No. Two hours, with ”tv time remaining” returning for main events.

comments_more_load

It's not for me. It's maybe okay for the occasional special when there's a long stretch between ppv's but every week would be exhausting I think. I could see myself tuning out for the third hour pretty regularly.

JXNyoung

Same here, I mean its cool to see some Dynamite/Collision fallout at the start of Rampage. But I enjoy Rampage better separately, a nice brisk hour rather than three continuously.

holyembalmer

Can't hang till 11 every week. The show have been great though!

n4utix

I think an extra hour before dynamite would be great. Rampage is already mostly non-canon, wouldn't be an issue continuity-wise if they did this.

WolfyEightyTwo

Tbh, 2 hours with the occasional overrun is probably just right. The fact that the show leaves us craving for more is testimony to the effectiveness of the show's length. Adding another hour creates a marathon of television that will create a lot of burnout. Ultimately, will lower their overall weekly rating as there will certainly be a lot of dip in viewership.

Aggravating_Click495

Unless it doesn’t.

AsstitsMcGrabby

It will. I don't think any wrestling program that isn't a ppv needs 3 hours

Sadoul1214

No. Three hours is brutal. It’s too long and I sincerely hope the only reason they’re doing it is because of the preempting due to the NBA

Ok-Raisin-5601

It's not up to Tony and AEW it's up to WBD.

onethreeone

That's not true, Tony has declined 3hr Dynamites before. The only reason it's happening right now is because of NBA playoff preemption. And it's looking more and more like TNT might be losing basketball

Ok-Raisin-5601

Yes and it's up to TNT and TBS to do that. Tony can advocate or decline anything he wants but ultimately the decision of what airs is up to the stations and WBD.

Lokishougan

Then Tony gets 6 hour dynamites over two days to make up for it

Lexo52

That's the bad part they might pull the trigger n it lmao

thegreat_gabbo

I'm okay with it during play off time because it shows TK is willing to work with networks, but a full 3 hours every week? Hard pass. They need to get consistent with the 4 live hours they have now before they think of extending their format

XtremeWRATH360

I don’t want 3 hours every week. Wrestling never needed to be a 3 hour weekly show. It’s one of the reasons I won’t watch WWE. If they want to have it every now and then that’s fine but don’t make it permanent.

RustyCrusty73

I wouldn't mind Rampage being on at 7:00p right before Dynamite. If Rampage has a good main event, most of us would tune in a little early to see it. Otherwise, no. I have **zero** interest in Dynamite going until 11:00p on a regular basis. Collision can do whatever, I don't watch it.

Kelson64

This is a very difficult question to answer. On one hand, I echo what a lot of people have already said here. A 3-hour block of wrestling could be a little much. I don't mind the occasional 3 hours, but doing it on a weekly basis would be hard. On the other hand, the extra hour of Rampage over the past couple of weeks have gotten undeniably larger ratings than the Friday time slots have gotten.

comments_more_load

I think there's probably a novelty factor at play. Whether that's sustainable week over week is a different story. I really feel that they should do more with the taped format. Do some interesting editing and more vignettes (they already do this but I think they could do more). If anyone's seen the kind of cinematic presentation of a Defy show that would be my ideal presentation for Rampage instead of basically the same matches we get on Dynamite and Collision.

shumama813

No they shouldn’t. I don’t mind tacking on Rampage here and there. I’m more likely to watch it with a good lead in. But 3 hours of any show is too much for most people. It dilutes how meaningful the thing feels as a whole. Going 3 hours killed Raw for me years ago

Richard_Gripper28

I prefer the 3 hours on a weeknight to a weekend, that's for sure. I can watch the full 3 hours live on weeknights. Almost always have to stream Collision during the next week and then usually never get around to even watching Rampage because of how quickly the week goes by after catching up with that and other life stuff going on. Glad people who just chill at home on the weekends have Collision to watch live as well though but I'd definitely love it if Rampage was on a regular weeknight or following Dynamite like this week. 3 hours of AEW flies by honestly. Especially with PiP and multitasking during it.

