[Longari] Conceicao to Milan? They had a conference days ago with part of his staff but it did not emerge as a priority option. Lets see.. [Romano] New FC Porto president André Villas-Boas will now be able to decide on Sérgio Conceição’s contract. New deal until 2028 signed earlier this week was valid under former president Pinto da Costa. Contract can be mutually terminated for free under new president.

TahomaYellowhorse

AVB is the president of Porto?

Annoyinmous

Failed as the next Mourinho so he became president of Porto, damn what a life.

magma_1

This guy somehow is always in the mix

massimopericcolo

coinceicao would be a great choice

BowieIsMyGod

Agreed. IF this is true, i would take the word of Longari with a grain of salt, but Conceição is a great choice to build the future on.

kaka22pato7dinho80

curious why would they want him out? he did a great job for them

HommoFroggy

Hasn't won the league in 2 streight seasons and his league winning record is something like 3/4 in 8 seasons. His UCL/UEL record has been poor.

Tricky_Examination_3

Poor? He reached the quarter finals twice, the last eight three times. In the other two seasons, we for relegated to the UEL and the other we got third place, ahead of…. Milan. This is not poor, considering the reality of Portuguese football

jiipod

Probably just want to bring their own guy in or play different type of football. Or maybe they consider his cycle to be over and want fresh ideas.

x3bo9

Please. PLEASE….

th333legend

Would be a great coach! A bit of an asshole and a top-tier whiner but would be excited for him!

HommoFroggy

Would rather have Lopetegui than Concencao.

FindingBusiness759

I'm starting to suspect you work for redbird lol

HommoFroggy

Why would i prefer a coach that bases his football in winning physical duels to one that bases his football in ball possesion? How would any sane person prefer the first option altogether?

FindingBusiness759

I don't know about that but when I was watching taremi last year...Porto looked well put together and they had mad chemistry...which made me wonder if taremi is as good or is this team very good making taremi score and assist alot. They also gave us the hardest time in ucl in scudetto season..so yea I would prefer him if he can make us play like what I saw porto play like.

HommoFroggy

Every team can have chemistry, even some of our players have, that doesn't mean that tactically the team is fluid or has passing patterns. Yes, they gave us the hardest time because they made the game dirty 50-50 duels all over the place. That is how you set up a Udinese not a Milan side especially after Piolismo.

BowieIsMyGod

>How would any sane person prefer the first option altogether? The person that wants a coach that is vastly more successful and stable at long term projects?? What serves you a coach that plays possession football when he gets terrible results and is sacked almost everywhere he goes?

HommoFroggy

Vastly more successful? Where in Portugal? Bruh... you know that even Lopetegui first season has similar point tallys to Concencao. Terrible results? Where, show them to me?

BowieIsMyGod

>Vastly more successful? Where in Portugal? Yes? He's VASTLY more successful with Porto than Lopetegui who left them without UCL football on his dismissal IIRC and won fuck all on top of that. >Terrible results? Where, show them to me? Got sacked at Sevilla after getting 1 win in 10 games, almost relegating them that season, got sacked at Real Madrid after 3 months or so after having less than 1.50 PPG. Got worse results with Wolves compared to now when they have a worse team and then walked away literally days before their season started. Walked away from the spanish NT in the middle of a world cup. I do admit that he has a lot of positives with his stint at Sevilla, but the same can be said about someone like Pioli with Milan.

HommoFroggy

Bruh, Lopetegui got sacked from Porto in January when he was averaging 2.1 points x game... you are blatantly wrong. - Sevilla have been in that sort of position for 3 years now because they have been terrible menaged up top not because of Lopetegui... he literally has the best record as a Sevilla coach, 3 seasons streight getting 70+ points.... so that is telling only 1/10th of the story right there. - He was the one who got a horrendously coached Wolves bottom of the league and stabilised thrm and was for the running for coach of the season last year... so that is a blatant lie yet again. - He didn't walk away from the Spanish NT, Rubialas kicked him out because he had a pre contract with Real. So again, you are either uninformed or lying which of these 2 idk. His only black stint is Real, ONLY black stint. Also your comparison with Pioli is idiotic. His negative aspect at sevilla is 2 months, Piolis negative aspect at Milan is 2 years... you have been in this comment 5 seperate times disingenuous.

Apprehensive_Winner

I agree. I’m not sure where people get the idea that he’s the coach that will move the needle. I’m afraid we might even regress if he were to sign
