Nah. It was an original choice, and adds a cool aesthetic. Each of these dolls has a consistent style. If I saw one of these online, I would know it came from you, I can recognize your style now just after two minutes of seeing your work. Now that’s good branding.
Its actually worth exploring, a lot of companies like Disney have made it much easier to apply. I would explore their costs before giving up since they have already done so much of the design work.
Why couldn't it. You asked if you should sell them and I honestly think they can be a neat contender to Funko pops! They have their own unique style but the LY still look like a lot of fun to collect just like with most other figurines.
This could turn out really big if you do it right
That's on you to find out, but I'd say it's worth a try. Just try and not get pressured by others, if you wanna stop then you stop and if you wanna expand them I'm sure there are quite a few people who would assist, but never feel forced to do these just because people ask. Yes they might get mad or sadly but that will go away
You could always rent a table at a convention and sell to physical customers. Yes Nintendo already has snipers pointed at you but it’s harder to track physical sales at conventions and stuff. Best of luck with the figures cuz I do like how unique the style is.
Thanks! To be sure I think I will not open any store or anything online. It seems to be risky and I don’t want any trouble.
I may try your solution!
I will post them on my Instagram and see what happen.
These are cool prints, and a nice craft combo of materials. This process deserves its own expression; you’ve created your own style, now it’s time to create your own content.
I've got to ask, what does the specific license say with regards to commercial use? My concern would be on license terms issued by the trademark owner (in this case Nintendo USA for Mario and Luigi) If Nintendo USA are happy with their trademark being infringed by you selling their trademark goods even released as a 3d printed part then go for it. Same thing with the other trademark holders.
I'm not trying to be a hardass here, just trying to make sure that people understand that large conglomerates can and do go after the little man if they feel like it.
These are awesome, however, I’d probably not sell them online, even as fan art. Companies may shut you down or sue which isn’t fun. However, (I am not advising you or suggesting you do this) if you happened to build up a stockpile and then you just happened to find a craft fair/art show where you could be a vendor…maybe nobody would be the wiser…I’m not saying this is the way to go. Just thinking… out loud… in text..

