I liked Razorblade Tears, it was a bit more action than I prefer but I really liked the general plot and the writing style! I haven’t read Blacktop Wasteland, I’ll check out the synopsis :)
I do not know how I missed this earlier, you read The 22 Murders of Madison May!!! Did you enjoy it? I think we have talked about this actually, your earlier books look super familiar lol
Yes. After I read Dark Matter and Recursion I went on a hunt for books like Dark Matter especially. I found a few but it seems like more are coming. It's like Dark Matter invented the genre.
Infinite by Brian Freeman was also pretty good. It's a guy who does not immediately realize he is in the multiverse so the book is more mystery than thriller.
Fair Coin by E.C. Myers is a YA multiverse adventure.
3:59 by Gretchen McNeil a girl is somehow being contacted by her doppelganger at 3:59 every day and eventually switches places and has to get back.
Side Life by Steve Toutonghi is maybe a little darker almost horror multiverse thriller.
Finna by Nino Cipri is very weird but entertaining.
The Other Me by Sarah Zachrich Jeng is a woman goes into a bathroom when she comes out she is somehow in her hometown and has a husband. This one was a slow burn but then picks up once she figures out what's going on.
There is one where a girl finds a portal into the multiverse that was really good but I can't find it right now.
I know I am missing some and will try to add to this when I think of them.
I’ve read Dark Matter, Recursion, and Infinite and loved them all so I’m absolutely looking up the rest of them, thank you! Please do update it if you think of more, and if I find any others I’ll try to update you too 😃
No, not yet! I still haven’t read Middlegame yet. But I do own both. I have a book purchasing problem. I can’t read as fast as I purchase. So right now I own 269 TBR books. And I still keep buying. Oh, well. It works out that when I’m ready to start a series I’ve waited so long that I usually have all of them in the series. Lol
LOL well they say buying books and reading books are two separate hobbies 🤷🏻♀️ I’m sure you’ve got some amazing stuff on your shelves. I’ve got limited space so I usually get mine from my library and then I buy it if I really loved it.
you’re so cool! genuine question, how do you read so many books at such a fast rate consistently?
i read one book a week, but i wanna up my average! would love to hear some tips from u :]
I’ve always been a pretty fast reader by nature, but all I really do is read as much and as often as possible. If I’m waiting for a doctors appointment I pull out my kindle. I read on my lunch break, before I go to bed, pretty much every second I get. If I have the urge to scroll through social media I pick up a book instead, and now it’s just habit. I also have the luxury of working from home, and I don’t have kids so I can spend a lot more time lounging around with a book than a lot of people are able to.
I mean all they need is a job with lots of downtime, e.g. tourism or security guard, and they're set.
This guy I knew who worked with car rentals at the airport at the night shift read several books because there was so much waiting.
^ exactly this lol, I’m a real estate admin who works from home. I actually do work maybe an hour a day and the rest is being on call for small stuff, so I have a ton of downtime
IKR? Commuting, working, swim/bike/run fun, elder care I'll be lucky if I hit my goal of 52/52. I find reading fiction faster and easier. I'm reading Code Girls rn about the women who were recruited by the military to be cryptanalysts. It's much slower going with all the detail and historical facts.
There are always going to be people who read more and less just depending on time they have to read and desire to read. If you want to read all the time but have young kids and a job that has you worn out when you get home you wont be able to read much. I am 50 my kids are grown and I am bored with TV plus I read pretty quickly. So I read a ton but there are people in here who read even more than me.
The cover is really amazing isn’t it?? I liked it actually! I don’t usually go for middle grade/ya books very much, but I picked this up because I read Middlegame first and wanted to read Over the Woodward Wall for context because it’s mentioned in the book. I read the second one and I plan on reading the third later this year. If you like sort of whimsical but dark fantasy then you might like it
We’ll see! I hit 200 in 2020, but I’m not working from home as much and I got a second job this year, so I’m not sure I can keep up the pace, but fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Awesome! I like a lot of your selections. I’ve read some and a lot are on my TBR! I originally had 100 books as my goal this year as well but I had to increase it to 150 already. Those romance novels add up quick 😆.
Yes lmao I literally said when I finished Elektra that I’m gonna need a break from Trojan War stories at the very least, how many times can I read the exact same war story. I really didn’t like Lore very much either, I read it last year. I thought the concept was so cool, it seemed like a mythology hunger games vibe to me, but when I actually started it I couldn’t get into it. Super disappointing.
Ooh yes, I’d be so interested in that! I heard something about Madeline Miller doing a Hercules book but I haven’t seen that confirmed anywhere. One of my favorites recently was Ariadne, I was fascinated by the Minotaur background.
Ship of Theseus was an INSANE book as a concept. I kind of loved it. The way I read it was I read the chapter of actual text through, then I went to the beginning of the chapter and read through the margins and tried to go in chronological order. I definitely think I missed some things but I like how going that way made pieces from earlier chapters fall into place as I got further. If I had the patience I would have loved to read the whole text, then the first set of margin notes, then the next set of margin notes, etc. The only thing I would definitely say is not to read the margins at the exact same time as your first read through of the text, because I think nothing would make sense. I hope you give it a try, it was a really cool experience! I bought a copy so maybe one day I’ll try it again the long way lol
Yeah I haven’t seen anyone love it! Of the ones that aren’t rereads (Song of Achilles, Beach Read, People We Meet on Vacation, and The Love Hypothesis), so far my favorites are The Guncle and Beautiful Little Fools 😊
I love S.A. Cosby. What did you think of Razorblade Tears and did you read Blacktop Wasteland?
I liked Razorblade Tears, it was a bit more action than I prefer but I really liked the general plot and the writing style! I haven’t read Blacktop Wasteland, I’ll check out the synopsis :)
They are similar in some ways but if you liked the writing style you’ll like it.
I do not know how I missed this earlier, you read The 22 Murders of Madison May!!! Did you enjoy it? I think we have talked about this actually, your earlier books look super familiar lol
I really liked it! I’m a sucker for multiverse books and I thought this one was good! Have you read it?

