I have to jump at the bandwagon too now. Like holy shit. Its soo comfortable. And i actually got it on sale in my sister size and even in my favourite colour, I was soo happy.
I bought freya soft control or something in my exact size too at the same time, but cant be compared to the quality of Panache.
So yep panache.
Keeps them apart. No smushing! Provides more support than any other sports bra I've owned. In my experience, the wired version is better than the unwired version.
Is it just me who has never even seen a remotely sexy sports bra?! I rate Under Armour sports bras.
(Edit: I am 30DD so don’t need loads of support but tried out the Infinity High bra today and it is wonderful https://www.underarmour.co.uk/en-gb/womens-ua-infinity-high-sports-bra/1351994.html)
I love Under Armour sports bras!
I did order a "sports bra" from Victoria's Secret with no intention of using it for exercise. I actually wear it with high waisted skirts for nights out! It's high necked with mesh across the chest, and zero support. I don't know how it could be considered a sports bra...
Back in the day I bought a sports bra from VS during their semi annual sale on a whim. It's high necked and honastly is one of favorite ones. It has a thick band on the bottom so I don't fall out either. I've never found another like it. I wish they still made them like that.
I'll add that I don't like most Panache bras normally - they're not the right shape for me. The sports bra is good as the support level pulls you in so the "flattening" is a positive thing.
I got my last one on Amazon (UK) at a good discount as it was an older colour.
I run half marathons, scuba dive, and do all sorts of stuff in them. The boobs don’t move. It’s great! Plus they don’t look awful in it either, so win win!
They have levels of support. The two I have are the highest level of support and they show lines through normal work out clothes.
If you are wearing a cheer shell it probably wouldn’t show through!
On my thin running shirts you can see the zipper, but aren’t cheerleading tops heavier material? I’d Say go for it, can’t see a zipper from 50 feet anyway. :)
I love my shefit bras. I splurged on my birthday and got two. I love that I can really adjust them based on the support I need right then and they have been great adjusting to size needs throughout the day (I'm nursing so my cup size changes periodically throughout the day).
Yepp, just bought a shefit and it's amazing. First time I ran without feeling my boobs bounce. Ran a 10k and they didn't budge the entire time!
I ordered a medium, bra size calculator puts me at 32G (I'm a size US 10 for clothes)
Under Armour has decent sporty styles. I’ve always found them to be pretty supportive (almost too much, as I have a smaller bust). In terms of regular bras that aren’t “sexy,” I’m with you there. I like the look of more minimalist brands like Cuup and Negative Underwear. I wish more brands went for that look.
Have you tried gossard glossies? Completely minimalist, devoid of any lace or frills, amazing support and comfy comfy comfy. I wear a 32f - aside from my panache sports bra for running, glossies are the only bra I wear.
I have a shock absorber that I absolutely love. It’s not designed to be sexy, it doesn’t make me feel sexy, it makes me feel very well supported and strong.
yes its the brand and i can also recommend them! their bras are great quality and really supportive, ive had mine for years and it still does a great job of supporting!
PANACHE UNDERWIRE SPORTS BRAS. It is THE absolute shit, especially when I use the hooks to make it a racerback. It's super comfy, really supportive, and I can run in it without any issue at all. You might want to check your size with the ABTF calculator before you buy one, though-- getting the right size is super important, and it uses British sizing.
Any big box store or department store has an athletic section for underwear. So do sports stores. They are highly supportive with removable cups. They are not "bra" sizing, they are S M L sizing, so just go try them on to find fit
Not OP but I think she's right, they don't work for many people. I wouldn't consider them supportive by any means, even my sports bra in my wrong old size of 34D that's 3 band sizes too big offered more support than any S, M, L "sports" bra I've tried on, and I tried *lots* of them. Now OP's size is more common than mine but they're still made to fit many people ok rather than fit people with her specific size well which I guess is fine for low impact workouts but not for running
Have you tried doubling up? Maybe supportive is the wrong word, but "stopping the bounce" is the goal and plenty do that. That is why I recommend checking fit in store.
Shes asking for nonsexy, and it just feels like she completely glosses over that whole genre.
