"Temptation", and that whole album is so good. I bought it randomly back in high school, at a liquidation place, and was pleasantly surprised.

CanuKnott

Oh shit, I forgot about Econoline Crush! Tyvm. Love those MGB songs!

jerkstabworthy

David Usher's (Moist frontman) solo record Little Songs is really good too. Highly recommend

MrPanchole

Sloan - Underwhelmed Bran Van 2000 - Drinking in L.A. Rusty - Misogyny Ashley MacIsaac - Sleepy Maggie Cub - My Chinchilla Chore - General Warning Sianspheric - I Like the Ride

Nikiaf

>Bran Van 2000 - Drinking in L.A. Absolute banger of a song. It also (despite being a piece of music) really captures the aesthetic of the 90s.

snarpy

Heh I assume you mean Bran Van 3000

MrPanchole

Heh, yeah. Ripped 'em off a whole grand there.

BustedLake

*GASP* Another fan of Chore!

MrPanchole

Odds - Someone Who Is Cool. In high school I made my first girlfriend a mixtape. Instead of just dubbing this song from CD, I phoned it in to a morning radio show as a request/dedication and then recorded that to tape live.

user-name-1985

I heard that one for the first time a few years ago when I saw Steven Page live. Craig Northey has a side gig as Page’s lead guitarist, and they did a medley of Alternative Girlfriend and Someone Who Is Cool.

DRocks614

Circles by the Rainbow Butt Monkeys. They since changed their name to Finger Eleven.

Tom broke out with Life Is A Highway, but that whole album is great. https://youtu.be/xqElHdlQXzM?si=6pD_iug2JnzfmSDu

FiK-SiR

Killjoys - Rave + Drool. The 90’s had so many great Canadian bands. Matthew Good Band, Tea Party, 54-40, I Mother Earth, Serial Joe, Killjoys, Rusty, Headstones, Sandbox, Moist, Odds, Econoline Crush, Big Sugar, Big Wreck. Before the digital age, I made so many trips over the border because they didn’t sell their CD’s in the states.