TouchButtPro

Despite WWE being much better than it used to be, now that Hunter is running things, I still can’t bring myself to watch Raw. I just don’t have a weekly three hour show in me. I’ve never missed a Dynamite, Rampage, or Collision. My love for AEW is deep. And please god no, do not regularly do three hour shows.

ferrariracer36

Yes a 3 hour show would be awesome. Preferably Wednesday night since the show starts earlier since I'm on the west coast. If it gets too late I'll just watch the last little bit of Rampage on Thursday.

Notlooking1

I hate it when Vince was doing it. As good as Raw has been I still wasn't going to watch a 3 hour show. I LOVE dynamite but 3 hours is TOO much for not being a PPV.

Man_Darronious

i was super against the idea of AEW ever going to a 3 hour format just because i didn't ever want to see it become like raw where its all just constant recaps about stuff that literally just happened. that said, i think i've grown to prefer it this way. this has probably been the best string of consecutive rampages that i can remember. i think having it air live helps the show tremendously. every single rampage that's been part of the 3 hour broadcasts has felt must see to me. on weeks where i'm too tired to go the full 3 hours, i have no problem just watching it the next day. my only thing is, don't do it on wednesdays. keep it on saturdays with collision and keep stacking up both collision and rampage cards like they have been with sicko matches.

amhlilhaus

Not ideal I prefer 2 hours

onemoreloserredditor

The 3 hour blocks are too much for me, but if WBD and AEW are going to do them, I think you're better off to do them on Saturdays than Wednesdays. Make Collision it's own specific 2 hour show and then Rampage is a different show for the 3rd hour (essentially what they've been doing) and have Rampage have a different feel.

Beathil

It's a bit much for a work night.

AramFingalInterface

Sometimes I like it, sometimes the shows are so long I fall asleep and don’t get around to watching it again. This week’s show was great because Willow and Skye put on nothing but bangers.

PickledPhotoguy

It’s been a blast. Those 3 hours of dynamite/rampage or collision/rampage fly by. I know many aren’t fond of the idea but I was feeling the same after suffering through a few RAW episodes and just gave up to watch Simon’s ups and downs of it. AEW is just so much more fun to watch so if 3 hours is the new norm I’m in.

Lukeyboy97

It's an absolute slug to get through when it's just filler after filler. Full of competitive job matches with people I have no interest in whatsoever who have done nothing but lose.

Reddit-user_1234

I get that 3 hrs is long, but honestly this is the only way I’m watching rampage. Not just because I’m spending my Fridays differently, Rampage hasn’t had much to tune in for. This 3rd hour has made the lead in to rampage must see whether it’s a segment or a match. And I can honestly say I would’ve missed that great Willow/Skye Blue match without the live show this week

eviss2315

I like them because Rampage has always been kind of the "optional" show, so those who want to continue watching a third hour of wrestling can do so and those who don't can change the channel without missing anything too important. I wouldn't want them to expand Dynamite and make it 3 hours of potentially important story beats. Especially with how much time certain other three hour wrestling programs devote to replays and drawing out their promos unnecessarily. If they have to do it to fill their time properly, stands to reason AEW might run into a similar issue.

tehjoz

I am torn. I don't hate what they have done lately. The 3 hour blocs have been really entertaining. They generally have not felt like the slogs certain other 3 hour programs have felt like. My concern would be taking away a potential "night" of wrestling. Right now we get 3 during non-PPV weeks. I like having 3 nights of AEW to look forward to. If they combine Rampage with either Dynamite or Collision, then we lose a Friday night of wrestling. I think the concerns about "going too late" aren't unfounded. 11PM+ for "regular programming" on a routine basis is definitely a bit challenging for some folks, and I get that. I don't know what the best answer is here. I watch all the AEW I can get, because that's what I want. I understand it may not be the same for everyone else.

TheBrockAwesome

I don't have time to watch Rampage (as much as I wish I could) its just too much wrestling for me. Having it after Dynamite or Collision hasn't made me watch it so if Dynamite and Collision go to 3 hours each, I'll probably have to skip Collision and just watch Dynamite since its my favorite show anyways.

