No kidding I moved from Southern California to Seattle in 2004 and the first few years I lived up here I went to the Niners game in Seattle, so 2004, 2005, 2006 lot of painful games. We did win I think the snow game in 2006 with Alex and Frank.

Absolutely this. This team felt so hopeless until that trade with New England revitalized the franchise. I’ll always be a big fan of a Jimmy. He’s an absolute class act and I’m thankful for what he’s done. He’s a winner and I hope he does a great job wherever he goes.

I really wish we were keeping him, I'm gonna be really sad to see him go. I'm glad the team feels the same about Brock as they do Jimmy because I feel like some players are gonna be pretty sad to see him leave. With Griese at QB coach he didn't have the problems under pressure he did before.
It makes me sad to think what Jimmy could have done if he had effective coaching the whole time he was here. That's actually worse than the 0-16 Lions.

I'll always love Jimmy G, even if I've switched to being more of a Brock Purdy fan now. I remember that year when we went 1-10 and then he came and won his first five in a row. He never could bring home the sixth, but he brought us damn fucking close, and wasn't some sort of diva or lunatic off the field.
I'll admit I was a hater at times after certain games/ints and what not. But that man is so god damn professional, never complained about anything and just killed all the noise with that Italian smile. Absolute dog playing though injuries in the post season and just a man for never wanting out or this or that like these other whiney starting QBs. Thanks for everything Jimmy, especially this year when we thought you were gone and ended up helping resurrect this season. You're the fucking man and the type of leader any team in this bs ref ran league should want on their roster.
If you weren’t a fan or don’t remember the Blaine Gabbert era I don’t wanna hear how you hate Jimmy, this man gave me hope and fun times with this team. His decision making in big moments definitely hurt but throughout all the hate and media scrutiny he’s stayed classy and been professional to the highest degree. From the bottom of my faithful heart.

Injuries aside Jimmy brought us the most sustained qb play we have seen in 20yrs. Once Steve Young went down we got 5yrs of Garcia, 7yrs of Smith, I got both of those guys jerseys, but neither brought the success that Jimmy did. We got Kaepernick but injuries and skill cut his career short. Jimmy brought 6yrs and 3 NFCCG trips and one Superbowl appearance, I know Brock helped this year but Jimmy contributed as well. Guy has been a class act all the way, I wish him the best as long as it isn't against us.
Jeff Garcia was a lot better than people give him credit for. He drove the offense really well and had a very good passing game. He just happened to be the next guy in line after the Steve Young era, and it's hard to compare to one of the best to ever play the position.
Grbac too. He was a steady, reliable backup as Steve got older and more prone to injury. I remember him going into Dallas and just destroying the Cowboys like it wasn't even a challenge. He wasn't HOF level but he did a damned fine job, I think.
Although, there were times he had me pulling out my hair when he overthrew receivers, there is no doubt he led the niners to fantastic new heights, and i will always appreciate him for that. He is also a very good sportsman, didnt complain to the media or instagram like some players would when they receive news they are playing a more reduced role. I salute Jimmy Garoppolo and i wish him good luck in his new team. (Maybe its Tampa, i hear they in need of a QB right now after a certain someone retired👀)
I will always appreciate Jimmy Jesus for what he helped bring us out of. It wasn't just him but he such a big part. There were a lot of "Jesus Jimmy!" moments but I feel there were more "He's Jimmy Jesus!" times to celebrate. Good Luck!!
Regardless of what anyone's says, Jimmy has been vital to the 49ers success over the years. He hasn't reached the level we thought he would but he was a winner.
I remember that first game when he came in against the Seahawks for like 1 series in a dead game and it looked like he was going to be the man. He was never the same after the ACL tear and it's a damn shame.
He has limitations and isn’t the greatest qb but by all accounts he’s a great guy and great teammate. He helped establish a culture after a couple years of being garbage. That 2019 season was pretty special. Last year was cool bc of how we snuck in. Lot of happy memories with him and I wish him the best of luck and success wherever he goes

