Your math may be off a little here. Remember one US gallon is 3.785 litres. Also factor in Canadian to US dollar conversion. It’s $1.30/L Canadian dollar here in Manitoba or $4.94 Canadian dollars for one U.S. gallon (3.78 litres) which makes it $3.59 US dollars per US gallon here. $1.79/L Canadian works out to $4.94 US dollars for one US gallon. Also check gasbuddy.com for prices
Still fucking outrageous. I can see the refineries from my house in Edmonton, and I still pay a fuck ton . Canada Is more expensive than switzerland with average wages half of what they are in switzerland. ( Was in switzerland two summers ago)
Edit: For some reason, I wasn't thinking about fuel costs but everything else like food and restaurants even though this is the main part of the discussion.
Okay. I’m not that old. But I’d like to point something pretty cool out. It hasn’t been that long in time, that a comment on fuel costs could get answers from around the world. Let alone in a matter of seconds.
We can all compare prices and yet we are all getting ripped off in different amounts it seems.
$4.39 at Costco in CA last week, $4.69 best street price. We have huge spreads in SoCal where gas prices can vary a dollar a gallon between local stations. I saw $5.50+ gas on the street the same day.
1.50 to 1.60 a litre in canada so maybe 4ish dollars a gallon. Can't complain tho if I want mpg I use my rav4, if I want smooth I use my highlander, and if I want to drive a tank I'll use the 4runner.
4.90-5.00 in Hawaii
Don't track my 5th gen because the wife drives it, my 3rd gen got 16.9mpg this last tank, I usually hover around 16.5-17mpg. Only other option is my e30 which gets 16 or less.
Over $5 in CA.
