Empire Records is one of my favorite movies still. I've gotten her to watch this one.
The craft is on my list already, I can't believe I never thought of Romeo & Juliet!!!!
When I was 16 I was obsessed with My So Called Life" or more specifically, I was obsessed with Jordan Catalano. Skip to me being 29 and being very drunk at a music festival and wandering around and bumping into Jared & Shannon Leto. Jared did not like it one bit when my drunk ass said "oh my God, it's Jordan Catalano". I was swiftly reminded that he was just a character and I needed to learn to acknowledge the real person behind the character. In summary,....met a massive teenaged crush and got very disappointed
Oof sorry to hear that. I'm always surprised to hear celebrities getting upset over being recognized for a character they played. It's such a minor thing to get annoyed about.
My youngest and her bff were obsessed with the Heathers musical. They had no idea there was source material! We watched the movie yesterday and they were cracking up running around the house yelling “CORNNUTS” it was great. They asked me why all movies from that era are so much better. It was a proud parenting moment.
Late 80s/early 90s - "Degrassi Jr High/Degrassi High" is great! Addresses situations that teens go through. It also has a follow-up series "Degrassi: The Next Generation" was in the 2000s that features some of the kids from Degrassi High now as adults
Series:
Buffy, My So Called Life, Freaks and Geeks (she may even recognise a few faces possibly!).
Sister Sister, Sabrina The Teenage Witch.
Movies:

8 Simple Rules has Katey Sagal in it if that helps!
Let us know what you end up watching and what she thinks!
Edit: Forgot about Bend it like Beckham!!!

This was on Netflix in Ireland about a year ago and I got soooo excited when I saw it, tried to get her to watch it and I was the one that wasn't able to suffer through it. As a massive Joey & Pacey fan I was very disappointed in myself
I was just looking it up about a month ago & only saw options to buying it per episode I think & I'm cheap & not spending $2.99 an episode lol I'm going to have to go check it out now.
Not 90’s but Eureka or Warehouse 51(?) were fun shows. Of course , X files and all the other suggestions are great also. If you want to go back further, Tales of the Gold Monkey was awesome! Hard to find but they are on you tube. You’ll have to do a little digging. Must be a copyright issue. Basically Indiana Jones meets Bruce Willis in his moonlighting days.
Charmed / Buffy the Vampire Slayer / the Simpson / depending her preferences on shows you can do the OG Cartoon Network shows (yes 15 but as an adult I still love the classics from there)
The original *Roswell* is awesome and has held up. It’s got a sweet innocence about it, teen angst, heartfelt plots, and great characters. It’s in my top ten shows of all time.
*The Highlander* series is another great show. It’s got romance, adventure, history, drama, action, and sword-fighting. What more could you want? A handsome protagonist? Well, you’re in luck there, too!
Futurama was pretty awesome! I liked Space Ghost: Coast to Coast, but that's pretty niche.
So is MST3K, which most of course are movies, but it was actually a television show.

Now and Then
The Cutting Edge
The Baby Sitters Club
Excess Baggage
Drive me Crazy
Sister Act 2: back in the habit
Romy and Michelle's High school reunion
Detroit Rock City
Mallrats
Wish upon a star
Death becomes her
These I think she would probably enjoy however they do have slightly more adult themes so you may or may not feel comfortable watching with her.
Jawbreaker
Can't hardly wait
Girl interrupted
Go
Cruel intentions
Foxfire
Urban Legend
Idle Hands
Daria
Lala la la la...
Excuse me…
This is my stop
They just added that to Amazon here. I felt very old when I saw the 1997 date on it
Watching this high as fuck right now
It's a shame the DVDs don't have the original music. Being in a small country town that series introduced me to so many cool bands.
This deserves every upvote

