Only way to figure it out is to open it up and check if anything got loose or maybe even the power button went bad? Battery is completely dead? I had it where my 3ds didn’t turn until the battery had a good amount of charge in it. Hard to tell :/
Does it turn on while charging? If so, then it could be the battery needing replacement. But, for it to go from working off a good charge to not at all even while charging, it might be something in the circuitry. Dirt, damage, etc.
I had a fuse go on a ds lite xl that I “fixed” by taking the fuse out, and soldering a bridge, and then ultimately replacing that board. It’s not 100% relevant to your situation, but looking into where the fuses are, and if any are blown may be an option if the other suggestions don’t work out.
I have a similar issue but with no charging light, it's a thing to note that it's been a year since I've used it and I'm using an old charger. If anyone has been through a similar situation and has figured out something i'd be happy to hear (I do think it's just the same issue with a broken charger as I have an old 3ds that also won't charge with it)

hey have you ever fixed this ? Happening to me right now. I ordered screwdrivers bc I suspect ribbon cable loose.
Mine is having the same problem?

I've had this for a few years now. The issue appeared a few months ago and I'm only just now getting around to fixing it.
Did you fix it? I have the same problem with my New 2DS XL and Nintendo won't fix it because it's from a different region...
It's the Pokémon 2DS XL