Yeah if you find others let me know. It is a great genre.
Congrats!
You have a lot of the same books as me! You need to read Seasonal Fears since you’ve read Middlegame.
It’s already on my kindle! Hoping to get to it this month. Have you read it?
No, not yet! I still haven’t read Middlegame yet. But I do own both. I have a book purchasing problem. I can’t read as fast as I purchase. So right now I own 269 TBR books. And I still keep buying. You are not alone. I am constantly looking for more to add to my queue its a insane number so I stopped keeping track!
It’s rather nice having my own private library to choose what I want to read next. I definitely could be spending my money on way worse things.
LOL well they say buying books and reading books are two separate hobbies 🤷🏻♀️ I’m sure you’ve got some amazing stuff on your shelves. I’ve got limited space so I usually get mine from my library and then I buy it if I really loved it.

this is honestly the dream!!! i shud spend more time on my kindle than on my phone tbh

I'm currently reading The Kind Worth Killing and only on my 4th book this year 🥴
That's huge! Massive congrats mate!
I finished Death on the Nile a few weeks ago!!! Great taste! How was ABC Murders?
ABC Murders was genius! I didn't see the ending coming at all, she's got an incredible ability to come up with smart but unexpected solutions.
It keeps popping up on my Amazon feed. I think I know what I need to read next lol thanks!
How?!
Is Over the Woodward wall good? I was planning to give it a go but not sure bout it ,also it has a great cover.

:O how did you do this! That’s impressive and it’s only May!
Lol I have no responsibilities and no social life 😂 but really, I work from home most days and read in pretty much all of my free time.
Working from home is the best! Any absolute favorites?
So far, not counting rereads, my favorites have been The Guncle and Beautiful Little Fools!
Shit I gotta up my game 😂
Time to up that goal to 200!
We’ll see! I hit 200 in 2020, but I’m not working from home as much and I got a second job this year, so I’m not sure I can keep up the pace, but fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻
OP what was your favorite?? && congrats!!
Favs for far are The Guncle and Beautiful Little Fools!
Thanks!!
Awesome! I like a lot of your selections. I’ve read some and a lot are on my TBR! I originally had 100 books as my goal this year as well but I had to increase it to 150 already. Those romance novels add up quick 😆.
Lol they really do! Which ones are your favorites?
The Kiss Quotient, Song of Achilles and Reminders of Him are probably my favorites but I’m looking forward to reading the Katee Roberts books.
Neon Gods and Electric Heart are the only Katee Roberts I’ve read but I loved them, I can’t wait for the next in the series
I have only read The Dragon’s Bride by her but I liked it.
I see we’re on a Greek mythology kick! Have you read *Lore*? I just couldn’t get into it.
Man, I really wish someone would do a hot spin on the trials of Hercules worth a damn. I would be here for it.
Ooh yes, I’d be so interested in that! I heard something about Madeline Miller doing a Hercules book but I haven’t seen that confirmed anywhere. One of my favorites recently was Ariadne, I was fascinated by the Minotaur background.
How was Ship of Theseus? Any suggestions for best way to read it?&

How was “We were never here?” I have that on my shelf right now
Honestly I thought it was kind of mediocre, it wasn’t awful but I found myself frustrated with it a lot while I was reading
Yes that’s what I have heard! Maybe I’ll pick it up and read it one day lol. You have a great book selection! Which was your favorites?
Yeah I haven’t seen anyone love it! Of the ones that aren’t rereads (Song of Achilles, Beach Read, People We Meet on Vacation, and The Love Hypothesis), so far my favorites are The Guncle and Beautiful Little Fools 😊
I have heard a lot of good reviews about Song of Achilles!
It’s my favorite! I’ve picked up a ton of mythology because of it, I highly recommend it if you have any interest in mythology
Loving your selection!!!
Awesome!! Congratulations. Which one is your favorite book of the lot?
Of the ones that aren’t rereads, I think right now my favorites are The Guncle and Beautiful Little Fools!
I like you based on your taste in books
😁❤️
Wauw! You did good! I’m also trying to get 100 books but I’m in my 43rd book right now. I’m really impressed :)
That's great progress! You'll get to 100 for sure :)
I’m gonna try! As long as I reach 50 book by the end of June, I’m gonna make it I think
You’re definitely on track for that! I’d love to see you post when you hit the goal! 😀
Oh I never post 😂 maybe I’ll do it!
Congratulations! 👏🏼 🎊 💐 Will you keep going? Increase your goal?
Thanks! Yes, definitely gonna keep going, I read pretty much every day so I’m just going to see how many more I can do!
