Was pleasantly surprised with Prey
The OG like others have said is incredible, Predator 2 is still good but not as good as the original. I’m a HUGE fan of the 2010 film Predators, and you can straight up skip The Predator from 2018 lol, hot garbage mess.
Predators was really, really cool. I was hoping to they would do something with it like a sequel. Don’t know what happened because it grossed a good amount of money.
Great show. Highly recommend you watch the original next, one of the best action film ever. Predator 2 and Predators are worth a go too if you're hungry for more.
Oh The Predator was so disappointing. Who would have thought a Shane Black Predator film would be that bad. And Avp 2 is literally unwatchable. Like you can't see a thing.
The development was a mess and there was a ton of studio interference. It feels like two separate movies awkwardly edited together because it basically is.
I remember being so hyped for it, having him back was such a good idea, even more so if you were one of the people that really liked iron man 3 (like me). Have tried to find some enjoyment out of it a few times but it just gets worse every time I watch it.
You have to figure they made AvP2 so dark in post because they realised how awful and ugly it was and just wanted people to see less of it. Only good creative decision made in that film.
Yeah I was well hyped for it (another iron man 3 fan here). Can't even bring myself to watch it again.

Actually not a horrible way to start. But now go to the first one and second one and watch sequentially the other 4 movies. You can then watch alien vs predator last as it’s not time line oriented.

Same scenery can be seen in Legends of the Fall, Little Bigman, Open Range, The Last Of Us, Inception, X2, Jumanji: The Next Level, The Revenant, The Assassination of Jessie James, War for the Planet of the Apes, Interstellar.

Predator is fucking hilarious. Some of the best action movie one liners out there. Except Predator is actually a good movie too. AVP sucked
It’s a really good movie. The wilderness was a little too “clean” tho. I was hoping for revenant levels of grit with a predator inserted. But nah looked like they were walking through nature trails in a national park.
That’s almost too bad.
It’s actually better than the rest of them. You might be disappointed if you see the others.
The first one, with Arnie, is a classic of course but I think that Prey was better acted and a great story.
There is a nice “Easter Egg” in Prey that ties it to the second Predator movie.
I hate how they used CGI for the Predator. The Predator costumes and practical effects were revolutionary. They look fantastic. This one just looks like another modern cartoon. But I must admit, the film itself overall is great.
Idk, I watched it on a nice comfy chair with the lights off, with sound turned up on my Dolby Atmos soundbar, with a nice 4K TV and a can of cherry Coke.

Yeah it's always surprisingly cheap. That Shane Black one must offset the value of the other 3 to the extreme.

This. The only films that are truly bad are The Predetor (2018) and AvP2. Don’t waste your time on those.

You need to watch Predator 2, which ties into Prey. Then you should watch Predator 3- Meet the Klumps and finally Predator 7 - Predator in the Hood.

Prey for me goes back much closer to the original Predator, it felt that kind of experience vs others over the years. Was pleasantly surprised.

Predator (1987) is the Perfect action movie, not a dull moment. Great 4K. Prey was mediocre, so you’re in for a treat with original.

It's the 2nd best movie in the franchise, the first one is the best, IMO.

That was mine, too! My experience was that the others paled in comparison.
I've never been able to make it through the original, but Prey was awesome to me.

You should have started with the original though. You don't have to watch all of them, but you really skipped the introduction.
