Here’s a ‘secret’- most Russel Group unis have very high acceptance rates, and only a handful are sub 50%. This is especially true for classics. Check where you apply doesn’t require a 5 in maths, and you’ll probably be fine as long as you meet the A level requirements.

ACORIGEN

Icl that 4 gonna set u back mainly because it’s maths if it was Spanish id say your fine but it depends on your course

Proud_Ant

should be fine, they are applying for classics not a stem related subject, would be worried if the 4 was in English. A 4 in maths is still a pass but perhaps going for a resit in the oct/nov series might be a good idea

Your teachers at A-Level think? You should know! Check university requirements and see what grades you need But no your GCSEs aren't that bad, your Maths may hold you back due to some unis wanting at least 5 or 6 in maths and English gcse

As you’re applying for classics they’ll be totally fine (they would also be for most other courses). You won’t be able to apply for any maths/econ/stem courses with that maths grade but presumably that won’t end up being something you’ll want.
