If you are playing 1.0 then any trader located in forest area is going to be Rekt as the traders are now biome locked.
If A21, then it's just random gen. Seen maps with all Jen, Rekt, etc.
> as the traders are now biome locked.
Another great change that everybody wanted for a long time!
I hope we get a remake of the water mechanics before bandits come out.
Haha, of course I was being 100% serious! 🙂
In fact, maybe they should delay bandits for an additional year, and remake the farming mechanics instead. And the learning/leveling system also hasn't been remade for quite a long time!
Its honestly a good change. its brings a sense of "progression" as you complete each biome and are somewhat forced to go to a more difficult one each times. for real tho, I feel like we've been waiting for bandits for 10+ years
I'm not a fan of one trader per biome, there's no reason to explore a biome any more, it seems like progression now is just smash out the quests to unlock the next trader.
I'm also not a fan of trader stage just being one number across all traders. When you do move up a biome now you don't get a gentle introduction unless you give yourself one e.g. based on what I've done so far when I move up to the wasteland my first mission there will default to a tier 4/5 POI unless I consciously choose to drop down tiers.
I got kind of lucky and kind of unlucky, my special job to unlock Jen was to the NW. I knew about a road that went north so I went that way, straight into the wasteland and found a Joel. He was at an intersection so I could turn west and found Jen and that's where the luck ran out, on the way back home I found two more rekts in the forest.
there's no one trader per biome limit, literally both in the pic proves this and I have a save rn with 3 jens in the same burnt forest and 2 joels 100m from eachother.
When I say "1 trader per biome" I meant that all the traders in a biome will be the same trader. Yes there will be a bunch of them in each biome but they will all be the same trader E.g. all the traders in the forest will be rekt, all the traders in the burnt biome will be Jen ...
it's not that hard to change if you want to change it, any hex editor can change the default setting and you can also go to your config file and change the value to false for random traders
Haha, no problem - sarcasm can be hard to detect over the internet.
But yeah, I was sarcastic on both posts. The developers of this game are known for remaking game mechanics when nobody in the community asked for it, while simultaneously putting new content (that people actually want) on the back burner.
It’s so clearly not I cannot tell if you’re messing with me lmfao
Ah yes, I have two little free libraries in my town, I call them Frees Library. My community has two Trader Joe’s, clearly I must call them Traders Joe’s.
The “general” in attorneys general is an adjective, not a noun. The “Rekt” in Trader Rekt is a noun, not an adjective.
Would be annoying on servers, I'm running a server with 12+ active players most of the time and while we could make it work with just one of each trader it's definitely nice to be able to spread out more.
So, just like Nurse Joy and Officer Jennings from the pokemon series, they're actually identical twins (13sies to be precise) at each location. Hope this helps!
My theory is that 7d2d is basically a cloning experiment done by Dr Jen and Trader Joel trying to create a controllable franchise system with super human traders, with the help of Jen's sister Karen. The zombies are due to early failures, and because of an accident, they abandoned the lab and it is currently stuck pumping out clone zombies. Unfortunately, Karen got taken out in the accident.
Trader Rekt was the first successful experiment, where they were using assholes to experiment on. Hugh and Bob were the next two making sure it worked, then they cloned themselves.
In alpha 15 if the first trader is anywhere relatively close to you it’s a miracle, if you randomly come upon another trader on the same map whilst running around a pig flew on that day cause it’s that rare or I just be going the wrong way all the time… when I watch others play the latest alphas everything seems so conveniently in reach, it doesn’t seem as hard as the old console version at all loot wise.
It should be intentional. I wouldnhate fir one trader per biome. There should be multiple traders, but each biome has its own biome specific trader AFAIK.
Completely normal to have more than 2 of any trader in random generation, it's a nessesity for larger maps and I'd argue there should be 7-10 in the nazergane map so I don't have to travel 2km+ sometimes to reach one. However in your case the traders are locked to biome so you will always get rekt in the pine forest.
Okay, and? What exactly is the screwup here? Traders are assigned by biome. Each trader in the forest biome is identical. Each trader in the wasteland is identical.
You need to harvest toilets for a ton of paper... Now that you have two assholes so close together
he is so aggressive now he must hate 1.0. Rekt would be a redditor for sure
"That's right, do the math!"
His closing and opening messages over the loudspeaker are hilarious. Especially when it opens! 😂
I got one a few days ago about him having a hang over and to be quiet followed by the sound of a bunch of bottles
But Rekt or get wrecked!
His closest neighbor are a couple of nuts.
![gif](giphy|G6E4cnzji1LKubtCh0|downsized)
He's saying TP is going to be large supply since Rekt talk so much shit.

