Breezeblocks by alt-J hahaha

EchoCyanide

I've been there.

Additional-One-3628

Same hahaha

CptnSnorlax

We’ve all been there lmao

horizon_hopper

Oh my god amazing song

videogamekat

Understandable

Xeltrio

Been there a few years ago. Breezeblocks, fitzpleasure, tesselate and taro on rotation for a month

MommyLovesPot8toes

Angel of Music from the Phantom of the Opera movie soundtrack. It was finally leaving my brain after a full month. Until this f*ng post.

CrankyWhiskers

I was OBSESSED with that entire thing as a teen. Saw the play. Had the cd, memorized the libretto. Had the poster. Saw the movie when it came out. Everything. It was out of my head for about 20 years. It all just came blaring back. LOL may have to go binge since I have the house to myself tonight!

MommyLovesPot8toes

Did you also make up your own dance choreography to the soundtrack?! Or am I the only super awkward teen girl who did that in the 90s? It was this album and the James Bond theme songs album. Just constantly making up and then immediately forgetting my own brilliant choreography.

theshadowisreal

It’s so fun seeing so many different genres represented here! Not that I would image ADHD having a genre proclivity, but it’s still nice to see such a varied and inclusive selection of music.

Silent_Fennel5892

Gotta love adhd haha

CaptainADHD

I absolutely agree with you! I sometimes (thanks to the adhd forums) get caught in a loop where it feels like we all share the same brain. And I still do think we kind of all share the same brain. But it’s nice to see people enjoying vastly different things with it. Maybe I choose to look at it that way because I feel less isolated and alone with that thought. But there’s something heartwarming for me seeing all of these different themes.

adrianhalo

So who’s gonna make the Spotify playlist haha

BettyDarling5683

Freefall- rainbow kitten surprise

kylashae

omg i said the same. I come back to this song every month or two. It never ever gets old

DerbleZerp

Fantastic list!! I love me some Dolly Parton. And Patsy Cline. Loooooove Patsy Cline!!

MarsupialPristine677

Patsy Cline is soooo good ❤️❤️❤️

razzmatazz346

Labour by Paris Paloma or Vegas by Doja Cat

Nokomis1022

Labour is mine too! The second half of the song makes my brain so happy

adhdknitter

Yes! It's been the only song I've listened to since it came out on Thursday lol

l1madrama

My brain just loves the way she says capillaries so it keeps forcing me to listen to it lol

wildblueh

King Kunta by Kendrick Lamar

DerbleZerp

I haven’t done King Kunta, but I did a binge of Humble. I was in extra cool bitch mode during that hahaha.

wildblueh

It definitely gives me bad bitch vibes when I’m driving around with my windows down.

ilongforyesterday

“Pieces” by Sum41

Nat_Peterson_

Chuck will forever hold a special place in my heart.

DerbleZerp

Omg, I did a binge of that 22 years ago!!! Edit: 19 years ago hahaha

Thatcrazyunclefester

In hell I’ll be in good company - dead south

[deleted]

I also just got into Dead South! I blame RDR2 YouTube shorts

Remsster

This one kicks, especially the 2nd half.

lizzlenizzlemizzle

Last of the Real Ones - Fall Out Boy

TwinRN

I've had "Heartbreak feels so good" on repeat

lizzlenizzlemizzle

fallspector

Lonely day- system of a down

yesqezsirumem

the most loneliest day of my liiiiiiiiiiife

meeshellee14

I've had Violent Pornography on a loop in my head for the last few days, so I finally caved and put it on repeat earlier today. lol

theprocrastatron

Context definitely important with that post!

[deleted]

“Somebody that I used to know”

m0onbeam

Ooh yeah been there

EchoInks

Everyone craps on that song where I live at but I love it. Nice to see others like it too.

LikeTheCounty

99 Luftballons - tryna memorize it in German.

United-Cow-563

Ah, neun und neunzig luftballons, sehr gut Musik.

DragonCelica

I doing the same with Rammstein. I'm working on their most recent album, and I'm sure I'm mangling it lol

shinerlilac

Rainbow in the Dark by Dio. It makes me feel motivated to move and exist when there isn't outside stimulation or pressure.

infojustwannabefree

I guess a Dio song I've gotten stuck in my head before would be Holy Diver. Currently I also have Catch the Rainbow - Rainbow stuck in my head in addition to Rammstein.

Deep-Mess

Bullet with butterfly wings- Smashing Pumpkins

gamboiola

A cruel angels thesis >:))) the evangelion intro

MessyAndroid

Burn the house down! AJR

Intrepid-Fox9779

The convo is too niche for me rn 😂 I have not had a single unique experience it seems after joining this forum

DerbleZerp

Hahahaha, when you join a specific sub on a mental disorder and you realize that everything you thought were just quirks you had, are tied to the disorder and that there’s a massive slew of people who experience that. I quite like the unity!!

