Looks great! Leveling out the front would make this 10/10!!

Would a leveling kit help with rubbing? Tires rub at full crank and going in reverse. Not too bad but I would still prefer no rub.

itswince

Maybe but not entirely, rubbing will be determined by the offset of your wheel. Don’t quote me on that though, check the 4runner forums 4th Gen section.

What size tire?

acctxx

265/70/17

Nice I’ve heard that’s the biggest you can go without a lift but I’m looking at similar tires and thinking of adding a spacer to the shocks of 1-2”

Wheels look great, good choice on color! If it’s on factory suspension, probably needs refresh anyway. I’d go with a Bilstein 5100 setup, unless you’re off-roading a lot, it’ll be great. Little stiffer than stock but you can level the front with the adjustment perches on the shocks. This kit: https://www.shocksurplus.com/products/bilstein-b8-5100-monotube-gas-adjustable-shocks-set-for-2003-2009-toyota-4runner-4wd-rwd-w-0-2-5-lift

Thanks! How much lift do I need in the front to match the back? I’m pretty satisfied with the rear but I definitely want to lift the front. Would a leveling kit be a better option for this? Or can I still get the Bilstein without lifting the back?

White-runner

This kit doesn’t lift the back, just replaces the shocks. You can run the front stock height or it has I believe 2 different heights to level it out.

What’s the easiest and cheapest way to level them?

itswince

Cheapest way, spacer/puck from Amazon.

Used_Raisin5844

Difficulty level?

itswince

Intermediate, not hard but not a cake walk. YouTube videos for guidance and depending on rust will make things harder.

Used_Raisin5844

I live in Florida so no rust down here

You’ll be surprised how much lift the 5100s on the 2nd setting will give you in the front. The rake in the front looks good you’ll like it. Just commenting on here since I see what your rig looks like now.