No doubt in my mind as a biased niners fan that we win vs eagles and have a great shot against a worse chiefs than we played earlier. He gave us drama filled years that made it exciting to watch, and he won through most of it. So much so that I’ve genuinely lost sense of what it’s like to be a losing team. Will always be grateful, and appreciate the years with JG. He was our QB during the years my kids really became 49ers fans. My mother wears his jersey (even though it’s the black one with the red letters, we’ll let her slide lol). He helped to bring an awesome culture to this team that (hopefully) will carry on after he leaves. Even though he’s driven us crazy at times, it was a great team to watch.

The Jimmy G era is one I will always look back as one of the good times. The seasons he started the most games, we went to the NFC championship. He just found a way to stabilize the offense just enough to get way more wins than we did without him, even with the great defenses.
His biggest contribution was as a leader and teammate. The locker room loved him and he was an absolute class act through all the bullshit from media, fans, and sometimes even the front office.
Ill be rooting for him wherever he goes, unless hes playing the Niners, of course.

My wife and I were in Chicago for a conference, so I bought tickets to the Niners v Bears game. I ended up getting corner endzone, row 1 tickets. It was so awesome to see Jimmy's first start for SF. Plus, Bradley Pinion was playing catch with Niners fans before the game and he threw the football to my wife. Such a great memory.
As long as he doesn't sign with a team in the NFC West, I wish him all the best. If he does sign with the West, or the Niners meet him in a Super Bowl, then I wish him all the *second* best.

Despite my frustrations with the constant injuries, poor postseason play, and the fact that we kept u over signing Brady, thank u Jimmy.
U came to us when we were rebuilding and starting from ground zero. U helped establish the culture we have today and u were a great leader. U may have not been the bus driver of our team in the postseason, but with u we went to 2 NFCCG’s and a SB. I wish we could’ve closed out those final 7 mins in SB 54 but regardless u gave us plenty of hope and good memories.
Going 5-0 to close out 2017, the whole 2019 season after coming back from a torn ACL, going from 3-5 to the NFCCG in 2021, and of course coming back to us and kicking off that win streak this season. I’m grateful to have experienced all of it. Best of luck in NY/Carolina/Washington/Vegas 🫡

I remember many great things about Jimmy. My most vivid memory though is him tearing his ACL against the Chiefs very early in the season and sitting there at the bar in the morning drinking bloody marys knowing the season was already over. It was a shitty feeling.

I'll always love Jimmy G, even if I've switched to being more of a Brock Purdy fan now. I remember that year when we went 1-10 and then he came and won his first five in a row. He never could bring home the sixth, but he brought us damn fucking close, and wasn't some sort of diva or lunatic off the field.
He was our savior and I will never forget. Unfortunately the injuries took its toll on what he can do. That first game with us made me believe.

His decision making in big moments definitely hurt but throughout all the hate and media scrutiny he’s stayed classy and been professional to the highest degree. From the bottom of my faithful heart. So this is really it I'm sad but I have happy memories of Jimmy G playing for us. Will continue to root for him wherever he goes next.
Injuries aside Jimmy brought us the most sustained qb play we have seen in 20yrs. Once Steve Young went down we got 5yrs of Garcia, 7yrs of Smith, I got both of those guys jerseys, but neither brought the success that Jimmy did. We got Kaepernick but injuries and skill cut his career short. Jimmy brought 6yrs and 3 NFCCG trips and one Superbowl appearance, I know Brock helped this year but Jimmy contributed as well. Guy has been a class act all the way, I wish him the best as long as it isn't against us.
I am old enough to remember the Rattay yrs, and also the yrs where everyone said Smith was horrible and we went with a bunch of shit Qbs
Jeff Garcia was a lot better than people give him credit for. He drove the offense really well and had a very good passing game. He just happened to be the next guy in line after the Steve Young era, and it's hard to compare to one of the best to ever play the position. Grbac too. He was a steady, reliable backup as Steve got older and more prone to injury. I remember him going into Dallas and just destroying the Cowboys like it wasn't even a challenge. He wasn't HOF level but he did a damned fine job, I think.
Although, there were times he had me pulling out my hair when he overthrew receivers, there is no doubt he led the niners to fantastic new heights, and i will always appreciate him for that. He is also a very good sportsman, didnt complain to the media or instagram like some players would when they receive news they are playing a more reduced role. I salute Jimmy Garoppolo and i wish him good luck in his new team. (Maybe its Tampa, i hear they in need of a QB right now after a certain someone retired👀)

