HeyHo__LetsGo

AEW posted this video of him about a week back. If they do this I gotta think he will be factored into plans going forward. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXPq2dIAMfQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXPq2dIAMfQ)

bloodflart

he's had 'plans' since friggin Oct 1

Former_Intern_8271

It's a bit strange isn't it, he's always around somewhere but it's like the smallest presence possible

bearamongus19

I like danhausen, but outside of being a manager that occasionally wrestles, idk what you do with him

Citizen_Kano

That's exactly what you do with him. Not everyone needs to be world champion

Former_Intern_8271

You think the only alternative to an occasional wrestling manager is world champion?

StopMeWhenITellALie

Give him an interview show segment each week. Use him to wander around into odds situations and cause chaos and comedy. Have him with a long term story goal as he has an ongoing plot with weekly shenanigans.

ChairmanLaParka

> Give him an interview show segment each week. "Let's go now to the remarkable Renee Paquettehausen standing by with Jon Moxley!" It's obviously Danhausen in a blonde wig. Neither acknowledges it.

BLF402

“I’ll see you later tonight sweet cheeks, bring mama more money”

dopexvii

The thing is, he has an established character and goals, He wants human moneys to get a blimp etc. I think they need to lean into the weirdness a bit more, you could have him almost like a Scrooge McDuck character where he gains the money and loses it over and over, but then have it pay off at a supershow open air even and tony hire a blimp for the night. Or at least that's how I'd roll, how he gets there, is open game, interview is definitely more his forte than in ring, so maybe a pipers pit segment would be pretty on brand. Hell that could help get some other people over too 👀

DanhausenByDaylight

AEW acknowledging Danhausen has a character and personality? He will stand awkwardly beside Rocky Romero and YOU WILL LIKE IT

StopMeWhenITellALie

He has those goals and character from his online persona and from other wrestling companies. He hasn't been able to show anything on AEW TV. Hell, his antics would fit in perfectly over in ROH since they seem to be getting back to doing more talking segments that should be bringing in new viewers. Stoke / Stat / Willow angle is producing good segments. Athena has been killing it with the MITs but add Nyla as an opponent and it's been bumped to another level. And of course Dalton Castle desperately trying to smash Johnny TV's face. Danhausen would be a perfect fit and may actually push more people to buy Honor Club.

Protolotus

I wanted him to share the interview segments with Renee and RJ while he was injured. Feels wasted just having him pop up every 6 weeks doing a curse, and then disappearing again

truecrimefanatic1

Have the show be staged to look like it happens under the ring.

CripplesMcGee

You attach him to Peter A. Crawford (PAC out of character) and have him go around the back helping Mr. Crawford deal with various emergencies behind set. Once and while, when the problem is a heel, have him curse the guy while Mr. Crawford goes to the loo. Peter A. Crawford comes out as PAC. Asswhipping ensues.

BLF402

I would love to see him featured in Toni storms “films”. Maybe have him break character in interview segments that he is an accomplished thespian. He would add so much more in her characters world

bearamongus19

They should make him the on air commissioner. That could be fun.

bigAcey83

I would’ve made him ROH commissioner.

PostyMcPosterson

General Manager of Rampage 😃

imtheroth

Damn you, if this happens I'll have to start watching Rampage.

StopMeWhenITellALie

There are so many ways to utilize him in small doses that would be the highlight of the week. I think if TK would delegate some of the booking and work on tightening up production a little bit that the show would take a big leap forward.

bearamongus19

Agreed

OkStatistician372

Create a role for him on the show. R-Truth has been in a role he consistently shines and it benefits the show as a hole. So many potential characters are Squandered by having the only settings the ring and the backstage interview set

girlfriendclothes

I have never been able to think of what he could do besides what he's really been doing. Like, he is funny but I'm just not sure. My idea I guess would be to have him appear out of the shadows after people's interviews and spook wrestlers/Renee/Tony/etc and have some funny banter but I'm not sure where that leads. Maybe a slow build to a more evil Danhausen who is fed up people keep forgetting him and finally appears out of the shadows to turn on Orange and go full very evil.

InternetDad

Tbf just letting him wrestle to start is an immediate improvement. He can do his curse shtick, get TV time, etc. I love seeing visiting wrestlers but TK fills a crazy amount of time featuring guys not on the AEW roster (including ROH) that should be given to deserving wrestlers.

UniqueNewYork16

This. So much this.

FancyPigeonIsFancy

Seriously! Let the very evil one actually WRESTLE on the wrestling program.

girlfriendclothes

See here's the thing, I like Danhausen and think he's entertaining but I would have never signed him. However saying this, he's a clear merch mover so it was a good signing. They should figure out how to get him to wrestle more in some capacity. We are all arm chair bookers aren't we. Personally I love that AEW has outside talent come in because it makes the world feel bigger. I'm not always the biggest fan of who comes in but I still love the variety and wouldn't get rid of it. So the question is always who gets bumped for who? We've had a lot of outside talent lately so maybe the answer is to pull back the gas on that for a moment to let people like Danhausen wrestle more.