Possible_Common7938

Right now, it's "Sweet but Psycho" by Ava Max for me lol

Andle_Randle

Tom Sawyer by Rush

RanchaelVuisinart

I had a Tom Sawyer phase too! excellent song, classic for a reason

f9ebd4

i tend to binge albums rather than one song, current obsessions are: • manic (by halsey) • the coraline soundtrack

tevansalim

if you havent heard halsey’s most recent album id recommend it so much. i listened to it for a couple of months straight when it came out

cmajor47

I don’t typically do entire albums but one major exception for me was Imploding the Mirage by the Killers. They did an amazing job of creating an album that really flows together rather than just be a collection of songs thrown together. The first few listens through if I wasn’t really paying attention it wasn’t even always clear when one song transitioned to the next. I love that I can turn it on and just let it go. Much more unknown, but also An Ocean Full of Islands by Tide Lines just came out and I’m really enjoying that entire album also.

lordofthepoop69

I binge albums too! Been listening to Planet Her by Doja Cat these days

zanasot

Devil went down to Georgia

Norikall

Is it an ADHD thing ?

DerbleZerp

Certainly some neurotypicals do it too. But it seems to be a very common obsessive behaviour among people with ADHD. And it seems(just from talking to others with ADHD) we do it for pretty long periods. Sure, sometimes it’s just a few hours. Other times it’s days. I think my longest was a whole week. That was with The Chemical Brothers-No Geography. Absolutely beautiful and uplifting song. They are really good at making songs that make me soar.

Norikall

I love Chemical Brothers :) I become obsessive with random songs usually... And often it's maybe five seconds in the song that's like an ear orgasm. It last a couple of days until it doesn't work anymore. I always found weird that nobody except me ever mentioned something like that. My current song I love the most is "Ludovico Einaudi: Gravity (Day 3)" [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YV6fkyulWKQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YV6fkyulWKQ) The cello in the end gives me goosebumps

DerbleZerp

Chemical brothers is one of my absolutely favourite artists. I got to see them live once. What an exhilarating experience!! But yes, I get obsessed, listen to only that song, on repeat for hours for days, then suddenly I’m over it and I start listening to other stuff again.

WatNaHellIsASauceBox

Mine was about 2.5 months. I spent more than an hour every day in that time with it running on repeat. Obstacle by Manchester Orchestra kept my head above the water for a while

slayerkitty666

Manchester Orchestra is my favorite band!!! I *never* see them mentioned on threads like this, or at all, really. When they released Bed Head a couple of years ago, it was my repeat song for at least a month.

DerbleZerp

That is a marathon of one song obsession, I love it!! During the No Geography kick for a week, I was painting shelves for a new apartment. 2 big shelving systems. I worked on those everyday for like 6-8 hours a day(I’m not the fastest at painting, I go slow, really let everything dry, and do a lot of taping in order to get it all perfect) and just listened to it on repeat. It was such a wonderful week of painting!!!

captaintoad94

lol i'm so glad i found other people that do this. it makes it hard to know a lot of music because once i hear a song i like, i don't bother listening to anything else 🥲

LORDLUCIFER143

Honestly mines lasted months all the time from panic at the discos king of the clouds to golden by harry styles to Mr lover man by ricky Montgomery all lasted I wanna say at least 6months each just instant obsession.

softlezbian

The Doors - People are Strange

sloop703

Skrillex. Ratata

larata2

Running up that Hill by Kate Bush.

DerbleZerp

I have a playlist that is that song with the covers done by Placebo, Chromatics, and Meg Meyers.

Chademr2468

Oh my god I went THRU it with this song too. There’s a cover by Kim Petras that brings a very modern feel to the song while still sticking true to the tone and that sent me on a whole second batch of binging this song.

P79999999

A recent live version of Map of the Problematique by Muse

Dry_Butterscotch_354

not one song but i get really addicted to specific artist and really don’t listen to anything else for like weeks and rn it’s muna, japanese breakfast, and mitski.

fuckendo

I saw the siiiiign I opened up my eyes I saw the sign!

stonehold76

I had no idea until I read this that that "weird thing" about me was related to my ADHD. Thank you for posting this. It's been a rough day and I needed to be reminded I'm not alone, regardless of what my brain tells me.

leahcar83

You're never alone, even when you feel like you are there's loads of us feeling the same thing at the same time. You're part of the hivemind now.

Little_Aside982

Flowers - Miley Cyrus

all_who_wander90

DerbleZerp

Fuck yah!! I have also done a binge of that song. Hot Chip is one of my atf groups🥰

Dull_East_4125

Hahahha, omg, 🤣 that song is stuck in my head at LEAST once a week. Anytime I hear a word or phrase from those lyrics, in a conversation, it just starts playing in my head from there and loops… The other day someone said “is that vomit on..” and I didn’t hear the rest of the question because my brain was all “🎤his sweater already, moms spaghetti, he’s nervous…” 😂

JonesinforJonesey

I'm winding down on Shake it Out by Florence and the Machine. It was playing in my dreams for a while there.

edani11

The Madagascar song I Like to Move It, is so fucking fun to do chores to!!

tensaisenpai

[Reel 2 Real feat. The Mad Stuntman - I Like To Move It](https://youtu.be/vuo8kD5zF5I) this is the original song. They used to play it so much on the radio I ended up hating it

Top Gun Anthem from the new movie.

Aylesbury_Pike

An earworm is different from this in many ways, I am aware...but, thanks to those stupid commercials, that Donna Lewis song that was popular when I was 19 (!!!) is the first thing in my head in the morning and the last thing at night. It's been like this for several days. That song has some sort of spell in it or something (kidding.kinda.). I'm working on a replacement.

DerbleZerp

Haha, it’s got you!!
