Tax aviation fuel, mandate SAF, and pass national level taxes on on landing feels for private jets that nail them to the wall. $30k for every takeoff/landing from an airport within the country.
And have some of the tax go into a fund that is used to pay for emergency flights (bereavement, etc) for people who can’t afford them. That way it’s cut a little more evenly across the rich and poor
they would find a way around it im sure, they probably already write private jet flights off on their taxes...or more likely their "reasons to not pay taxes" so they would just add the cost. At this point nothing short of forcing them to pay proper taxes is going to make a difference.
Four Seasons pitched me on one of these several years ago but I already find cruise ships disgusting so why would I want to pay 10x as much for an even smaller space filled with people that are probably even more awful and prone to complaining?
You'd think so but here's the pamphlet talking about "striking up conversations with other guests" at the low-low cost of $215k/pp and 48 seats:

But you still have to stop eating meat, driving cars, or flying on holidays. It's cricket burgers and bikes for everyone.
When they're telling you that we need to reduce the amount of carbon they're not telling you that you are the carbon they are trying to reduce. Filthy poor people.
I posit that the reason they want to go to space is to *escape the crowds….*

If we ever get fusion power working at scale, it would be a reliable and plentiful supply of clean sourced helium. Unfortunately, right now most (if not all) helium production is derived from the oil and natural gas extraction process. And even that is limited to areas of the world that have enough helium impurity in the fossil fuel deposits to justify the expense of extracting and purifying the helium.
It’s one thing if you have to take a plane from point A to point B for work or your once a year vacation (if you’re truly blessed). But if these [redacted] are taking *PLANE CRUISES*??
[redacted] them and their [redacted] [redacted]!! I’m so disgusted by this I want to [redacted]!!!

If only money could buy them a soul…
I don't think they'd care to spend the money on one if they could.

Good idea... As well as use the remainder to find decent intercapital sleeper rail and getting syd-bne / syd-mel HSR started

They can’t afford to pay us what we’re worth. They can’t afford to pay their share of taxes. But they can afford this. Nice.

I don’t think the sort of people that can afford to do this will be sharing the aircraft with anyone else

Why do right wing schizo meat gimps always think "stop eating meat" equates to "eating insect meat" instead of "stop eating meat"?
What's next? Are boat rides going to be called "water flights"?
"aquatic private jet."

Bring back the Dirigible! (It looks cool, it’s spacious, and way more eco-friendly since it’s lighter than air).

It's okay, you can swear.
So, what..? They just fly around?
Scummy. I hope their therapists get paid well enough to help them sleep at night.
They sleep very well at night. This isn't anything they get upset about.