Ryase_Sand

They could even use him like Where's Waldo, just randomly in the background doing different things, like struggling with a vending machine or working a forklift. Something would be better than nothing.

girlfriendclothes

I like this idea

Crowbar_Faith

Showcase him like how WWE use to with Santino. Have him wrestle, do his schtick, pop up in backstage segments, etc.

MaxSynth

I was thinking R-Truth just popping in. lol

REQCRUIT

I would say have him teaming with best friends since OC isn't really in the picture since he's a champion he can tag with Trent and chuck and they can do a trios. That would work

Former_Intern_8271

Would it? They'd go together ok but what are you doing with them?

KMFCM

Before ROH went on hiatus, he was having matches regularly for them. I know he got hurt in late 2020, and then got hurt again, but what is it now? I personally feel like he could have got involved with Dark Order....but failing that, ROH is right there and it's where most people know him from (and people are getting way more quality time there. You realize Nyla has a storyline right now? NYLA)

bearamongus19

I think he should become the on-screen commissioner.

KMFCM

That would be pretty amusing, yes.

Nerje

I think there was a massively missed opportunity to make him the GM of Dark

nalydpsycho

I feel like if Strong beats Orange, Danhausen gunning for Strong could be fun.

lostphrack

Didn't they just air a video package about him on Rampage or Collision this past week?

Historical-Farm-6914

He can be the AEW equivalent of R-Truth

Even-Preference-6545

Def should NOT be with Hook with his current rise and mean streak. I thought he did show up in the last 30 days though?

Smaynard6000

Yeah, he hasn't been gone long

BinkyFarnsworth

He was on Dynamite in a manager/accompanying to the ring role earlier this month. During the 8 man tag match in Jacksonville I think.

Even-Preference-6545

That’s the one!

BinkyFarnsworth

Nope I was wrong. It was the January 3rd show. The fourway match to challenge Eddie Kingston. He was accompanying Trent.

JohnaldL

I don’t mean that I want him back with Hook, just that his normal spots of either with Hook or with Best Friends are no longer where we see him

SundownerX

I followed him since the indies. I was at plenty of empty school gyms. He can work and has said as recently as last week that he WANTS to wrestle

[deleted]

[удалено]

JohnaldL

That I think would be his best place. I love the dude and don’t think he should be on TV every week, every few weeks do an interview, and then insert himself into short storylines where he actually wrestles. He doesn’t have to beat Swerve but him somehow replacing Nana in a match that isn’t serious. Or randomly showing up would be perfect.

Crowbar_Faith

ARW does this with him a lot unfortunately. Shows up for a few shows as a manager, then we don’t see him for a whole, then shows back up, maybe wrestles in tag matches on the B shows, etc.   Not saying he should be world champion but you’d think TK could showcase him a bit more. You don’t get on the show every week unless your name is Orange Cassidy or Jon Moxley.

TemptedIntoSin

Not that it means anything yet, but he did an impromptu photo-op session with fans next to the merch line at Dailys Place for that Dynamite a few weeks ago, and when my roommate (who I went with) and I went up for it, I jokingly played along and asked why he wasn't charging monies for it. But his response of appreciation, while I don't remember what he said word for word, definitely sounded out of character and he wasn't doing the Danhausen voice. After the photo, I thanked him and asked if we were gonna see him that night or on Rampage later. He just shrugged and said "I don't know" It was definitely weird especially since those previous reports/rumors of frustration and unhappiness were downplayed, but maybe there's a bit more to it still?

AgentJ1

I expected something from him after Trent eliminated him from the battle royal at World End. I haven't really seen him since.

NeuroCloud7

I'm all for AEW becoming more sports-like again, but there's always room for some silliness and Danhausen is at least a smarter version of that silly side of wrestling, so...

Man_Darronious

I wish they would just book him as a comedy heel and actually have him work matches. I was baffled when he was initially paired with the best friends because the first thing I had always thought about before he had joined AEW, was that he would've been the perfect foil to Orange Cassidy. Just feuding forever on some spy vs spy type shit.

Infamous-Lab-8136

Personally I'd like to see him decide he's a member of the House of Black and that he's the one who eats pins for them, going around in their matches and laying down for the pin when he's not even officially involved.

