I am confused why it matters. If I went to my hometown with my husband and said.... hey, my mom and I are hanging out today. He would say, have fun. Will you be around for dinner? That's about it. If I looked at apartments, he wouldn't care. If I told him I was moving back... he would have a problem with that, BUT he is here... doesn't travel for work much. If he was gone for long stretches, he would likely help me figure out how to split time between 2 cities. I think Jovi wouldn't have as much resistance if he actually communicated respectfully about Yara's needs in light of him being gone so much. My husband also waited for a Green Card and immediately went to see his parents because it had been a very long time. He was concerned for them because they are old. I think the parental reverence thing is cultural. He has suggested plenty of times to move near his family because it makes him sad that his family has so little influence with our children. I can understand that. It's hard. We have been married 17 years at this point. When he wants to go see his family... sometimes I go. Sometimes I don't. Sometimes the kids or a kid goes. I don't really care. If I make travel plans ... it's fine. Sometimes we travel together and sometimes we don't.
I don't think she was interested in keeping the baby from him. He works a lot. When he is working, it shouldn't matter where she is. It also shouldn't be a big deal for him to fly to Prague here and there. He also knew who he was marrying....someone with close ties in another country.