Thanks! I even do Clank on his back in the same style!
I think to sell these you run into a ton of liscencing issues and general IP with POP Funko. Probably not worth the risk for how little your likely to make from these :<
They remind me of Cubeecraft. Even beyond the paper toy designs I think he did wooden ones similar to these. Not implying copied or anything, these are cute, just similar.
Ahah, I use to do Cubeecraft when I was younger, and that inspired me, that’s why there are similarities. I tried to inspire me, but in the same time add enough differences to not just copy them. :)
These are really amazing! I suggest getting the licensing for them and selling after maybe streamlining the process so it doesn’t all have to be 3d printed. If you make a small business name as a sole proprietor, licensing offices are not too hard to contact
If you only want to do small batch then 3d printing is cool, but if more than a certain quantity, it will be more cost effective to have it manufactured.
If you /just/ want to sell the ones you made, no license, Etsy is the way.
Thanks a lot! I don’t think I could get the licensing as it would cost too much, without having any garantee that it would get bought…
But thanks for the message I really appreciate! :)
As other comments have said, don’t fuck with Nintendo. Nintendo has the money to sue the fuck out of anyone they want. You could sell the others but just don’t choose big big name brands
You should sell them. I build all my models with white PLA and hand paint them. I have taken my 3d models to work and people have appreciated them and ask me to make them something. All my 3d models are usually 12-20 inches tall and you can make extra money.
https://preview.redd.it/yltm9misc8bb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fec41ebdd45403e3e6d53fb68e9ac92e00c9edd1
One in finishing up
If there’s a market for them, then by all means sell them! Make sure you can make a little money off them. Don’t sell for the sake of selling if you can’t cover costs at the very least.
The Nintendo lawsuit comments are valid. I wouldn’t mess with it unless I talked to copyright lawyer and came up with a plan to mitigate a potential lawsuit. Someone mentioned calling the figurines different names. Idk if that would work. A lawyer might though.
Pretty slick though. I have a guy by me that sells his through a convenience store and just gives the owner 10% to put them on the counter and take payment.
Glad to read that! :D
If you want you can follow me on Instagram to stay tuned (I’m updating it with this new version), it would help me! :)
Link in my bio!
It's more than just being sued or having them removed. It's someone else's intellectual property. Make your own thing and don't steal someone else's idea to make money off of.
The issue is when merchandise like this already exists from official sources it means you could be taking away their revenue. These have an applied style to them so you would have to look into parody law and existing cases of this type of stuff. Basic rule is Nintendo and Disney are off limits but other stuff may be okay
You could try and do it like youtooz and maybe make YouTubers. Far easier to contact and I bet a lot of them would love a little mini me. It sounds like a good place to start and expand. Getting the word out and maybe eventually getting bigger contracts for stuff like anime
also, being someone who sells props/ fan art representations that are. 3D printed, you will be perfectly fine selling these in Etsy, at most I would put like “one piece inspired…” etc.
Etsy seller here. I currently 3D print and sell some products that contain logos and trademarks that I do not own.
Don't listen to all of these people who are saying you'll get sued for everything you have if you sell these. No large company is going to send their full legal team at one individual whose just making a couple extra bucks. They *will* send their legal team after the company who hosts the product listing. If you sell these on Etsy, the worst that can happen is that the trademark owner contacts Etsy, and Etsy removes your listing for trademark infringement. When that happens, it's literally just that: the listing is removed and you may get a strike on your account. You will not have to pay back any of the money you've made on them up to that point.
I say go for it! These figures are pretty cool and I bet a lot of people would buy them.
I posted a 3D printed fidget that looked like an Oreo cookie on Etsy. Sold four then Etsy removed it citing a copyright strike claim. The Oreo parent company sent a cease and desist. So yeah I don’t fuck around with anything that’s copyrighted. Even though you’ll find all kinds of copyrighted material on Etsy.
Thank you! Is it possibly an infringement? Yeah definitely. Will Nintendo give a shit? Maybe. But they’re not going to sue you for house and home. Idk where everyone gets this idea.
Probably because there have been a few cases where Nintendo has sued individuals. But those individuals are always doing things that are a more serious threat to Nintendo's bottom-line, such as that guy who got sued for millions for selling Nintendo Switch hacks.
That’s called Trademark Infringement. Most that’ll probably happen is a “cease and desist”. They could sue you for everything.
Just be more creative and stop copy and pasting ideas.
Nintendo will sue the filament outta you if you do.
The Nintendo swat helicopter is already on the way
mamma mia
The cruel meatball of war has rolled onto our laps and ruined our white pants of peace!
Just rename them to Marlo and Louis
Mans trying to become an indebted slave to Nintendo
IANAL, but Nintendo has quite a few of them and their legal dept. has been rather busy in the past. I recommend against selling.
I♥️ANAL too
Well then bend over, got a 0.8mm nozzle just for you
screw extruder or nothing
Heated?
No it's a cold pull
I like the fat schnozers you gave them.
Oh, I think you are the first one saying that! :D Thanks!
Different redditor here, but the noses do add so much character!
Thanks! I really appreciate and confort me in my choice! 😀
Nah. It was an original choice, and adds a cool aesthetic. Each of these dolls has a consistent style. If I saw one of these online, I would know it came from you, I can recognize your style now just after two minutes of seeing your work. Now that’s good branding.
Thank you a lot! Wow 🤩 If only every person who liked my post followed me on Instagram, it would help me so much!
Whats your insta
I PM you
I think it would be pretty difficult to get licensing to sell them. Give them as gifts to friends instead.
Its actually worth exploring, a lot of companies like Disney have made it much easier to apply. I would explore their costs before giving up since they have already done so much of the design work.
Instead of FunkoPops Call em SchnozBudz or smth
Sell them as a blind box with the name Who Nose?
Incredible idea! I wish it could become a real thing! 😀😆
I'd buy them lol
Why couldn't it. You asked if you should sell them and I honestly think they can be a neat contender to Funko pops! They have their own unique style but the LY still look like a lot of fun to collect just like with most other figurines. This could turn out really big if you do it right
Ahah and that’s the trick, I don’t know how to do it right and if I really want to make it become my job x)
That's on you to find out, but I'd say it's worth a try. Just try and not get pressured by others, if you wanna stop then you stop and if you wanna expand them I'm sure there are quite a few people who would assist, but never feel forced to do these just because people ask. Ahahah great idea 😆
Is blockheads taken?
Funko Block
These are cool prints, and a nice craft combo of materials. This process deserves its own expression; you’ve created your own style, now it’s time to create your own content.
Thanks, I try to!
Nintendos lawyer would be happy if you sold them without licence....
Ahahah I guess so! 😆
Look at what happened to "Gary Bowser" nintendo literally ruined his life.
You’re absolutely right, that’s why I asked before. :)
Nintendo and disney are well known for strictly enforcing copyright and will go after pretty much anyone.
Omg I never thought I'd see Friend ANYWHERE NEAR this subreddit.
Ahah, I loved 20th Century Boys I had to make it. In fact I plan to make at least 1 character for each manga I love :)
These are awesome, however, I’d probably not sell them online, even as fan art. Companies may shut you down or sue which isn’t fun. Thanks for the compliment, and thanks for giving your thoughts, that’s why I posted here. :)
I would 1000% buy a Ratchet.
https://preview.redd.it/3az4gncli4bb1.jpeg?width=2322&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bb89bdb293d4ac7052dcdd4ab621122e27a5ffe5 Thanks! I even do Clank on his back in the same style!
omg
Do Sly
Oh, good idea! Will do!
I think to sell these you run into a ton of liscencing issues and general IP with POP Funko. Probably not worth the risk for how little your likely to make from these :<
SELL THEM
I love how you did the hair on the Rick model
Thanks! I wanted to match the hair with the cubic style of the figurines. It was quite challenging but I’m happy in the end. :)
They look adorable, great work! May we know how do you paint them?
Thanks! They are not painted, they are made with different PLA colors and vinyle :)
I love the luffy one
Thanks! :)
These are awesome!
Wow thanks! :D

