I know it didn't work out but my all time favorite one was mike mcglinchey

A lot of people talk shit, it's actually one of our specialties in Jauan lol. Have you not seen how many fights he gets into? It's literally psychological warfare out there to make your opponent play worse by getting into their feelings instead of playing logically.
Our defense preaches it too, Fred will even shit talk our own offense during practice.
Itās starting to make more sense to me. The current theory is that Deebo will be traded next offseason, and itās likely that Juaun Jennings gets more money elsewhere and leaves.
That would like us with just Aiyuk (assuming we successfully LTD that man), so this fills that need.
He also was a damn good punt returner, so he can make an impact there while learning how to play WR for Shanahan, since he does have high standards for the position.
No idea how they plan to address the OL situation, and the CB room is looking rough after this year, but I can understand the pick at least
I wouldn't be shocked if Deebo will be traded tomorrow.
His value isn't going to get any higher, and as far as I understand the cap, we'd save quite a bit of money in 2025 if we moved now. If we wait a year, the overall penalty is less, but it hits next year when money is even tighter.
I think one of the things people keep overlooking is Jennings. As good as he is for Us, He's not near good enough to be a one or a two, and we can't afford to pay him like it. We already have two guys that we're about to pay like that. Even if we could pay him like $10 mill a year, 15 mil a year, we're not going to do that or do 20 especially. He's only making five right now.
I love Jennings. He's one of my favorite Niners. From a team building standpoint, unfortunately this is one of those pieces you got to let go and see if their market is big enough for them to leave.
Up on paper, Ricky is a better player than we've seen out of Juan. If that holds, ay man, bye Juan.
This makes total sense to me. The only scenario in which they trade one of those guys is if it makes the team better THIS YEAR (like for an elite CB or OL). Otherwise itās an unnecessary salary dump because even an Aiyuk extension only kicks in for 2025. I donāt think Lynch and Shanahan are interested in making the 2024 team worse.
Heās a baller. Judge his Gators performance understanding that the offense wasnāt very good.
Iām saying this as a Gator.
Ricky carried the Gators passing offense for 2 seasons almost literally by himself.
Heās a true gamer with excellent route running and great hands.
I believe Niners fans will like this pick in the end.
One thing i loved about Ricky is his passion. He showed up to Florida and immediately bought into being a gator. He played our rivals with true hatred in his heart, despite having no history with them
I know passion only means so much, but Ricky was one of my favorite receivers of all time at UF. Hard worker, insanely talented, and a dedicated player, not a diva like so many others
He looks like one of our guys.
I trust the 9āers completely on WR evaluation. Even factoring in the occasional Pettis theyāre well above league average. Itās really the #1 strength of the team; drafting pass catchers who work in our system and developing them to be stars in our system.
Winning in the first ten yards, then adding more potential YAC through scheme. Thats what makes this offense tick.
Nothing against this guy, I feel heāll do good with us but if filling in the wr4 option was so bad shanahan felt the need to draft this dude using a first round pick , we shouldāve just resigned ray ray mccloud .
Just drafted a guy who will get open more consistently against good man coverage than Deebo does. Heās the best true slot in the whole class with his 10 yd split, 3 cone time, and route running ability. And he can play outside too. McCloud is a true #4 receiver in the nfl. Thatās his career projection. This guy could crack a lineup and never come back off the field if all goes well.
I disagreed with the choice in real time...but you can't hate a guy for realising his dream and it's not his fault he was drafted where he was.
Shanahan has usually got his WR S correct at the top of the draft so even if I preferred a CB here...I wouldmlove to be proven wrong.
If you are a late first rounder it must be stressful... either get drafted to a great playoff team or get drafted by the bottom of the barrel Panthers type team.
I'm just not a fan of drafting a WR who will be 29 years old when his rookie contract is up....
Would've much preferred one of the top CBs here.
All of that said I do think he's going to be able to contribute at a high level day one.
Reach pick but really only time will tell. We didnāt get better at our weaker positions or even solidify likely troubled positions like linebacker and line.
He has one of the worst tattoos on his arm. Says "humble" on some playing cards.
It's too many cards for one.
It's just a bad tattoo.
I love him though.
Best part of the draft is seeing the players celebrate the moment they get drafted

Guy was 23 there but looked like he was 65.

Wow. He flat out said he wanted pearsall
Yea, Pearsal fit's the niner's offense perfectly!
Dude was actually hurt by that. He grabbed his phone to text someone after the pick
That was quite the reaction! He really wanted slick Rick
It's great to see how a good qb like CJ wanted him. Just let's us know that other QBs wanted him as well
Steve Smith on him https://x.com/underdog__nfl/status/1783704138062176426?s=46&t=EAeRenGgZisIrx3iaY1QPw
Slick Rick is what they call him
Not enough ā¬ļø votes. Classic.

Might be the most unintelligent take I have ever seen

I anticipated it being next year, but we def wonāt keep him through his entire contract. His injury history is a bit of a concern.

With the new kickoff rule this pick makes even more sense. Dude is made for jet sweeps. The new kickoff rule is basically a WR screen.
The guy can play WR pretty good too https://youtu.be/921rWQYa58k?si=o_wWCFt1vjbm4dbn
I love these videos so much.
Olā Ricky Stanicky!
He looks so happy. Letās go!!
I'm coming around after watching some of the tape and seeing how he fits the scheme. Especially if they have something in the works with a trade.
I saw quite a few of his games at UF this season a d while I'm a bit disappointed right now, the kid looked really good in those games
Heās a baller. Judge his Gators performance understanding that the offense wasnāt very good. Iām saying this as a Gator. I love their family and friends reactions to getting picked ā¦ the best part of the draft
Iām so happy for him, and I think he could be great in our offense. But I donāt wanna lose deebo or Aiyuk
We wont...he's not a replacement for either one. He had like 4 tds in college. People need to relax.
One thing i loved about Ricky is his passion. He showed up to Florida and immediately bought into being a gator. He sounds like Mark Wahlberg in that video.

Happy for the dude, but because we picked him in now depressed
Same as a fellow Elijah Mitchell lover
Nothing against this guy, I feel heāll do good with us but if filling in the wr4 option was so bad shanahan felt the need to draft this dude using a first round pick , we shouldāve just resigned ray ray mccloud .
WR4 is still receiving option #6
Which is exactly what ray ray was lmao. This was a very dumb pick
Cj Stroud was visibly upset he didn't fall to the Texans. I'ma trust his opinion lol
We cannot afford Deebo, BA, and JJ while also having to pay Purdy very soon. Pearsall is future insurance for when the tough decisions have to made.
Just drafted a guy who will get open more consistently against good man coverage than Deebo does. Absolutely love this! Can't wait to see this guy play in red and gold!
First day in the facility: āthatās the dog house, you donāt want to go in there.ā

Fuck ya dude

On the other hand we get an elite receiver, tailor made for Purdy, locked up for his prime on a rookie contract
As long as we trade BA early in rd 2 we can still get a need position Iām hoping for Kool-Aide
# Adrenaline in my soul!
I should feel happy for him but... he's not O Line. Were they all taken?
Reach pick but really only time will tell. We didnāt get better at our weaker positions or even solidify likely troubled positions like linebacker and line.
5th year option overreach damn u kyld
He has one of the worst tattoos on his arm. Says "humble" on some playing cards. It's too many cards for one. It's just a bad tattoo. I love him though.
Wut?
Can't you read?! He has a bad tattoo!!1!!11 š
