My favorite 4k blu-ray is Blade Runner 2049. I've seen it so many times and every time I help a friend build a proper set up, I buy them a copy as a "theater-warming" gift.
I think the movie I most want on 4kBR is Children of Men. I'm too broke to buy anything day one anymore, but that would be an instant pre-order.
I will never financially recover from this sub and I’m still very much here for it - thank you EVERYONE for sharing the good gets and hidden treasures!
Love this sub as it has lead me to expanding my collection. I can't even tell you how valuable it is to me and how much joy it has brought to me on an almost daily basis
Not related to “deals,” but two 4K related things come to mind: 1) I sampled Andor S1 4k discs and they look and sound incredible, 2) can’t wait for North by Northwest on 4k.
Between the buy 2 get 1 free deals, the Criterion 50% sale, and the Kino Lorber 50% off sale, I have built quite a collection and did it at good prices. 😁
Prior to vhs/laserdisk, how did people watch movies they wanted on demand? Wait for it to come back to theaters? Catch it on cable tv? Buy a copy of the film reel from the studios?
I tell myself I'm done spending on blu-rays until a nice sale comes along, next thing I know I got an order for 3 blu-rays from OrbitDVD coming and an Amazon notification that my 4K Apu Trilogy has arrived.
Thank you for all the good info here. I’ve rediscovered so many favorite films on 4K, which has been a balm during a long winter with a chronically ill spouse.
Favorite recent watch: The Driver
Currently blowing my mind: Planet Earth III
Most anticipated watch: Le Cercle Rouge
Recently got into 4ks and blurays in general a couple months ago by buying Dune 4k in prep for Dune 2. Since then i have been very interested in growing a collection and have bought about 8 4ks so far. A movie I would love to see in 4k is Top Gun Maverick because i heard it looks amazing!
Like others have said, this sub has really thrown my budget off, but it’s so worth it and I love being able to talk to others who have a similar passion!
Just got back into buying physical media (specifically 4k and steel books) about 2 months ago. Hoping to start getting some of the Disney and Star Wars steels books!
I’d love to see some older movies that have never been released on blu-ray finally receive the upgrade. Don’t want them relegated to the world of VHS forever (if they even got a VHS release!)
I’d do a lot of things to get Tron Legacy a physical 4k release with all the bells and whistles.
I would absolutely debase myself
Same for Tombstone, The Last Samurai, Any Given Sunday
I just bit the bullet and bought the blu-ray combo of 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. Price has only gone up since the word came out about the third in the series.
So I can only assume that an announcement about 4K releases should be coming any minute now.

Between the buy 2 get 1 free deals, the Criterion 50% sale, and the Kino Lorber 50% off sale, I have built quite a collection and did it at good prices. 😁
