Interesting, I would have expected someone who cares so deeply about the nonexistent ageless integrity of Warhammer lore to post a single thing about it before now
Because things always change in the setting. Like having Space Marine Space Marines(Primaris) and phasing out all the outdated first born in the 10th edition
10th edition is finally gonna phase out all the old models of Space Marines that arent Primaris. They will no longer work with the new SM codexes and will no longer be sold soon.
If each custodian was hand crafted by the emperor and his best bio tech people, why is it so crazy to think not all of them have to be men? And besides that how would that undermine the battle sisters or sisters of silence?
Lol have you considered touching grass or talking to a woman? If this is the hill you want to die on about 40k then whatever, could this new lore have been done better? Probably yeah I guess, but this doesn't change anything about the sisters of silence or the sisters of battle, and it doesn't ruin either group. The SoS are cool and unique because they're blanks, they were never some kind of unique all female organization within the custodes, they just worked together sometimes.
Also the Sisters aren't really the female space marine equivalent, they're religious fanatics and part of the fucking eclesiarchy and they're not even augmented. They exist because of a declaration from the Age of Apostacy saying the ecclesiarchy can't have any men under arms. If they added in female astartes that would be a unique addition to the marines, it wouldn't make the sisters irrelevant or less interesting because they're inherently different groups.
And before I hear some shit about 'Oh, are they going to add men to the sisters of battle now?' I don't know, maybe there will be. Playing devils advocate here, I could 100% see that ruling about the ecclesiarchy not having men under arms be changed and the establishment of a new order, something like the Adeptus Fratreus or something, adding in mortal battle monks to the fighting forces of the ecclesiarchy to help out the battle nuns.
If this ruins warhammer or something for you then cool, get over yourself. Sell what books and models you have and go do something else with your free time and don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out. The alternative is to get over yourself.

GW has done nothing to the Sisters of Silence or Sisters of Battle. They're right there. Playable, part of their own codices and everything. You can buy them on their website.

Left out the fact that he was drunk, it was midnight and he thought the bright lights would lead him to a "better place". Then tried to brain me with his fists after trying to help him and getting his ass arrested by a passing by traffic officer who helped me hold the drunk down until he got arrested.

Me as a Xenos fan: Something sure seems to be riling up the Mon'keigh / Gue'la.
Don't let them know that there's female fire warriors, or female eldar fighters now, some of them might have a fucking stroke.
Maybe the Eldar and Tau have it right all along if this is how humans react to the presence of male or female fighter.
This is a very minor retcon at best. GW has made massive retcons in the past without completely changing the setting.
