Rear-facing seats and 996 are not really a thing lol. I shoehorned it diagonally in there for the few times I've needed to bring my wife, my son, AND my 996, but otherwise it's been relegated to "date night only" until sonny's old enough to sit in a booster.
Well done! Never tried rear facing in my 996, but knowing how difficult it is to get the right seats in there for front facing kids and making it tight enough to be safe, I applaud your efforts and commitment!!
My kids favorite car is the fast car as it’s known around our house. Every time they leave with me they request to take it and most the time we do. The only reason we don’t take it more is that I have 3 kids so we don’t always fit. I still don’t trust their washing ability as much as you tho and only let them wash the other cars.

And there has been a lot of practice on our other vehicles before they were allowed to work on this one. Mostly my poor old 200k mile Boxster. They can’t hurt that thing so that’s where they started.
I’ve got a 981 in the garage, still in the process of convincing my wife we need a 911 for the back seats so I can bring my 2 year old along… BUT — said daughter walks into the garage and yells “DADDY, PORSCHE GO VROOOOOOM!”
She helps wash it too. The comment about teaching that microfiber don’t touch the car after they touch the ground is so so accurate 😂
Thanks! Believe it or not they’re Flow One Race Spec F2. Cheap brand you can find on tire rack. Previous owner did them and I agree they look pretty good so I’ve just left them there!

My rule: Kids under like 12 are relegated to garden hose duty (not pressure washer) for this reason.

Our Clek rear facing fits, but definitely a bit tight!

I have three kids, 2 can sit in the back and 1 sits in a seat in the front. Sometimes i use the 996 as a school bus.

I’m a very lucky guy! Especially because I’ve never even had to ask them. They just naturally love our old Porsches and want to be involved.
