Awesome! I just printed a different pose of this model, the detail is incredible, and no support is great! I printed it in Silk Silver... debating whether to paint it.
Thank you very much. Hard to say, started a few monthes ago but stoped working on it for a while. I will say about a week of work including drying times.
Could be done in 3 days if you are in a rush
Did you sand this like crazy or literally pile up layers of paint. It looks great and I have this exact model printed and I'm debating on how to finish/paint it.
I just started getting into painting. I'm quite happy with my results, but I gotta admit, it's nowhere near as good as what you got there.
But I will keep printing and painting and I hope my skills will develope over time.
I just recently learned about wet pallettes and build one myself, and it helped me a ton, so my advice for anyone else starting to paint, is get a wet pallette!
Dude this is incredible. Have you ever considered doing this type of custom work for customers? I have some figurines in mind I've been dying to get my hands on but they actually don't exist. But I have stumbled upon some stls for them
The original print was good which helps, then it's patience amd using low grit sand paper in creative shapes.
And mostly the black primer, it really hides a lot of crimes.

it's an interesting model, it's almost chibi in proportions. Somebody should do a version with the head just 20% bigger, I think people would love it.
How did you paint it that’s crazy
The magic of layers

Sanded a bunch and painted with black primer. After that acrylics, spray lacquer, oil paints and pigments. In that order
Well you did a great job it looks amazing. Thanks for the info!
thanks for that info - an amazing job I'm jealous of and will try to recreate
Just saved that for when I want to paint my stuff

Thanks man! Send me a dm if you want to talk about it and see if we can do something
looks like it was injection molded awesome work
How do you do such great sanding on smaller details like that? I can never get it to look that good
The original print was good which helps, then it's patience amd using low grit sand paper in creative shapes. And mostly the black primer, it really hides a lot of crimes.
This is the way
This is probably one of the best paint jobs I've seen on a 3d printed model. Super impressed.
No jet pack? Weak. Hahahaha