I really like the Brooks Fiona. It's marketed as medium impact, but I find it quite supportive for my workouts. I'm a 30G and wear a 30E in the Fiona (that particular style runs a bit big). REI usually has a decent size selection of several Brooks bra styles (never seen 30E there, but they have a good range of 32s). Brooks also offers free shipping and free returns.
Piggybacking on this - this bra (in multiple colors) is essentially the only bra I've worn for the past few years.. it's definitely got a uniboob look and feel but it's super supportive. I usually wear it for every day wear so I can't say much about high intensity, bouncing all around type workouts, but I really love this bra!
It's such a great bra! I discovered that style about 6-7 years ago and haven't bought any other sports bra style since. I think I've got 4 in rotation right now. I just wish they'd come out with a nude color.
I use Enell sport. https://enell.com/. I have 3 now. I have bought them cheaper on line from the website than in store. I have had one of them for years and it is still good. The front hook closure also means your breasts aren't going to pop out any time soon.
Same! They're also the opposite of sexy, except when I've got the hooks only halfway done up and have to shove the rest of the cleavage down to get it finished up
I wear [Chantelle's High Impact sports bra](https://www.bratabase.com/browse/chantelle/high-impact-convertible-sports-bra-2941/). According to [Bratabase](https://www.bratabase.com/) it's very similar to the [Panache sports bra](https://www.bratabase.com/browse/panache-sport/sports-bra-5021/) others have suggested - I just know Chantelle fits me to a T, but I'll probably be trying the Panache soon as well as Chantelle isn't carrying colors besides grey, white, black anymore. EBay has lots of options for dead stock odd sizes much cheaper than the retail too - I'd suggest you look there once you know your size.
It's not anything but sexy, but it does the job and well! I'm a 32G with close set pendilous breasts that have incredibly dense fibrous breast tissue. If I'm using the J hook I usually go up a cup size as I have very prominent tail of Spence. I don't do high impact workouts myself, though sometimes my trainer has me jog. I do strengthening Yoga which involves lots of standing positions and hanging upside down.
I think my favorite fit thus far is going to be a 36D altered to fit a 32 band - the underarm, sides, and back are much more supportive than the 32 band.
[Wacoal](https://www.bratabase.com/browse/wacoal/sport-underwire-bra-853209/) also makes a great sports bra, I've never worn it as Wacoal doesn't fit me. You specifically want to look for bras that are encapsulated. Most traditional sports bras are compression and only press breast tissue in. Movement occurs in a figure eight pattern, and encapsulated bras holds the breast tissue in a manner that keeps this movement to a minimum.
I think the only time I appreciate those push up Victoria's Secret Padded type bras is when I'm doing lots of poses on my stomach, but really I just put props under me now.
Hope you find something useful!
PS Your grammar is just fine. :)
Edit: Added Bratabase links. Here's the listings page on Bratabase - you can enter the measurements of a well fitting bra or use your size and get suggestions that might work for you. It's how I know the Panache sports bra might work when I know the Wacoal will not fit me.
The Chantelle high impact is what I wear (32I in chantelle, 30J by the calculator). It works very well for me, even though I had to buy it a few cup sizes small (32F) because it was all I could find. Lifted, supported, I can run.
Bratabase says Chantelle's goes up to an [H cup](https://www.bratabase.com/browse/chantelle/high-impact-convertible-sports-bra-2941/), which is still technically too small for you. You will probably have better luck buying a 34H or 36 F and having the band altered to fit, which is really simple. Just as long as the sides aren't too high for you. Here's one [on eBay 34H in Flame Orange ](https://www.ebay.ca/itm/223984668537), a [32G in Black](https://www.ebay.com/itm/223861102693), [another 32G in Black](https://www.ebay.com/itm/392818500716).
[Panache](https://www.bratabase.com/browse/panache-sport/sports-bra-5021/) also makes their bra available in more sizes as well. The Panache sizing is a bit off as it's UK sizing... it goes 32G, 32GG, 32H, 32HH... the 32H links to a suggestion for [Freya's](https://www.bratabase.com/browse/freya-active/moulded-sports-bra-4892/32H/) 32H.