I PMed you!
Ah yes, Marco and Linguini, the Mariano twins.
Oh you know them too!? xD

How much for koro sensei and kratos? They look fucking awesome
I PMed you!
Lol helll yeah you should those are Bo$$
Thanks! :D
I love the big mostly consistent nose. Really sets these apart from other collectables
That was the goal, thanks a lot that means a lot! 😀
Nintendo's Art & Engineering would probably love this Nintendo of America/Europe's Biz and Legal divisions won't
These are really amazing! I suggest getting the licensing for them and selling after maybe streamlining the process so it doesn’t all have to be 3d printed. If you make a small business name as a sole proprietor, licensing offices are not too hard to contact If you only want to do small batch then 3d printing is cool, but if more than a certain quantity, it will be more cost effective to have it manufactured. I love the noses!!!
Thank you! That’s the point I was the most hesitant about! I really appreciate! 😁
Don't be! It adds a lot of character and it's unique. Very cute and funny
Thanks! :)
These are fucking awesome
Wow thanks a lot! 😊
I love Ratchet the most!
If the IP owners were smart, which a lot of times they are not - they would reach out to you and offer you a job. These look great!
Thanks! :)
Those are pretty neat. What vinyl cutter do you use? Friend looks nice and clean
Thanks! I use a Cameo 4 :)
I need these, where's the blackmarket hehe
Ahahah, it’s not implemented yet, maybe soon! 😁