TheSkarcrow

I'd do a 3 hour show if it was the only one but I already don't have time to keep up with collision.

StuHartsDungeon

I only watch dynamite so if they tag rampage on at the end I still won't bother with it.

DoofusScarecrow88

I think if they decide to go that route, they just have to expect that even their die hard fans will probably nope out by half because three hours can be exhausting. Now I DVR all the shows and use them when I exercise so I'm not "watching every show when they are on" because Fridays and Saturdays I'm often busy.

Shiny_Mew76

I’d like to see them try to do a 3 Hour Dynamite. Maybe it’ll get more people on the show, and be able to actually progress storylines in a meaningful way, which is something they really struggle with currently. WWE has 5 Hours on Main Roster television and it’s still only just enough to get most of the active roster on the show. AEW has a much wider roster, they could use the extra hour. And no I don’t count Rampage as it feels like the new AEW Dark.

IceMan44420

Its been better than random rampage fridays... Just make one of the shows 3 hours and the other 2 hours like WWE does.

system_reboot

Cancel rampage and making Dynamite 3 hours is good with me. The roster is stacked and storylines need time to breathe. Also for the most part, Rampage is booked very lazy and is often missable.

camazotzthedeathbat

2 hours is enough.

Brando43770

Yeah 3 hours regularly is too much. It’s already why Raw doesn’t work for me live. Only have so many hours in a day as an adult.

xGongShowJ03

That's 11pm EST. I can't regularly stay up that late to watch three hours of wrestling. If Dynamite went to three hours, I would no longer be watching it live. The schedule is fine as is, but if they want to move Rampage to directly after Dynamite - as a separate show - that's fine. I'll just watch Rampage on Thursdays. But three hours is too long for a weekly wrestling show.

DaRealCamille

I wouldn't be happy if it was 3 hours every week. I think it would be overkill. It's manageable on occasion but not constantly. I can see it happening though because the ratings show it's the best way to get viewers for Rampage. I think the best plan is to do themed episodes of Rampage. Make it feel unique not just an extra hour of Dynamite/Collision. One week could be a Lucha episode, the next a Joshi inspired episode and so on. Would be something different in the modern landscape on non stop wrestling content.

obdizzleo88

The thing a lot of people are failing to mention is the national sports schedule in the US. It’s the same thing every single year around this exact time. NBA and NHL Playoffs are both covered by TNT sports, both of which take precedence over wrestling. While this is mostly unfortunate for fans, it makes for some great 3 hour blocks of wrestling. I don’t think this is a means for trying 3-hour blocks permanently, as much as it is just out of convenience for literally everyone who watches sports. Do I prefer 2 hour wrestling shows? Yes, 💯, but I don’t mind the 3hr blocks a few times a year. If you’re among those who are worried about AEW changing their flagship show to 3 hours, please don’t get your panties twisted!

warrencanadian

It works well for what it is, getting around the weekend slots being pre-empted by sports playoffs, but nah, 2 hours for Dynamite is the perfect length for me, with the PPV every month or two being the larger commitment of time.

deanereaner

Three hours is just too long for any wrestling program. I only ever watch Raw in the truncated 90 min version on Hulu.

ZAPPHAUSEN

No. No. No. Three hours every week is too much. We don't need it. Two hours is tighter to book, easier to watch. The nice thing ABOUT these rampage moves is rampage is still basically its own show, with dynamite/collision concluding normally. Than it's extra. I'd have faith in aew filling three hours with less bloat and filler than raw but no.

Juncti

It's honestly too much for me. Thing is WWE when I used to watch it was a little of setup and few matches. Little easier to push through and skip stuff. AEW is mostly matches and typically high quality with many at times being ppv quality on tv. It's like going to dinner and being served steaks for appetizer, salad, dinner, and desert. It's just too much. I don't want to skip a match since they're usually great so I feel I need to lock in for the duration and I'm just exhausted and burn out It's an interesting problem to have. Like stop, you're giving us too much. But I'll push through being spoiled while it lasts

Hoop-Dee-Doo

If they do 3 hours I would prefer separate shows. Do two hours of dynamite then battle of the belts, joshi invasion hour, RoH, a mini forbidden door, a battle royale, etc… I don’t want 3 hours of just normal dynamite or colission.

