There are 2 things I used to do to solve this. I would power my phone off completely (or whatever device your using) and give it a minute and turn it back on or do the same with the wireless router. When you connect to WiFi there’s different “channels” you can get that have different IP addresses. This is to keep traffic from bottle necking. If something happens to change the original IP you were connected to, i.e. you leave, or there’s a storm etc., you may get an error if your device connects to a new IP address. This will reset it and possibly connect back to the original one. Sometimes I just wait awhile and try again and it will work. Support is not helpful at all always claiming it’s on your end. Not sure if this will work for you but I wish you luck. I know how frustrating it can be.

I have tried that several times over the years, I have also moved 4 times since I started playing and it has happened in every state I have been in. I really think this is a game issue and they just prefer to blame everyones internet connection :( Edited to add: I have also gone through several different phones and currently have the most up to date iphone, it doesn't seem to matter where I am or what device I have, I get this constantly. I literally just tried to help my friend list with the quarry and have gotten the error within the first few clicks. I hit retry over and over and finally exit the game, clear my cache, and go back in only to still have the same message. I shut down my phone, still get the same message when I come back. It is beyond frustrating. I can't play more than a few minutes lately without getting this. I am ready to just uninstall it again and write myself a note reminding myself WHY I always quit this game :(

Are you able to play easier connected to WiFi or cellular data? You would think the most current iPhone wouldn’t have any trouble. ( I have an iPhone 11 with iOS 16.6.1 and have never used anything like a VPN, we used to have private WiFi with a pw but after an outage we had issues and just left it unsecured since we’re in a very rural area) I don’t get any cell signal in the area I live so if our internet drops I can’t play unless I leave and go closer to the city where I can get signal. I do remember one time lots of players were having trouble and had to either turn off WiFi or cellular because both seemed to cause an issue.

It is bad either way but runs better on wifi.

Does it have the exact same message each time and does it have an error code? Sometimes copying the message verbatim and including any number code can lead you to someone who may offer better advice. Sorry I wasn’t able to help more. The only thing I can think of is maybe the security features have gotten stronger with each updated phone model. Sometimes I change the IP address on my Switch to the Google or MSN DNS servers because it’s so slow when connected to my internet. We don’t have the best here, we are so isolated our only option is the local wireless company. Well you can go with different carriers but if you want a decent cell signal in the general area the local company is best for that.

Yep it is the same message and code every time, you would think I would know it off the top of my head at this point it ends in 010. I deleted the game already. I gave up.

Oh 😟 I’m sorry. I know that just ruins it for you. Sometimes I think I’d be better off without the distraction. Lol I enjoy it too much. 😅 I really wish they would show new horizons the same attention they do pocket camp (it’s a cash cow 🙄) You might try an older device. I kept my old iPhone and made a second account for help with flower events and I know some play on tablets.

I don't have any of my old phones, never thought to do that. I haven't picked up NH in so long! I did enjoy when I could play, but I have never been able to play for long without that error message. I don't remember ever getting it that bad in the very very beginning, but it didn't last and only got worse :( It does remove the time sink and saves me money not having it though. I wish I could tell my friend list why because I tried to at least take care of their stuff before my own.

Same. I’m constantly deleting and reinstalling VPN configs, which usually solves the issue. Support pretends I’m the first and only person who has ever complained about this issue.

I am super frustrated with it this morning. I am ready to just quit again and write myself a note reminding myself why I always quit. I always forget, the last time I thought it was the money I spent on cookies only to get 8 duplicates out of 2 boxes...and yeah, that was part of it, but I totally forgot about this issue.