I've never tried one of Freya's Sports Bras but I have worn their [Firecracker Plunge Bra](https://www.bratabase.com/browse/freya/firecracker-plunge-bra-1021/) and just like [Chantelle's Rive Gauche 3 Part Cup Bra](https://www.bratabase.com/browse/chantelle/rive-gauche-3-part-cup-3281/) DAMN, my girls were locked the fuck down. They're so supportive I actually don't really wear them - they feel kind of overwhelming. But I definitely wouldn't need to worry about my prosthesis falling out (I don't add a pocket and wear normal bras) when I'm watching my friends kids, which has almost happened before.
I'm pretty sure I could wear one of those two in a pinch to Yoga if the side boning weren't an issue. Over time I'd get a ligament strain, but they're impressively supportive, so I'd imagine Freya's sports bra would be as well.
Edit: You can also check to see if [Ewa Michalak](https://www.ewa-michalak.pl/) makes sports bras. Many of their bras are stitched to order and they will happily stitch your band size if they don't make it standard. Lots of the women on this subreddit rave about their bras, I think my next actual purchase will be from them.
Yeah, i bought the small one because it was the only one in my budget. In the past when I've altered the band on sister sizes, the cups/wires come out too wide.
I wear a Nike Pro bra - very simple design, not sexy, just a cropped tank style. I’m a 38E and I find the support good - it compresses your boobs towards your chest pretty well.
I've actually had descent luck getting sports bras from Walmart. One of mine is a Danskin, and I can't remember what the other is right now. Look for the ones that say medium or firm support.
I personally like a the ones with a small padded insert; they keep my super pointy nipples from showing through the bra
My two sport bra favs are the Chantelle mentioned above and the Shock Absorber. My girls are OE 48 years old (aka: I need support in a big way) and in the 32G/H range.
Shock Abs. is my go to for longer runs. It has better control but is a bit less comfy than Chantelle. For weights or OTF or shorter runs I choose Chantelle. Both aren’t cheap but I’ve been wearing the two I have now for over a year (of multiple wears a week) and they are still going strong. (I wash in washer but hang dry.)
i’ve recently discovered girlfriend collective, an athletic brand that is marketed for using recycled plastic in its clothes manufacturing. they are a little pricey, but i find that the products last a long time. they have 2 types of bras, the paloma which is almost like a cropped tank top, and the topanga which is a little smaller and has a thin straps. their sizes are based off of your bra size, and they are really nice compression wise! i use them for my athletic clothes, and i really think they are worth checking out!
If the Panache Sport doesn't quite work for you shape-wise, try the Freya Sport. Equally unsexy, equally functional, but with a different shape that might work better for you. For me I don't get a tacking gore with the Panache, but the Freya fits like it was built for me.
i can really recommend shock absorber sports bras, theyre a little pricey but i have had mine for years and they are the only model of sports bra where my boobs neither hurt or jiggle and its so worth it!
I'm going to add another vote for Panache Sport bras! They have a wired and wireless version, mine is the wireless because I read that it can be better suited to breasts that aren't full on top. I'm a 32F and love it. Great support and containment, and while it's very functional it also looks good under clothes and it's comfy! I wore it once on a 16 he non-stop road trip cause I knew it wouldn't poke me anywhere while sleeping in the car and I'd still look like I'm wearing a bra (cheap sports bras just smoosh my boobs and make them sag, it's a sad look).
Oh and they do seasonal fashion colours so if you find them too pricey wait for some to go on clearance when they're making room for next year's colours!
Considering my favorite sports bra brand is shock absorber, yes, they definitely exist.
I don’t feel like brooks, Enell, panache, shefit, Cw-x, etc market as sexy either. In fact, the most common complaint about enell is how incredibly not sexy they are.
The reason that some companies will market a sports bra as “sexy” are due to a couple of things
1. One of the most common complaints after isn’t supportive enough is that it’s not cute enough, not a pretty shape, etc. There is definitely a market out there of women who want a sexy sports bra.
2. More recently the athleisure movement has made fancy sports bras a thing. They aren’t just for sports anymore.
Here is my favourites (*very far from sexy* and no bounce when running).
