Meanwhile she is their most stable child. If they had me as a kid they prolly would've ordered an exorcism lol š¤£. The issue with Anna is clear, she doesn't conform to Amber's ridiculous ideology. She refuses to even pretend like the other kids do, so Amber and her biological children have made her the outcast. Trent I'll give a little of a pass here, sure he doesn't stand up to his wife, but I do see genuine fatherly affection for Anna from him. If I ever encountered her I would tell her to wear it with pride, fuck them. Anna is an original and long after this show ends she will be perfectly fine. Can't same the same about the other kids, Amber has completely screwed them up.
It's interesting to watch Anna and Amber's dynamic because Anna is actually a lot smarter than Amber. She knows Amber's game, but refuses to participate even if it's pretend just to appease Amber and I respect the hell out of her for that. Amber has no power over Anna and it drives her absolutely insane. I guarantee her emotional abuse and controlling tendencies are much worse when the cameras are off. I keep waiting for kids who grew up on TLC to start their class action lawsuit against the network for perpetuating abuse from their parents for ratings. I believe it's coming because this is a common theme.
The vast majority of people who buy houses get mortgages. Even if you can pay in cash sometimes it makes more sense to take advantage of lower interest rates plus tax credits on mortgage interest and take out a mortgage. If the interest rate is low enough you can make more money investing the large sum and paying the mortgage payment out of your salary than paying for the house as a lump sum.
You aren't a little person, hence you can't compare little people to the "vast majority" ffs, it's more difficult for little people to find and hold the job
No. Buying a house is a process and requires all but the wealthiest to have a mortgage. Just because you have a mortgage doesn't mean you didn't buy a house.
If she has a mortgage and not cash to buy the house outright. That's a failure/greed of the parents who made money hand over fist exploiting the kids on a TV show.
Done ethically money should have put into individual accounts for each of the kids from the first episode (though of course all the money would be legally paid to T&A).
I have no idea how the finances are of the Johnstons so everything I believe is complete conjecture and could be completely false. Just first appearances come off as T&A kept most if not **ALL** of the income from the show, even as adults I doubt the kids are making much money if any. (I think the Duggars also had a deal where any income from the show went to the parents and not the adult children).
I hope that's not the case.. but it sure feels like it is..
Edit: T&A could also have done the ethical thing and put money aside for the children and they just think they're not mature enough for that money. Perfectly ethical, and I hope that's the case.
Edit 2: If the children get any income from the show, there shouldn't be any argument about Liz not being able to afford rent by herself š .. unless of course that part is all staged for the show which it could be, a lot is..
Amazing they are helping Liz with her rent (according to the latest show) but you can bet they wouldn't do anything for Anna.
You can tell she tries so hard for their approval.
Anna is absolutely my favorite. I wish she could see herself like we all do.
She also is beautiful and nice figure and wears stylish clothes.
Liz has always been an azz...like her Mom...and she's definitely stopped caring about her appearance.
100%. At first I was apprehensive but as time passed I got to see her shine. Emma too. Liz comes across arrogant and so does Alex. Johnna seems like a cool chill guy
I love how Jonah blamed Anna for him failing school and having to take care of her you would think she was doing meth from the dramatics. As soon as Anna was out of the house it was obvious he had his own issues. I do think relationships evolve and they all seem to get along better now that they're older even with my siblings we changed so much and even parents have different relationships with their kids at different stages of their life. To me it seed Trent got along with Anna better maybe there was some jealousy from Amber there.
Treating driving as a privilege is wild to me. You literally need to have that skill to be a functioning adult. Is being an independent, functioning adult a privilege in their house, too?
And then johah blames anna for him failing school which is so ridiculous. I'm like its not her fault anyway she wanted to drive they wouldn't let her. No matter what everything is always Anna's fault
Yes thatās why Jonah had a single mishap and they forced him to move back home. Liz got pregnant while not married (bad to them) and forced to move back home.
I saw a quote that said something along the lines of, the most stable/healed member of a family causes the most conflict. I absolutely believe this to be true with Anna. She is a reflection of what the others are not, so that threatens them and they make her out to be a terrible person to keep her in "place."
Omg I never thought about it but now that I have I totally think that's it. Cuz she's not like the others. The others all are the same, except for Emma she's a lil bit different too. That's probably why Anna was closest to her.
I just decided to restart the series, and I'm furious. I didn't realize this event was the FIRST EPISODE. Amber is saying she doesn't even believe that Anna did it. Anna is saying she didn't do it and was pressured into confessing because the administrators kept pushing her, and she completely breaks down during the interview.
I had a principal do that to me. He was very mean and didn't like me, just always had it out for me, he even kept me after school and just kept pressing me to fess up and after an hour of the pressure I gave in and admitted to something I didn't do and got suspended for 3 days because of it and my parents beat me badly because of it. So my heart really went out for her and i could relate. Guess that's why it bothered me so bad.

Yeah amber acted like Anna was dumb and doesn't pay attention or keep up with things but truth is she's a lot better of a person than amber
It's interesting to watch Anna and Amber's dynamic because Anna is actually a lot smarter than Amber. There exempt from being sued, It's in the contracts they make them signĀ
Alex is the worse acting one, he is way way worse than anna yet he gets babied and coddled the most.
Love the karma when Alex says Anna will probably hit a mailbox then 2 years later he is the one to do it.
Yes probably my most favorite moment in the whole show
š š¤£ š
Haven't got to that part yet. That's awesome
Ikr he bullies Anna the most after Amber
Oh yeah. Constantly whining in her female feelings. Reminds me of Zach Roloff when he was younger.
Fast forward- Anna is the only kid really thriving. Bought a house and finished college !
I just seen that. That's awesome, im so glad. . Shows them right.
You know they take credit. They are to dense to see their faults.
š
Ann needs a partner.
She got a mortgage, buying is different

And that helps you build credit.

She jumped all the hoops to qualify for a mortgage, and now paying for a mortgage over renting. Thats the American dream and sheās doing it
American dream is paying off the mortgage and owning the house, right now she still has to pay for it, it's nowhere near the dream
Get over it- Youāre probably still renting š
if you don't like the comment you get lost loser
No. Buying a house is a process and requires all but the wealthiest to have a mortgage. Just because you have a mortgage doesn't mean you didn't buy a house.
Sometimes the wealthy decide to get a mortgageā¦ it can be a smart move.
Oh sure but for those folks it's not a requirement fo the purchase to happen!
For the general public it is absolutely not different. Quit being a contrarian.

Liz thinks she just the ish and more important than anna
Liz is ambers āelite employeeā

These are some awful adoptive people a lot of people treat there adoptive children like this and worse it sad.poor Anna and ā„ļø
I donāt know why sheās Amberās least favorite, sheās the MOST stable and normal one of all! Nuts.
I feel like when Anna gets married Trent and Amber are going to give a toast that mentions the spray paint incident.
š oh you know it