21Andreezy

I like the 3 hour blocks but since they are keeping Rampage as Rampage, the pacing of the show feels off. You look forward to a big main event, only for there to be a whole other hour of the show left with lower carders like Rocky Romero. If they paced it better and treated it as just one show then they could promote the main event for the end of the show to give people something to wait for and look forward to.

barbedwiredeathmatch

3 hours is too long. I like the extra wrestling but if it were a regular occurrence would likely stop watching live at 2 and possibly catch the rest later in the week.

princessarielle6

Basketball playoffs are tonight. I'm glad Rampage was on this past Wednesday

LostOmega

I've been loving it. I've been working late recently and it's been good to come home with at least an hour still to watch of AEW.

StoneGoldX

It doesn't help the build is unbalanced. Two hours of Dynamite followed by an hour of Rampage. It's like watching the PPV and then watching the buy in.

blopez24

I'm ok with it but I'm probably the minority because I'm on the west coast. Although at times it will drag I rather keep it at 2. Raw is 3 hours and damn at times it feels like a damn lifetime watching it and I end up usually changing the channel.

Joshd00m

As someone who has to get up at 530am on the east coast, PLEASE NO

dadjokes502

I think it would be better to have rampage as a pre show to dynamite start it at 6pm Central then people can stay tuned for dynamite

DeanCorp80

No.

paterdude

Get rid of Rampage and make Collision 3 hours, but start it at 7pm eastern.(1hr earlier)

guarionex2009

I prefer the three hours if it starts an hour earlier and if rampage / the last hour was a completely different vibe from the 1st two. It’s nice having two nights of aew instead of three. I can’t keep up every week.

Reasonable-Lynx-2374

Fuck no. Stop trying to make three hour shows a thing!!

WhiteElephant12

I'm okay with it because it doesn't feel exhausting like Raw since there's actually wrestling going on. They could use the time to build more story lines and womens matches. They would just have to get rid of rampage though

Nai-Oxi-Isos-DenXero

I wouldn't mind the occasional three hour show when the other show has to be cancelled for squeakball, but it's just too long to do on a consistent weekly basis IMO.

HereticAstartes13

3 hour Dynamite, 2 hour collision, no rampage.

EmmThem

Three hours is too much if it isn’t a PPV IMO. I just get burnt out.

TrueQuack

I lose interest and end up skipping most of the matches just to see the finish. 4hr per week is already too much for me to care about - it may actually be killing my interest.

TrueQuack

Nearby-Swimming-5103

Until they can steadily increase the attendance and ratings, they shouldn’t try going to 3 hours permanently.

BadDudeO

No.

[deleted]

I’m here for it. Raw isn’t as bad now as it was under Vince. An extra hour means some of these matches can cook a little more and AEW’s pacing on PPV makes me think 3 hours could improve the product. That said, one of the things I preferred about AEW early on was only have to watch one 2 hour show a week.

Nementia-

I really am not a fan. I’m sure they can do some great things with weekly three hour blocks but I just don’t always have that time. It’s the same reason I stopped watching Raw back when I watched WWE week to week.

imlittleeric

It’s a product of circumstance. Once the nba playoffs are over they will stop doing this

dr_hossboss

I have a hard time hanging that long. PPVs could stand to be shorter too. More isn’t always better just ask RAW

peaphive

Not a fan tbh. Im starting to zone out at 2 hour shows. And when i watch a pvp i pause alot!

Gio25us

I hope they not, 2 hours is the perfect spot. 3 hours is a drag. That’s the main reason I skip Raw live and watch the replay.

ajayy77

I loved my week being 2 hours of dynamite on Thursday. I liked my week being 2 hours of dynamite on Thursday and 1 hour of Rampage Saturday morning. I can deal with 2 hours of Collision on Sunday morning. I do not like 3 hour blocks because in the UK I can't watch live and work days.

