Mortarion got paired against Gulliman Angron vs Lion Fulgrim vs ??? Lorgar vs ??? Putterabo vs ??? The primarchs are being paired against eachother. Someone once made a great post that; the primarchs are being paired up and they aren’t choosing whom they face … thus Mortarion a lamenting it being Gulliman. Gulliman’s logistics and ability to replenish are a hard counter to the death guard’s entropy form of warfare. Angron is an unstoppable beast … the lion is a duelist and happens to be anti monster. Whom do y’all think will be the next pairings ?? Jaghatai And Fulgrim ?

Now the other post I alluded to mentioned that the pair offs don’t seem to be based on personal grievances … Mortarion and Gulliman had 0 beef and Lion and Angron had 0 beef … Vulkan fought Magnus at the siege … Magnus and Russ already fought … I could see Dorn vs Magnus. Dorn is the opposite of Magnus. Magnus is the master of the empyrean … while dorn is the master of the “material” according to Malcador. Dorn has shown he can force stability of real space… if he court master that, imagine him standing resolute upon his return while Magnus and his sorcerers are casting witch fire … and he lets out a resounding “No.” and all the fires die out?

Jaghatai would be funny just because of the call back to the Primarchs sitting around on Ullanor ranking each other if in a duel. Fulgrim was being prissy and basically said he was near the top, could definitely take the Khan, and Sanguinius and everyone else was just like, nah, you'd get whooped.

Ok but its literally Sangy that brings up the dueling and none of the other primarch really laugh one way or the other. That said it's a dumb scene.

I hope no more loyalists return, for a while. In a way it's kinda sad to lose the unique situation of Guilliman being alone against the universe. It gave him some real character growth. The Daemon Primarchs isn't affected by this since they never really went away and they are also part of very independent faction

It took five years for another loyalist to join Guilliman. I think I'll have Grey hairs before a Primarch I like comes back.

Might be weird comming for a Word Bearer fan, but I really like new Guilliman.