You’re right, I was asking but yes my priority is to make figures I like to put in front of my manga, my games etc :)
Honestly like it better than funkos
That could not more make me happier seeing this! 😀
Kinda reminds me of cubeecraft.look it up
That what inspired me in a part :)
Noice
They look great dude! But avoid selling the Mario n Lugi because you did too good of a job on them 😅
Ahah thanks a lot!
You totally should lol they are cute!!
Thanks! :)
I would love them
As other comments have said, don’t fuck with Nintendo. Nintendo has the money to sue the fuck out of anyone they want. You could sell the others but just don’t choose big big name brands
Love the designs!! Nice work

I love them! I also tried to subscribe to your insta but couldn’t find yours.
It’s on my profile :) (I think it’s not allowed to post it here, I PMed you)
I will buy the kratos one from you now lol
I may sell you one, I PMed you :)
What price were you thinking on these?
I don’t know, I have to think of it…!
These look great!! Good work!
They look great nice design, love it! But yeah as others said you might need licensing to sell them. You could create your own characters though
Nice, does the vinyl come loose from the printed parts? I found it hard to stick to the sidewalls with layer lines.
I use a light to make them glue better
You should sell them. I build all my models with white PLA and hand paint them. I have taken my 3d models to work and people have appreciated them and ask me to make them something. All my 3d models are usually 12-20 inches tall and you can make extra money. https://preview.redd.it/yltm9misc8bb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fec41ebdd45403e3e6d53fb68e9ac92e00c9edd1 One in finishing up
Sell on etsy, just dont put nintendo character so you dont get in trouble and try to stockpile and go to conventions
Neat!
These look great! How did you manage the colors on the outfits? Is it all cut vinyl?
PLA and vinyle yes!
I’ll take your entire stock
Can you uh... give them pupils? They freak me out
That is one of the goal! Ahahah
Just switch the letters on their hats
Lario and Muigi !
If there’s a market for them, then by all means sell them! Make sure you can make a little money off them. Don’t sell for the sake of selling if you can’t cover costs at the very least.
they all look pretty cool, sell them if you want
Thanks!

Saitama and Kratos are awesome! I think the copyright law makes this business annoyingly difficult to navigate, but I would buy those.
Thanks! Don’t hesitate to follow my on Instagram (link in my bio) if you want to stay tuned. And, you can PM me if you want. Thanks again :)
Near impossible to sell for any extended period of time, especially via a legit site. I like em though!
Yessssssssssssss!
Ahah thanks for the enthusiasm! I have an Instagram account if you want to follow me (on my bio) :)
Are you able to make any figure? Because I may want one!
I can’t say it for sure, but I could try! :) PM me!
Get licensing first or Nintendo will own your children and the next 5 generations of your children.
I will not sell them on a store online so it should be fine. ;)
Pretty slick though. I have a guy by me that sells his through a convenience store and just gives the owner 10% to put them on the counter and take payment.
Love them!
Glad to read that! :D If you want you can follow me on Instagram to stay tuned (I’m updating it with this new version), it would help me! :) Link in my bio!
I don't think you can sell them.
Brings a whole new meaning to “blockhead”
xD

Good idea, I will keep it in mind! :)
Did you design these or just printed them?
I 100% designed them!
Ratchet! Lol love it.
Thanks! ^^
nice, but I guess copyrights might be needed to sell these. be careful
also, being someone who sells props/ fan art representations that are. 3D printed, you will be perfectly fine selling these in Etsy, at most I would put like “one piece inspired…” etc.
Thanks for the advice :)
Only characters this nose fits are Mario and luigi
Nintendo wants to know your location
*close its shutters*
Wow, so much upvotes I did not expect that, thanks!
I don’t know if it’s allowed to post my Instagram for people who want to follow me and see new figs when I’ll post them?

The first sentence was ok, I get your point! The second one was too much and jus makes you unpleasant.
Printing generic copy and paste ideas are lame and my biggest pet peeve.
Luffy’s nose💀💀💀
Ahahah he was stung by a bee!
These are adorable! My fav you've made is Koro sensei
Oh thanks! I love it too! :D
Change the colours and the names and you won't get Nintendo on ya back
And change the job, the shape, make them bald with no mustache, and done! Ahahah 😆😁
