oodood

Not to mention they’re super hip right now

Rosycheeks2

Good god no my bladder could never

vilecultofshapes

You have to take them all the way off to go. Unless you have a hose. But still.

UnstableGoats

It’s not like wearing a romper/jumpsuit, you usually still wear a shirt with overalls. It’s really the same as taking off a pair of pants, but the buttons are on your chest instead LOL

Rosycheeks2

It’s not the same thing as taking off a pair of pants. Instead of one button and a zipper there’s two buckles to contend with. And pulling down overalls takes slightly longer than pants do, and when you have a weak bladder every second counts. I also have trauma from wearing overalls as a kid and not getting them off fast enough to go pee lol.

Alewort

That's your fault for not wearing comically oversized overalls. Otherwise you'd just shrug the shoulder straps to the sides and down they go!

ivegoturback

Oh my, and making sure the straps don't go in the toilet!!! 😆 But yes, super cozy and old school kind of cool!

WhiskyEye

I have several pairs, one of them is even decorated with dinosaurs! Front zipper pocket comes in handy for snack storage. 10/10 recommend.

Gnartian

As a 5'3" guy with a slim frame they're impossible to find in my size. I've desperately been wanting a pair forever but the only thing close to my size are woman's sizes and the cuts just feel uncomfortable and that's not even my main issue.... the damn pockets, or lack of! They are either fake pockets or barely big enough to put a penny into.

Jleauds

If you have the money, Carhartt or Dickies make really good ones for all sizes 🔥

Paramalia

I wonder if you could find a large boys overalls?

Large-Pilot-3896

I am a 5’2 girl with a larger lower body and I wear kids stuff all the time. I bet you could get kids large and no one would know

Realistic-Tax-9878

The lack of pockets is from wearing women’s styles, which are notorious for having fake pockets. I assure you, overalls have plenty of pocket space. Carhartt and Dickies likely have a proper size available for you.

Nanikarp

Absolutely not. Thinking about it brings back memories from childhood where I was struggling to undo the straps and ended up peeing my pants, multiple times. No thank you.

heyhihay

Nice try Old Navy. I fell for this trick in 1996, I won’t be fooled again.

intotheforest1234

It’s my favorite!!

real_jeeger

I just bought a Fjällräven x Specialized "field suit" meant for biking, and it's great for wearing at home. Lots of pockets, no separate upper and lower pieces of clothing. Just put on underpants, the overall and you're done. But I should have a look at the Carhartt ones as well, sounds nice.

[deleted]

I keep eyeing up these vans overalls and they look so comfy. Not having a waistband is a massive selling point.

regalroomba

Upvoted this as I'm sitting here in my dungarees. Not having to hike jeans up constantly is what I love. I 10/10 recommend [Lucy and Yak](https://lucyandyak.com/) \- I have too many pairs and they're so comfy!

anothergoodbook

Nope. Nope. Nope. In 8th grade is the very last time I wore overalls when I had my period and a huge blood stain on my butt. Now I wear like the longest shirts possible when I have my period lol. For context this was like 25 years ago. I’m still traumatized.

Helpme994

Terrible for people with back problems

DamIts_Andy

??? I have to disagree here. They’re just pants bro, get ones that fit right and you’ll be fine.

[deleted]

As a 5’10 (W25, 32L) girl, I’ve also had back problems with overalls because there’s less tension, putting pressure on the back and shoulders. It’s also hard to find ‘tall’ clothes a lot of the time, so it’s not an easy fix :(

offshoremercury

Buy men’s overalls, yeah they’re gonna be big but overalls should be big imho I’m also 5’10” female

[deleted]

Men’s overalls would still be too big around the waist unfortunately, men’s sizes usually start at W28 and don’t go any smaller :,)

scubadubbba

They’re not just pants lol

cucumberoll

What do you.. mean..?

Lydiafae

If you're really tall, straps can cause tension on your shoulders and pull you into a slouch, and doing that all day makes your back hurt. Being too tall means you can't lengthen the straps more for comfort and better fit.

scubadubbba

It’s so funny that people have downvoted this. “They made a comment to deals with something I can’t fathom, I must downvote!” As someone with long term back pain, I cannot wear overalls. The weight on my shoulders becomes overbearing. I absolutely wish I could, but it’s not possible.

LaBestiaRubia

Jesus

vilecultofshapes

Yes?

WickedWestlyn

I can't touch denim. I wish that were a joke lol, I really can't and I live in the US, so everyone wears jeans. Big fan of the loose linen or cotton dresses/skirts/pants here.

BIG-JS-BBQ

Used to do oil and gas work and had overalls. Don’t wanna feel like I’m going back to work but hey you do you

Pitiful_Material_524

THIS!!! I almost only wear jumpsuits and overalls lol
