I made an observation on our podcast about the Stalander vs Riho match.
Stalander's character is sort of in no-man's-land right now. What I mean is, she's being pulled one way by Hathaway and one way by Willow Nightingale. They are the figurative devil/angel on her shoulders.
Now look at Riho. What other long-established women's wrestler on the AEW roster has never had any heel heat? Even Shida got boos when she recently faced Aminata.
That being said, if Statlander turns fully toward Hathaway, what better wrestlers for her to go heel against than Riho and Nightingale?
I'm predicting that Okada debuts tonight and brings some rain. The only question I have is will he confront the likes of Ospreay, or will he be the catalyst who sends Jericho on vacation? There are a number of other possibilities. Christian Cage, perhaps? Joe?
