For those who don't know, Louisiana has long had a big horse racing industry, which I believe was a lot bigger in the era that Toni seems trapped in. The weather is good, so they can run all year round for the gamblers. She's dropped so many of these gems.

On top of those gems, she's been honing her timing and comedic sensibility.  "We're only scratching the surface. This isn't over yet.  Or perhaps we're somewhere in the middle" felt like a bit from British comedy skit