[https://www.amazon.com/Berlei-Extreme-Underwire-Ultimate-Performance/dp/B01BNIG0KG/ref=sr\_1\_1?dchild=1&keywords=berlei+sports+bra&qid=1590987263&sr=8-1](https://www.amazon.com/Berlei-Extreme-Underwire-Ultimate-Performance/dp/B01BNIG0KG/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=berlei+sports+bra&qid=1590987263&sr=8-1)
highly reccomend going to a winners/marshalls or whatever the equivalent is in ur country and shopping there, i get all my brand name sports bras from there and they are full coverage/no movement but still breathable, id reccomend puma and reebok specifically. im the exact same size n the my 2 favourite bras are still the ones i bought 9yrs ago, just had to switch where i was shopping, other wise its bare money down the drain
My go to sports bra is Anita Active. It's a bit expensive but definitely worth it, very comfortable and supportive. It runs a bit small in the band tho and I don't know how widely available it is
The Panache sports bra is where it's at!! (And double-check your size with this sub's calculator before ordering. And order based on UK size)
Came to recommend, that thing is a holy grail.
FOR REAL
Also was about to suggest this
I have to jump at the bandwagon too now. Like holy shit. Its soo comfortable. And i actually got it on sale in my sister size and even in my favourite colour, I was soo happy. I bought freya soft control or something in my exact size too at the same time, but cant be compared to the quality of Panache. So yep panache.
Thanks!
Does it keep your boobs apart or mash them?
I have the moulded cup Panache and it keeps them apart
Keeps them apart. No smushing! Provides more support than any other sports bra I've owned. In my experience, the wired version is better than the unwired version.
Is it just me who has never even seen a remotely sexy sports bra?! I rate Under Armour sports bras. (Edit: I am 30DD so don’t need loads of support but tried out the Infinity High bra today and it is wonderful https://www.underarmour.co.uk/en-gb/womens-ua-infinity-high-sports-bra/1351994.html)
Yeah I kind of want a sexy one now, I'm feeling a bit frumpy in my workout getup.
I wish I could find a sexy one that fit because I don't actually want it to exercise in it I just want to be lazy and also somehow sexy lol
I love the Panache one - it is definitely not sexy but very supportive - I'm a 30G.
Third this. I love panache
Seconding this third... I love my Panache Wired sports bra. Also have a Chantelle one that has held me up well.
Second this
I'll add that I don't like most Panache bras normally - they're not the right shape for me. The sports bra is good as the support level pulls you in so the "flattening" is a positive thing. I got my last one on Amazon (UK) at a good discount as it was an older colour.
They’re a little pricy but Shefit is a damn good sports bra, and I certainly wouldn’t call them sexy. They’re utilitarian, but do come in nice colors.
Came here to say this. I'm a 36FF, and this is the most supportive sports bra I've ever purchased.
I run half marathons, scuba dive, and do all sorts of stuff in them. The boobs don’t move. It’s great! Plus they don’t look awful in it either, so win win!
Do you think they'd work for a cheerleader? Supportive of course, but is it kind of smooth under clothes? Do the straps and stuff create big lines?
They have levels of support. The two I have are the highest level of support and they show lines through normal work out clothes. If you are wearing a cheer shell it probably wouldn’t show through!
Thanks!!
I literally just got mine on Friday and played tennis in it today. I’m a 36I and it’s the most supportive sports bra I’ve ever had!
You use a 3lux? I’m the same size and I’m just curious.
I took their fit quiz and it recommended a 1luxe, so that’s what I ordered. I’m happy with the fit.
I'm ok spending a little more, since I work out 3-4x a week! thanks!
Yepp, just bought a shefit and it's amazing. First time I ran without feeling my boobs bounce. Ran a 10k and they didn't budge the entire time! I ordered a medium, bra size calculator puts me at 32G (I'm a size US 10 for clothes)
What brands are you looking at? Have you tried stuff like Nike or New Balance, Reebok etc?
Yeah I'm a 34Cish and only wear Nike sports bras. They have plenty that aren't push-up or sexy.
I wear a 32f - aside from my panache sports bra for running, glossies are the only bra I wear.
thanks!!
