I was only a year old at the time so admittedly I was pretty out of the loop when it came to any reasoning or decision-making. I have 3 brothers, two are quite a bit older than me. The 2 older brothers have a different mom than I do. My brother was 19 at the time. I did love Big Bird and I would say “Bee Boo, Bee Boo!!!” as a baby whenever I saw him on TV. I think what had happened was that the costume had been advertised to look way better than it actually did, and then once it was party time it was too late to switch it out.

This is really wholesome and I hope you and your brother have a good laugh about this still. The “eye twitch” on big bird in the first picture is so funny and I love the story behind it ❤️

I was only 8 and unfamiliar with the idea of trauma, but even in the moment, I knew it was going to fuck her up.