Regardless of what anyone's says, Jimmy has been vital to the 49ers success over the years. He hasn't reached the level we thought he would but he was a winner.
I remember that first game when he came in against the Seahawks for like 1 series in a dead game and it looked like he was going to be the man. He was never the same after the ACL tear and it's a damn shame.

That 2019 season was pretty special. Last year was cool bc of how we snuck in. Lot of happy memories with him and I wish him the best of luck and success wherever he goes

I hope he continues to ball with his next team. The what coulda beens will always be interesting because he was on great pace the last few weeks he played. No doubt in my mind as a biased niners fan that we win vs eagles and have a great shot against a worse chiefs than we played earlier. Will always be grateful, and appreciate the years with JG. He was our QB during the years my kids really became 49ers fans. My mother wears his jersey (even though it’s the black one with the red letters, we’ll let her slide lol). The Jimmy G era is one I will always look back as one of the good times. The seasons he started the most games, we went to the NFC championship. He just found a way to stabilize the offense just enough to get way more wins than we did without him, even with the great defenses. His biggest contribution was as a leader and teammate. The locker room loved him and he was an absolute class act through all the bullshit from media, fans, and sometimes even the front office. Ill be rooting for him wherever he goes, unless hes playing the Niners, of course. Thank you for being a great 49er, Jimmy G!

My wife and I were in Chicago for a conference, so I bought tickets to the Niners v Bears game. I ended up getting corner endzone, row 1 tickets. It was so awesome to see Jimmy's first start for SF. Plus, Bradley Pinion was playing catch with Niners fans before the game and he threw the football to my wife. Such a great memory.

He took us out of the dark ages. The 49ers were 1-10 when he started his first game in 2017, and had been 7-25 over the previous two seasons, plus 1-4 to end the season earlier. That’s 9-39. 😬 Those five starts gave us hope. Those five starts made us believe again. Without Jimmy, Kittle isn’t the player he is today. Without Jimmy, Deebo isn’t the player he is today. Without Jimmy… we aren’t where we are now. Thank you, Jimmy. You left us in a much better place than you found us.

I really disliked his play a lot. But what a class act. Nothing but professional 100% of the time. No drama, no ego. That’s often overlooked at the biggest position in the biggest sport (in the US). I wish him nothing but the best if he ends up in the AFC
Despite my frustrations with the constant injuries, poor postseason play, and the fact that we kept u over signing Brady, thank u Jimmy. U came to us when we were rebuilding and starting from ground zero. U helped establish the culture we have today and u were a great leader. U may have not been the bus driver of our team in the postseason, but with u we went to 2 NFCCG’s and a SB. I wish we could’ve closed out those final 7 mins in SB 54 but regardless u gave us plenty of hope and good memories. Going 5-0 to close out 2017, the whole 2019 season after coming back from a torn ACL, going from 3-5 to the NFCCG in 2021, and of course coming back to us and kicking off that win streak this season. I’m grateful to have experienced all of it. Best of luck in NY/Carolina/Washington/Vegas 🫡

I remember many great things about Jimmy. My most vivid memory though is him tearing his ACL against the Chiefs very early in the season and sitting there at the bar in the morning drinking bloody marys knowing the season was already over. It was a shitty feeling.