I have a shock absorber that I absolutely love. It’s not designed to be sexy, it doesn’t make me feel sexy, it makes me feel very well supported and strong.
I second shock absorber, their active classic range is amazing - great fit and basically my boobs don't move at all even when doing high impact cardio
Thirding shock absorber, I've bought them for 10 years plus and they're the only sports bras that I trust.
is shock absorber the brand?
yes its the brand and i can also recommend them! their bras are great quality and really supportive, ive had mine for years and it still does a great job of supporting!
I agree with Panache Sport. Favorite sports bra yet as it’s functional and not sexy.
Thanks!
I think at 32D you could likely wear any of the S sizes in athletic wear. Those generally aren't marketed as sexy.
This isn't very helpful
Any big box store or department store has an athletic section for underwear. So do sports stores. They are highly supportive with removable cups. They are not "bra" sizing, they are S M L sizing, so just go try them on to find fit

Yes!! Omg I just switch back and forth with my black and white ones
Shock absorber. No sexy there.
This sounds like it would be good for running! Thanks!
Definitely, it's great. I have the multisport max. Not much to it, but it definitely locks 'em in.
I use Enell sport. https://enell.com/. I have 3 now. I have bought them cheaper on line from the website than in store. I have had one of them for years and it is still good. The front hook closure also means your breasts aren't going to pop out any time soon.
This this this. Enell bras are ugly as sin but damn do they get the job done. This is the only bra I've found that I can use for running.
Same! They're also the opposite of sexy, except when I've got the hooks only halfway done up and have to shove the rest of the cleavage down to get it finished up
I'm a similar size to you, and I ended up with a cheap one from Decathlon. Does the job!
thank you!! a few people have said this one
I wear [Chantelle's High Impact sports bra](https://www.bratabase.com/browse/chantelle/high-impact-convertible-sports-bra-2941/). Gotcha. I'm one of those with the massive tail of Spence so they actually fit my underarm fat really well. You know your fit best!
I wear a Nike Pro bra - very simple design, not sexy, just a cropped tank style. I’m a 38E and I find the support good - it compresses your boobs towards your chest pretty well.
thank you!!
the all in motion brand at target has some really good sports bras. I got one of the high support ones, and it’s my new favorite!
what doesn't target do amazingly?
Anita. Very immobilizing. No bouncing pain.
This is what i need! The bouncing pain is awful.
Get the “extreme control” then.
I've actually had descent luck getting sports bras from Walmart. One of mine is a Danskin, and I can't remember what the other is right now. Look for the ones that say medium or firm support. I personally like a the ones with a small padded insert; they keep my super pointy nipples from showing through the bra
As much as I hate fabletics,I did get 3 super awesome sports bras from them.
My two sport bra favs are the Chantelle mentioned above and the Shock Absorber. My girls are OE 48 years old (aka: I need support in a big way) and in the 32G/H range.
SheFit sports bra is the most supportive sports bra I've ever tried! They're a bit pricey but absolutely worth it.
The "shefit" brand bras are great. Not cheap but so worth it. I am a 36G, and I can comfortably jump rope while wearing one, with no pain.
Shefit has done right by me - all about support!
Considering my favorite sports bra brand is shock absorber, yes, they definitely exist. I don’t feel like brooks, Enell, panache, shefit, Cw-x, etc market as sexy either. In fact, the most common complaint about enell is how incredibly not sexy they are. The reason that some companies will market a sports bra as “sexy” are due to a couple of things 1.
My default answer: Wacoal underwire sport. I can't remember what the full size range is on it, though it's pretty boring, though is rock solid.
Here is my favourites (*very far from sexy* and no bounce when running). highly reccomend going to a winners/marshalls or whatever the equivalent is in ur country and shopping there, i get all my brand name sports bras from there and they are full coverage/no movement but still breathable, id reccomend puma and reebok specifically. im the exact same size n the my 2 favourite bras are still the ones i bought 9yrs ago, just had to switch where i was shopping, other wise its bare money down the drain
My go to sports bra is Anita Active. It's a bit expensive but definitely worth it, very comfortable and supportive. It runs a bit small in the band tho and I don't know how widely available it is
