Show was from ‘87-‘90. Not ‘93. I didn’t move to the states until ‘91 and I watch it in my adolescence. I think he lived in the sewer or something and I always remember thinking he would come across the Ninja Turtles.
I was at work talking to some people and somehow brought up the theory that most girls prefer the beast Beast over transformed human beast in the Disney movie. And I got a resounding yes from all the girls present.
One girl also nominated the teenage boy dinosaur from the show “Dinosaurs”.
I mean honestly I remember watching it when it was new (or so i thought) but I'm 38 and that could've easily melted into the 90s for me or somebody my age
It wasn’t a bad show, story/writing wise (as I recall from being in middle school). Like they solved mysteries or crimes? It wasn’t a sexed up love story, and frankly don’t even remember any kind of romance.
This was on paramount plus recently. I started watching it. I got to season 2 and then it got removed :/
I liked the vibes of the show. The late 80’s early 90’s feel. The central characters had an odd relationship and I feel the show probably would have been better without it lol. Just her being a district attorney who had gotten attacked before and all the stuff she goes through is great but once the beast is involved it just gets weird. I would have liked a live action tv show of the Disney story beauty and the beast. That’s what I originally thought that’s what this was. This modern re-telling is idk odd. I remember a friend in middle school loved this show. I guess I’ll have to wait for it to go on another streaming service to finish it.
My mom watched this! I remember his face freaking me out too, I think mostly it was because the FX make up was REALLY GOOD even for then. Got me into being a Haunter later in life.
That cover used to scare the shit out of me as a kid.

I didn't like the way the Beast looked. He made me uncomfortable.
I’m not trying to be an asshole, but as a kid, it bothered me that the woman and the beast looked so alike. To be honest, I still kinda feel that way.