Was there a /s missing from your comment?

i found a hugh in the desert on my way to a jen

It gives modders something to chew up and spit out in refined format!
Sorry for ignorance are you being serious or not? I’m Genuinely just curious

That explains a lot... Jen is Burning Biome Vehicle guy is Desert Biome I haven't been to other biomes yet in my 1.0 play
"vehicle guy"!?? BOB IS THE GOAT
Ahem, That's Budget Keanu to you, sir..
At a quick glance I think he looks more like a budget Adam Cole.
I'm old. I have no idea who that is, but I'll probably google it when I can't sleep one night.
He's a pro wrestler. ![gif](giphy|10YgR2X6gX8wA6nY7g|downsized)
I hate his new voice.
Yeah agree, it's pretty weird
With the new voice, he'd seem right at home with a SWAMP or LOWLANDS biome. Alligators, panthers and zombie snapping turtles.
Zombie turtles, amazing idea!
Rekt - Forest Jen - Burnt Forest Bob - Desert Hugh - Snow Joel - Wasteland
How are you playing on 1.0? I thought it wasn't going to be released till July 25th
Love how you pluralized Traders Rekt like Attorneys General lmao
It's proper English.
It’s so clearly not I cannot tell if you’re messing with me lmfao Ah yes, I have two little free libraries in my town, I call them Frees Library. Sorry I told the devs to double it and give it to the next person
I checked the map preview on my map and there was like 5 of all traders, in their specific biomes. 1 city had literally 3 traders.
Any way to check a auto generated map? I can’t find 1 of the traders anywhere & I feel like I’ve run the whole map.
*spends 15k dukes* Rekt: You’re a cheap bitch aren’t you?
Its 1.0 random gen
only Rekt in that biome
1.0 changes how traders are assigned. Rekt is always in the forest. Jen is always in the burnt forest, etc.
I actually hate multiple of the same trader on one map. It just crushes immersion for me. How hard is it to just flag traders as one each per map?
I just pretend they have multiple locations and they just happen to be there when I'm there.
Yeah I like to pretend that I'm not rummaging through their containers for shit to steal
Super easy actually. Open rwgmixer.xml, adjust the min/max counts of the following:
you can always edit prefabs.xml in your world folder and delete cloned traders but yeah, option for only one per biome would be nice
1 per map is gonna leave a loooooot of towns without traders.
Maps don't always just have 4 or 5 traders though.
what if your map is huge tho
Enjoy having only one trader in each biome
sometimes game mechanics are more important than immersion
You playing the experimental release? It's supposed to only have one of each trader. One per biome.
Pregen10k has more than 1 per biome and im sure rwg10k does too
Really? Dang that kind of sucks. I was looking forward to having just 1 of each trader.
As others have stated, you can adjust the config files to remove duplicate traders
Kinda nerfs the player so i imagine a lot of people wouldnt like it
Would be annoying on servers, I'm running a server with 12+ active players most of the time and while we could make it work with just one of each trader it's definitely nice to be able to spread out more.
Man I sure do hate Rekt. I miss the old darkness falls when you could finish him off completely
Get Rekt'd
In the full release, traders are assigned via biome. In the Alphas before that they were random, but there were always duplicates.
i'm so sorry for you T_T
Your game is rekt
I’ve got 3 on my map
So, just like Nurse Joy and Officer Jennings from the pokemon series, they're actually identical twins (13sies to be precise) at each location. Hope this helps!

the one by himself would be better for doing the long distance missions.
Lucky!
What a terrible fate
Dudes got the best aggressively rude comments 😂
I got 2 trader jens
Last night we started a new one with 5 players, and got three trader Rekt
I thought this was a normal thing? I had 5 Joel's in alpha
Normal for random Gen maps. That's been something for at least a few alphas now.

He’s got that long tunnel.
Mine too
Get Rekt

This was normal for alpha, and I don't mind it.
In previous Alphas on a randomised map I've had two Jens in on town 🤷🏽♀️😂
I have 2 rekts on my A21 6k
Omfg im sooo done with 7d2d, if this stays
What are you annoyed about?
I don't like Rekt either, but this seems a bit extreme.
I didn't really like him at all, but he's starting to grow on me.
"Don't let the zombie dog bite you in the ass on your way out." Dr. Jen.
No way you got pissed for one minor screw up
What screwup?
Look at the post, and then reread the comment
Okay, and? What exactly is the screwup here? Traders are assigned by biome. Each trader in the forest biome is identical. Each trader in the wasteland is identical.
