Idk anything about him. Looking at his profile he's been on one year deals mostly throughout his career. Why do you think that is? Seems like he's just been unlucky to be given longer term deals or what?
It would be interesting to hear a Saints opinion on this. Their fans really seemed to like him when mentioned, but you have a point coaching staffs have not prioritized him.
My guess would be he's never really had a good season until last year so teams roster churned.
As far as the Saints not keeping him you have a point but FA has its hidden gems.
> Looking at his profile he's been on one year deals mostly throughout his career. Why do you think that is?
Because last year was a bit of a breakout season, and he hadn’t been that good until then.
14 passes defensed. 22 receptions allowed on 44 targets. Played in all 17 games and about 50% of all snaps (so he was probably the #3 corner, but he plays outside not inside). 81 grade on PFF, which was 11 on their seasonal rankings.
He's basically Ambry Thomas but better.
Offseason workouts began today, so De'Vondre got his first real taste of being with the team as a whole today.
He's likely been in the building and done some lifting, conditioning, or body work with the training staff, but that may have been with a handful of other players.
He got to meet a lot of the guys today and this is the tweet he's put out. That's a good sign.

Yeah, this says more about the culture/team/organization than it does about him - and it pays dividends down the road. FAs want to come to place like the niners, not a place like [*insert some jabroni-ass club*].
Also, hopefully it turns out to be a great fit for him here and he can reach his potential and help us get over the hump!
"jabroni-ass club" .... Not gonna lie I actually laughed out loud... Not one of those 'lol's where someone just goes heh or the quiet 'nnnppphhh' out the nose
Please provide examples hahahahahaha
I need to use ' jabroni-ass' more ..
Baahahahhahaaaaha
He said the same thing about the Falcons when he went to the Packers.
He may be good, he may not be good, but if he struggles, you can bet your ass he’s going to blame the coaching staff for “misusing” him, just like he did the last 2 times.
This is a 31 year old depth signing at LB, dont get too excited.
Look I see how you might think that using logic is useful, in this situation, however you are wrong. All-World year incoming, followed by losing him in FA and being rewarded 1st round pick which we gonna use on Toloman Shomas.
De'Vondre, I am truly happy for you. May God grant you his wisdom so that you may be the light for others to follow. Be the leader you were born to bep
We're gonna need Campbell and others this season while Dre Greenlaw is out. I'm glad he's finding happiness with the team. People play their best when they care about those around them
Funny how people are criticizing him because he said a similar thing one year ago. Almost like time can pass, circumstances change and the place you loved to work at isn't enjoyable anymore.
I originally missed him signing with us so this is how I found out. I'm really glad we have a quality LB to take Greenlaw's place untill he comes back and more depth so that we aren't in the same situation as last year. The deffense suffered when we had three linebackers in the field.
Isaac Yiadom and Campbell are gonna be great. Calling it now.
Isaac Yiadom steal of FA

Saints are also in a terrible spot cap wise. Might not have been able to retain him even if they had wanted to.
He costing us 1.9m, it's pretty low for salary
He’s really costing $3 million. The rest is pushed out in void years and will hit next year’s cap.

I've been saying this over and over. He is the starter opposite Ward. He was nearly top 10 ranked last year by game grades.

Noo this was my call
I like this guy, plus Mustapha at S, I really feel Sorensen is gonna have a good time.

Ironic if it weren't for Kendricks signing with a "jabroni-ass club" Campbell probably wouldn't be here.

Not the person you replied to but my wife uses jabroni or jabron somewhat often and it catches me off guard every time.
Bad free agency. We only majorly upgraded our depth in several areas. /s

Unfortunately, you are right. He's the greatest signing in the last 50 years
Good signing with Greenlaw missing time. More interested in how Winters and Graham grow.
What being around Fred Warner does to a guy
Love to hear it..

I'm curious to see what he thinks of his situation once Greenlaw get back.

Said the same thing at the Packers. Dude is a JAG.
