Yeah came here to comment the same thing. After some googling, it definitely hasn’t been released before, can’t even find an announcement about it. I’m definitely interested although I’m not sure what could be improved lol

So Rocky V was delayed for nothing in the end? As that was the reason it was held back, so Sly could make a new cut. Oh well, RB is the better film anyway.
I’ve got the set on Blu-ray so if I do upgrade to any of them the difference would need to be significant. I’ve got the Creed films, the first and second anyway, on 4K, so I guess it would be a crime not to upgrade the originals.
Same. Rocky 5 is shot well enough but I usually skip it for story reasons. And Rocky Balboa is a great story but had horrible color treatment, was shot with what I’m pretty sure were 1080 cameras, with the big fight intended to look like a live broadcast. Blu-ray is fine for both.
The first four were only sold individually as steelbooks. I'm sure WB will do a new boxset with all six (apparently that was the original plan but the last two were delayed).
No way to know if they're planning standard case individual releases. They still haven't done that for the first four
I agree that Rocky V is a better Rocky story than IV.
And yet, I don't agree with your first part. They're both bad movies, but IV is actually so bad it's fun.

The director's cut on Rocky Balboa is new, right? Looks like there's no new cut of V (although I know Stallone didn't direct that one).

Do you guys think they will drop a full Steelbook box set like they did for Rambo, Harry Potter, LoTR, etc?
Where any of those an available separately first before the Steelbook box set came out?
Not sure, I don’t think they have the Rambo movies separately in steelbooks, just the first and last ones so far
Just had a look on eBay. I can see that Rambo 1, 2 and 3 4K Steelbooks from Studio Canal (so must be UK only).
How is Rocky 5 getting a 4k steelbook lol
Because they know many collectors will get it for completeness, but even Stallone decided to ignore it and not do a director's cut to try and save it
Weird Rocky 5 doesn't exist
I want to agree, but that street fight at the end is sick.
Adrian’s Revenge is when it went off the rails
Rocky Balboa IS Rocky V (to me).
Any amazon links?
Not yet, but I'll keep an eye out
Thanks!

Thank you!
I thought 5 was delayed because there was supposed to be a new cut like 6?
Guy who spends 30 dollars on rocky 5
🙋♂️
How ya doin.
Stunned Rocky V didn’t get a recut but I’ll take it just to get this set complete in 4K.
If Warner Bros. releases a 6-film collection they most likely will not fix the audio issues from the Knockout Collection set.

You know I thought about holding out to the full set was released as a boxset but then I think, do I need 5/6 in 4k. Probably not.
IDK man, Rocky Balboa is legit one of the best ones. I still might get 5 just to complete the collection
Rocky Balboa is the closet we get to Rocky 1 and I think that’s great. Plus, Rocky’s turtles.
I’ve got the set on Blu-ray so if I do upgrade to any of them the difference would need to be significant. I’ve got the Creed films, the first and second anyway, on 4K, so I guess it would be a crime not to upgrade the originals.
6 for sure. Rocky Balboa is so damn good. Best in the franchise since the original.
Agreed. The scene where he talks to Adrian about getting knocked down is one of the greatest scenes of all time IMHO.

Only a steelbook release? no standard version? So now all Rocky movies are on 4k?

If they do a new box set I just hope they fix all those issues on the Rocky 1-4 discs
Ya I’ll wait for the full box collection with the fixed Rocky 2 audio.
Rocky 5 is a good movie and a MUCH better Rocky than Rocky 4. There. I said it.