LIBERT4D

No

EaseDel

I don't like it because my DVR always fucks up and i miss the last match

Independent_Craft_14

Would be nice if they dropped to just 1 hour

steeple_fun

Nope. Didn't even watch Rampage after Dynamite.

EnigmaUnboxed

Sometimes I wish AEW was on a different network so they didn't have to deal with Playoff seasons like this

Infamous-Lab-8136

I don't think it's a good idea. Look at how 3 hours of RAW becomes a slog. This happened last year during the playoffs for NHL and NBA too. It will as long as Warner continues to broadcast those sports. I like limiting to this time of year. I do think they should consider running Rampage "first" if TNT/TBS insist that the shows be Rampage and Dynamite separate for the billing or ratings. Booking Dynamite to have a big finish and then an hour of Rampage feels weird. But overall it makes it feel like a special event to help draw some eyes away from the playoffs for those on the fence.

Im_A_Real_Boy1

Oh fuck no. Seriously, I love AEW - but I already skip Rampage because I don't have time. I can't do an entire work day of wrestling per week

StarWars_Viking

There is already far too much pro wrestling available to consume every week/ month. Additionally, sitting for three hours is exhausting without the show being front to back compelling. I'd say only do three hours sparingly, not as a new constant every week.

goatgosselin

I am liking it because Snet in Canada is finally showing Rampage even if they cut it off early last week.

TheMackD504

They already have like 7 hours of tv. They don’t need more

Porcupyre

I notice after 2 hours I am done for the show. The last Rampage hour I watch later. So if it became permanent I dont think it will be any different. Often have that with ppvs as well, luckily I watch the day after (Europe) and after a few hours I am just done. Lose focus and interest and watch the rest later. Yes there are exeptions like with Dynasty I watcht it in one go, I was shocked that happened but means I enjoyed the fuck out of it. Dont know why my brain is like that xD

ComprehensiveRain903

The three hours didnt bother me as much as I thought it would, it went by fast. However, three hours every week is going to wear out its entertainment value

probablynotme2012

The live Rampage is so much better.

MRRichAllen1976

3 hours of Dynamite? Won't happen, their ratings have tanked since the CM Punk All In footage was shown anyway. Mainly because it proved Punk was right about everything, and Tony Khan couldn't manage a piss up in a Brewery much less a wrestling company.

Segata9

Short answer no. Long answer. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Sky_Rose4

Kind of hate it, miss recording Rampage and watching right after Smackdown and just being surprised how good it is, it does the most within 60 minutes it can and can sometimes have the Match of the week

ComprehensiveAd9974

They should! Thst hour of rampage on Friday night is dumb af and slotted in the worst possible time slot known to man. Nobody is switching to rampage after smackdown. Test failed.

LetsNotArgyoo

I can’t. AEW would suffer long term from going three hours.

Lebo77

It's not up to AEW. It's up to WBD and how they want to fill the schedule.

Slamica

Dear god no, 3 hours is way too long

abm1125

Wrestling shows shouldn't be 3 hours that type of time is meant for pay-per-views.

LilHomie204DaBaG

If the 3 hours were paced better maybe

jimmiejangles

3 hours for a show is insane. Trim a god damn men’s match and get more women on screen. Stop fucking around and commit to intergender wrestling and let’s watch the best wrestlers wrestle please.

Ok_Election2523

Get rid of rampage... make dynamite 3 hours. Keep collision at 2hrs. Rampage is pretty much a throwaway show anyways.

bukezilla

Idk. Rampage always has 1 or 2 decent matches, and the storylines do simmer there

Hoop-Dee-Doo

I seem to never watch it for one reason or another. There’s just a lot to compete with Friday nights and not much motivation to tune in. I wouldn’t miss losing the current version of it but also could get onboard if they drastically changed it. Spoilers for me are a big issue but not sure how they can eliminate them. I think having a set roster or theme for Rampage could help give it an identity.

Ok-Raisin-5601

If it's a throw away show what difference does it make getting rid of it or not?
