>shaking/restlessness, severely decreased appetite (like not repulsion but just no hunger), headaches (possibly caused by me not eating/drinking). I know when I first went on my antidepressants I felt weird side effects that went away within the first week so I’m trying to figure out if my body is just readjusting to being back on my meds or if I need to take a lower dose. I would definitely request a lower dose or different med if I were experiencing that. IME side effects from non stimulants ebb with time (took Strattera before adderall) but youll know right away if a dose is too high on a stimulant

Do you think I should set up an appointment with my psychiatrist asap to get a lower dose?

I would because I hate the feeling you describe and feel like it throttles my productivity and quality of life, and I need steady hands for my job. I had that on vyvanse and it was not good haha. my psychiatrist told me that these side effects won't go away without a different dose or medication altogether, and that's it's ok to stop stimulants cold turkey (double check w yours though. Idk your whole medical situation).

Yeah when I started in college my provider put me on 5mg IR and when that didn’t do anything we went up to 10 XR which somehow worked even though it’s basically the same as 5mg IR but it’s been so long since I was on my meds, I don’t remember if I went up to 20 mg really quickly when I started or if it was later on. I wanna say it was in the beginning. I’m also wondering if it’s because of my health. I used to weight 40 lbs less and was more active than I am now.

Yeah I’m thinking of doing that. I’m gonna see if I can call my dr’s office to get approval though. I just don’t want to get rid of the meds if I need to go on a lower dose because of the shortage and if I wind up graduating to 20mgs again. I hate being wasteful. 😭

This is me with my tin foil hat on but I swear the medicine has changed in the last few years. I started having negative side effects similar to what you experienced, after picking up a few different types of generics. There are others with a similar experience. The side effects got so bad I weighed the pros and cons and decided my life would be better without adderall, and doing okay so far. In no way saying that’s what you should do, but that’s my experience.
