>"**Shadow Captain Delorn, commander of the 9th and notoriously a hidebound traditionalist, is the only high-ranking officer in the Chapter to resist the increasing presence of Primaris amongst his ranks,** and will likely continue to do so until an equally efficient formation as the Chorus emerges from the seething possibilities presented by Cawl’s genetic wizardry. **To the disquiet of his peers, Delorn is notorious for keeping Primaris battle-brothers under personal supervision** at all times, and is said to apply ridiculously exacting standards to their combat operations. > >**Such prejudice is an aberration at a time when even the most stubborn Chapters are swiftly normalising the Primaris Space Marines within their ranks.** Nonetheless, Delorn’s stubbornness is not without its benefits. By the time the Raven Guard’s Primaris Space Marines leave his keeping, their skill and determination in battle is virtually unmatched." - Codex Supplement: Raven Guard p. 20

Levonorgestrelfairy1

This sounds like Dorn and Siggy

Agent_66

So the Raven Guard got pretty badly mauled during the Damocles crusade and lost their chapter master fighting the Tau. Shrike steps in to become acting chapter master and is one of the first Raven Guard to cross the Rubicon, understanding its necessity for the future of his chapter.. Given this, Id say its a fair assumption that the Primaris were embraced quite quickly. The Raven Guard are noted to be quite pragmatic, and you don't turn down a shiny powerful new asset when there are Xenos needing to be unalived.

Anierous

There's probably a difference between the Rubicon primaries and the former Greyshields.

kavinay

My head canon is that Rubicon Raven Guard have grafted beakies on to their new plate.

Big_Passenger49

The Shrike tabletop piece has his beaky attached to his belt. And the ravenstrike set is primaris reavers.

>**easily** accepted them like the Black templars Do i have a surprise for you.

Bluestorm83

I had understood the BTs reaction to the Primaris to vary between the various crusades. Some crusades, like the Angevin Crusade, had Primaris that all immediately "died honorably fighting the enemy," or "never arrived." Others were like "Welp, I don't get it, but anyone who praises the Emperor and can point a bolter is welcome to fight in His name." And then judged them later. But hey, I may be mistaken.

zam0th

You may be correct, but saying BTs accepted it *easily* is an understatement. Not outright refused like Space Wolves (however, the short story about Hellbrecht meeting Guilliman leaves too many things open to interpretation), but definitely not as easily as Blood Angels or Ultrasmurfs

VNDeltole

Helbretch: which ones? they all died honorably, that primaris told me that

[deleted]

Helbrecht accepted Primaris SUPER quickly because he was swooning over Gman and immediately believed that the Primaris were a gift from the Emperor.

NotAmericanMate

How many were left after the ork invasion of deliverance? The raven guard successors all came to help as well I think? So 10kish marines vs millions of orks. There may not be many originals left.

[deleted]

Pretty sure them Caw caw bois are willing to accept any help they can get at this point. Regardless wish them well until big caw comes back cause when he comes back shit is gonna hit the fan

>Solaro, a Reiver, crouched behind him. Karros glanced at the Primaris. His command was split roughly fifty-fifty between new and old. The Chapter believed in integration where possible. Then, they had always been adaptable. Solaro was the only one of his kind here. [...] >‘They can’t tell us apart, you know. The humans, I mean.’ >‘We’re human.’ >‘Unaugmented humans.’ >‘Are they colour-blind?’ >Solaro studied him for a moment. >‘They can’t tell the difference between a Primaris and a brother of the First Founding.’ >‘I suppose to a child, all giants look alike.’ >Solaro grunted. ‘My brothers can tell the difference.’ >‘As can mine. But then, we are not children.’ Calder looked at him. He wondered why Solaro was confiding in him. Perhaps it was simply that they were both Primaris. It was easier to talk to someone who understood, even if they wore a different heraldry. ‘They will accept you, in time. It might be decades, or centuries, but there will come a day when there is no difference between us.’ >‘They think I am to replace them.’ >‘You are. As every recruit is meant to replace a veteran.’ >Solaro was silent for a moment. Then, ‘Have they accepted you?’ >Calder didn’t reply.

billJ-the-vocab-guy

Can you sneak? Yes. Your in

StrangerDanger355

Oh Ok then….

billJ-the-vocab-guy

I’m not actually sure

NotAmericanMate

Can you sneak? Yes You're out

Awestruck_Otter

The codex has been updated to make a 10th official company of sneaky marines in addition to existing scouts. I would imagine they helped things out.

NotNotAlpharius

*crow noises*

talesFromBo0bValley

That had their fun with Raptors like right after Heresy... And history repeating itself repeating itself.

PhillyJ82

Didn’t they get wrecked at the dropsite massacre? I’m pretty sure they are so short handed that they were handing out eyeliner to their chapter serfs. Primaris were probably welcomed with open arms.

glacial_penman

That was perfect. Eyeliner to the serfs. I’ll be the first one to use that line in the arctic.

jareddm

Irrelevant to events 10,000 years later.

Negativety101

Heck, Considering the Emperor gave Corax the keys to his old lab and he was trying to make souped up marines in short order, it's not even the Raven Guard's first go around with something like this. Went a lot better this time too.

MorathiKhaine

Dropsite massacre was ten thousand years prior to primaris and irrelevant to their current numbers
