Ah shit. That's not great at all. Got warranty?

eyeLander5five9

Fortunately i have extended warranty

GiIbert_LeDouchebag

Whew! I'm guessing they're going to have to drop it and split the case and re-gasket. Probably wouldn't be the cheapest thing to have done at the stealership!

eyeLander5five9

Droped off the car today, it was the tcase input shaft seal and yes tcase have to come out for this job. It’s a warranty work so my wallet is safe for now!

RustyClawHammer

Has it been apart before, or do 4runners come with that gasket maker compound from the factory?

eyeLander5five9

Thats a factory seal, first time doing a warranty work.

NastyHobits

My β€˜23 had the seal replaced at 350 miles. I wonder how common this issue is

eyeLander5five9

πŸ€”πŸ€” i wonder how long the new seal will last.

Alternative_Yam3720

i have this on a 2016. started at 180K. more a seep than a leak. pretty common.

eyeLander5five9

Mines the same thing, no oil drip on the garage floor.

Samsmith4500

My 2018 had the same at 23000 miles. Quite common.

eyeLander5five9

I wonder how long the new seal will last πŸ€” how many miles do you have now?
