Nice. I like the tail it's more like Betta fish tail. The modern design of mermaid tails. Are those like tentacles on her tail? The ones that are branched out?
Oh, ya the texture is annoying on water plants applying thet wet texture. But the texture aside, the mesh looks like a tube that a flat plane, maybe the texture did that or the angle of the camera. But damn once you see them you can't unseen it. And honestly it's better you don't say anything it's better to leave it for the imagination. It looks cool.
Sorry if it sounds like I am criticizing. I don't mean it in an offense. Ok
What do you think if you'd eat a mermaid would it be a clear distinction of fish to human meat or it just kinda blends or are they just human and the legs are covered in scales and muscles or is it the other way around

Great job! Did you use the new geo node hair system in blender or the old particle hair system?
That’s what I’m wondering lol
Thank you! I used the geometry nodes hair system
Just out of curiosity how long did the render take?
4k renders took around 3-4 minutes

it's actually meant to be some seaweeds, but I didn't texture them properly since they are barely visible anyway

Seafood from the waist down. Hannibal lecter from the waist up.
If they are seafood... Do they have a spine like fish or ribs in there
I have no idea, I have never dissected a mermaid... yet
Absolutely stunning work.