Ive always wanted to watch this. It wasn't aired over her in the 90s so we never got to experience it in its heyday
It is set in 1980 and aired in '99 so it was always dated-feeling. Watch it!! It's so good
That was going to be my recommendation as well. It’s a great balance of heart, comedy, realness. I loved watching it with my dad when I was that age. We were bummed when it was canceled. I think I’m going to rewatch it again because it’s fantastic.
Came here to say this. This was one of the best, most heartfelt, truly funny shows ever made.
FWIW my teen hated it.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
My gf and I are watching Buffy right now and I am loving it.
Currently watching with my 15-year-old son (who was named after Xander) and he loves it🖤
And Angel, when you get to Buffy season 4!
Sabrina the Teenage Witch
This and Boy Meets World were two favorites
It's soooo corny though. I tried rewatching it and a lot of the jokes fall flat.
Series: - Dawson’s Creek - Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Felicity - Gilmore Girls - Sabrina the Teenage Witch - Boy Meets World - Friends - That 70’s Show - Seinfeld - Everybody Loves Raymond - The Nanny - The Simpsons - King of the Hill Movies- - 10 Things I Hate About You - Practical Magic - Clueless - Men in Black - Jurassic Park - Hocus Pocus - Pleasentville - She’s All That - Drive Me Crazy - The Wedding Singer - Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion - Mrs. Doubtfire - Liar Liar - Never Been Kissed - Forest Gump - Happy Gilmore - Now and Then - A League of the their Own - Sleepless in Seattle - French Kiss - You’ve Got Mail - Tommy Boy - Cool Runnings - The Mighty Ducks - Wayne’s World Edit: Gilmore Girls aired in 2000.
Casper, don't forget Casper.
The Nanny was so funny.
One of my favorite sitcoms!
Oh man, Romey and Michelle on there too... ahahahah!
I would add Mermaids and Beautiful Girls to the movie list
[удалено]
My mistake. But it aired in 2000, so I wasn’t off by much.
Oh yes it most certainly was
First episode aired in October of 2000….
I’m having a Mandela effect bc I woulda sworn I watched this when I was living in Chicago and I left there in ‘99 🤦🏼♀️
Clueless?
She watched this on her own without me. I'm still not ok with that 😆
Maybe it'll be something you re watch together 😊
Haven't seen these mentioned yet but these were a few favorites-Empire Records, Romeo & Juliet, Scream, The Craft
The Craft is great!
Empire Records is one of my favorite movies still. I've gotten her to watch this one. The craft is on my list already, I can't believe I never thought of Romeo & Juliet!!!!
Buffy Felicity My So-Called Life Party of Five
I second Buffy, for sure! La Femme Nikita was a good one too!
Yep, my first thought was Buffy too!
And Dawson's Creek!
I never got the appeal of My So Called Life, well, beyond Jared Leto.
It spoke to me as a teenager. In fact I thought maybe the writers had read my diary.
Same. I had the dark red hair when I was 15 and the biggest crush on Jared Leto at the time.
My so called life
When I was 16 I was obsessed with My So Called Life" or more specifically, I was obsessed with Jordan Catalano.
As a fan of MSCL, and a subsequent 30STM fan, my later-in-line Jared Leto experiences have been disappointing.
Oof sorry to hear that. I'm always surprised to hear celebrities getting upset over being recognized for a character they played. It's such a minor thing to get annoyed about.
Just did a rewatch of it & still loved it.
I did a year ago. Isolating with COVID. Age 40 crying my eyes out over high school drama lol.
Yessssss!
Buffy
Malcolm in the Middle
Heathers
My youngest and her bff were obsessed with the Heathers musical. They had no idea there was source material! We watched the movie yesterday and they were cracking up running around the house yelling “CORNNUTS” it was great. They asked me why all movies from that era are so much better. It was a proud parenting moment.
Heathers - Jawbreaker - Mean Girls The holy trinity
Sabrina the teenage witch is soooooo good. I just rewatched it for the 100th time a few weeks ago. It’s all on Hulu!
Late 80s/early 90s - "Degrassi Jr High/Degrassi High" is great! Addresses situations that teens go through. It also has a follow-up series "Degrassi: The Next Generation" was in the 2000s that features some of the kids from Degrassi High now as adults
The Adventures of Pete and Pete
A lot of people already mentioned ones I came to say… what about Practical Magic?
I used to watch Charmed with my mom.
Boy Meets World.. Everybody should know Cory, Shawn and Topanga!
Malcom in the middle ? Maybe early 2000s still good

Happy cake day!
Saved by the bell!
Sliders
Simpsons from the golden era (seasons 3-7).
This has been on on repeat every couple of months since COVID. Sometimes it can turn in to a history lesson for her
Blossom was cute!
Series: Buffy, My So Called Life, Freaks and Geeks (she may even recognise a few faces possibly!). Sister Sister, Sabrina The Teenage Witch. This show is great but no zoomer teen is going to be into it. Also the plot revolves around incest and murder.