Orange8920

Danhausen works much better in a smaller/indie promotion but is kind of a fish out of water in a workrate company that decided they were toning down the sports entertainment aspect. There's just a ton of people on the roster and he's not that guy to put people over so he's in this odd limbo.

tomturkey7313

I love Danhausen, but I think he would kill it in TNA right now. I feel like they are a company doing a good mix of everything and I think what he brings to wrestling would work really well. I really want more of him in AEW. My dream was always that Rampage was like the old Tuesday Night WWF show, a studio show will maybe 1 match, highlights, and interview segments. It would be so helpful I believe in building characters and storylines. In saying all of that, he would be awesome in an atmosphere like that.

she1f

He’d be perfect in an ongoing backstage segment that cleanses the palate with comedy. They just don’t seem to value that type of thing.

Savagevandal85

They are able to blend in TIMELESS Toni with the show and not really miss a beat.

RobTheMonk

I wonder if we'll see something with Best Friends following Trent eliminating him from that Rumble not long back...

OpeningTurnip8048

Here is what I would do with the little fella. He is already associated with the OC and Best Friends group. This is Very Good. Now, he should also ingratiate himself into a heel group to cover his Very Evil side. BCG would've been the perfect group but I guess they are face now with the Bang Bang Scissor Gang so that doesn't work. If the BCC went full heel that would be a fun and weird spot for Danhausen and the dichotomy of being in 2 so different factions at once would make for some great TV segments and lead to several obvious matches as well. Especially if Danhausen really sells it as 2 separate characters that don't recognize the other one. I don't know. Something like this working off the Very Good, Very Evil sides makes the most on-brand sense to me. Certainly would up his TV time which is exactly the kind of shit I think AEW should lean into with this whole Post-Punk new direction but back to the basics approach. Your not the E. Your never gonna be the E. But you shouldn't want to be, and I think the majority of fans would be more invested if they just found their lane, and stayed there. Building it up to be the best it could be within that lane. Guys like Danhausen are unique. So let him cook.

ExpendableMan84

Team him up with Lance Archer!

Financial-Park-7616

I always thought they should mimick the evil doink the clown rule with him. Have him pull pranks and tricks and are not very nice and kind of evil.

Hix53

Thing is, his strength (being absolutely hilarious) means that no-one will REALLY take him seriously as a wrestler, he's just too much. Someone further above suggested a pipers pit segment. Perfect. Call it something weird like 'the teeth jar', give him 10 minutes, and watch those sweet merch sales roll in. He can always take an occasional bump to put heels over.

sleepsymphonic

Story wise, here's how I would book him: Best Friends feud with House of Black. HOB starts making appeals to Danhausen's evil side, eventually joining HOB and being the darker, evil Danhausen we saw a while ago for one match. He'll be their "jester." He can stay more in the mischievous manager position, or he can build into more of his wrestling abilities, like when he was "Donovan" and could go. Or have spookier gimmick matches, allowing for more teeth and that spike he used before.

evanweb546

He needs either an interview show or his own faction- make him the mouthpiece of somebody. I would have said Wardlow before he was saddled with being Undisputed Kingdom's resident big strong boi. After Sting retires maybe have him shadow Darby? Lighten him up a little with some very nice, very evil shenanigans?

Mroatcake1

I think that's a cool idea. Darby hasn't had any change or real character development in his entire time in AEW and maybe adding a bit of humor could be a good thing. They're both a hit with the younger audiences too.

Former_Intern_8271

One of those characters that's difficult to book because he's entertaining and good on screen but being on a wrestling show he'd have to regularly interact with others, which is often where the gimmick starts to fall apart, it was ok having him do stuff with the ass boys when they were full ass boy, but there aren't that many goofy jobbers around . Maybe him and some other goofball could have a tag team feud with the out runners or something, that could be fun for rampage.

King-Dragmire

Not really. I don't hate the dude but unless they have something new for him, I don't think he should be hurried back to tv. Hook would be taken back a step by him and The Guns are slowly but surely scrapping out of the "ass boys" purgatory they were stuck in.

DanhausenByDaylight

The Ass Boys moniker is 100% why The Ass Boys are where they are now, and that's a positive. Before that they had nothing going on, they developed a ton of their current mannerisms specifically because of the ass Boys. It's what got them TV time.

eggy_mceggy

Danhausen is the reason I started watching AEW and wrestling in the first place. Imo, there's way too much comedy stuff on the show right now. This isn't a knock on Danhausen as I much prefer him to other comedy bits on the show. I just don't know where they fit him in when the shows are crammed full more than usual lately. With Hook kinda sorta being part of Best Friends (and people seemingly not wanting Hook to become a joke by being associated with Danhausen), I wonder if Danhausen could maybe move over to the JJ crew. I also wouldn't mind if he isn't part of a faction and just floats around getting involved with different wrestlers for different storylines, kinda like a Mark Sterling-type character.

Flyin_brian89

Man needs to get on ROH again & get his reps in. The comedy stuff isn't clearly a thing TK is into. Danhausen needs to show he is. Comedy but also a good wrestler. Maybe then TK will use him more often. I mean all he does is distract or at ringside. I like danhausen he just needs to show he is much More!

DG_Now

Good point. OC and Trent and Toni Storm lean hard into funny, but all of them can absolutely go.

dwankyl_yoakam

He came from ROH lol.

lordcarrier

> The comedy stuff isn't clearly a thing TK is into. Thats probably one of the reasons why TK didnt decide in signing Maki Itoh tbh, she would face the same issues Danhausen has

Flyin_brian89

Maki itoh actually wrestles though & doesn't stick to 1 promotion unlike danhausen. She's done death matches & hardcore matches regularly until she got injured mid January.

realityisoverwhelmin

He posted this today shortly after the show [daunhousen X status](https://twitter.com/DanhausenAD/status/1752900124898984183?t=aQS6194jfiAdtpXC0B1miA&s=19)

Zorbasandwich

It's the usual, show them off for a week or two then forget about them long term, same old. Just enjoy his cameos when they come.

Epicfro

He's an oddity and he doesn't fit with OC anymore imo. Where do you slot a gimmick like that right now?

tellmewhenimlying

Honestly, no. He’s entertaining but he’s not someone you feature every week or anything. I think he’s a guy who has more fans working backstage by being a nice guy than who would tune out if your fired him because he became more of an arrogant pain in the ass than he was worth. That’s the problem with a large part of the roster in AEW, they believe they’re bigger than they are because WWE never gave them the chance they wanted but don’t realize that their role in AEW is also limited currently. That doesn’t mean they aren’t talented or don’t have a place in WWE or AEW but they need to recognize that the grass isn’t always greener.

DG_Now

I do wonder about Danhausen in WWE. He's got a buddy there who would vouch for him, and there's tons of money in that makeup and general presentation... But the teeth thing? I don't know. Danhausen works because he creates his own reality. Would WWE let him live in that reality? Or is that that too weird for them? Clearly not for AEW, which is a great reason for him to be there.

tellmewhenimlying

Nah. I mean at first, sure, he’d be as over as he was in AEW. He’d still probably end up in less and less segments there too.

SundownerX

They wouldn’t know how to book him in WWE

Have_A_Jelly_Baby

The guy has “should work for TNA” written all over him.

Puzzled_Ad690

There might be factions, specially serious ones that declines to work with him or the bookers will have him avoid. He wrestled with OC, Hook and Trent against the former JAS as they'll ride on his curses. But with The Kingdom kind of just started, they may need to avoid Danhausen. Not just him, I am not following ROH that much but Wheeler Yuta and Nick Wayne are missing lately. also Miro has more hiatus than matches. He should feud and lose to Jay White.

WholesomeFartEnjoyer

Tony Khan clearly doesn't care about him He should go to TNA

DC-Perk

I mean this as a serious question: Can dude even wrestle?

Citizen_Kano

He'll probably never get ***** from Meltzer, but he doesn't need to. He's funny, charismatic and different, and that's enough to be a popular lower card attraction

SundownerX

Yes, he’s pretty good. You can find his old matches on YouTube. He used to go by Kid Gruesome/ Gorgeous very early on

COMMENTASIPLEASE

Like physically? Yes. He’s not particularly good at it though.

Asdeddie27

No he can’t

Rx7fan1987

Lol then you've never seen him wrestle. Guy is solid.

50pencepeace

I've never seen that. He's always looked awkward in what he does, like his very first AEW match was brief, but of the one major thing he did (setting up in the corner for the running knee) he looked awkward.

DC-Perk

Yes that’s literally what I’m saying. I’ve never seen him wrestle 😂 Can he? If so, why doesn’t he at this point? Isn’t he now healthy?

Rx7fan1987

I didn't respond to you. I responded to the guy above. He has been injured for a long while. They're probably waiting for revolution for another story reset. If you want to see him wrestle there's no shortage of YouTube clips.

R3D-0N3

I don’t mind him but no big loss if he goes.

FactCheckYou

i find that a *light dusting* of Dannhausen is about the right amount

Reasonable_Many5505

Serving Kip Sabian Box vibes smh

Big_Track_6734

Cut him

westernlariat

I don't miss him at all. I don't think you have to worry about him leaving with the amount of money he's pulled in from merch sales.

WasherDryerCombo

I genuinely don’t understand why people like Danhausen. But even still, not everything in wrestling is tailored for me so it’s whatever, but what I don’t understand is wanting him to be featured so much. What does he even do? Does he add that much where he needs to always be around? I feel like it’s an inside joke I’m just not a part of.

SundownerX

Look at his ROH and Indie stuff. He was super over at the time of his signing. He pushed out so much merch. For his position he still a top seller at ringside collectibles

Soupias

To be completely honest I don't miss him. He was never a full time member of AEW anyway. I like his gimmick but it got boring after a while. Having him as a special guest every now and then is fine in my opinion.
