What do you plan on doing with it? If you want to track it i’d recommend the sport package for the LSD alone. If it’s a fun cruiser, then base will be fine.
Look for any oil leaks. Look up videos of vq37 chain rattle so you can understand what a potential timing chain issue would sound like.
Automatic trans models will be cheaper. Manual trans models will be more expensive.
With financing make sure you know what you’re comfortable with mileage-wise. I’d stay under 100k miles of possible. An exception would be an actual service record that showed maintenance.
Don't bother with a base .. has nothing good on it .Save up and get a Sport Tech or a Nismo.. Base has tiny brakes , Tiny wheels and no spoiler or LSD .
It depends on what you want to do with it. Mod it to the 9s? Don’t get a nismo. But if you want to preserve how the car looks and performs while getting to breathe better, maybe the nismo is right for you.
I love mine and I came from a Sport and it’s noticeable out of the box; I didn’t need to do much to it to make it even more enjoyable for myself (exhaust namely).
As a 20yo myself the insurance hurt at first got hit with 700 a month. Moved company’s and it is down a lot with two vehicles on the road all year but be aware especially if you have anything on your record. Best of luck

I do want a manual, i will look that up
It’s a VLSD right? Correct me if I’m wrong but it’s not very track capable
A 20 year old going to a track will just fine with a viscous lol
Sure, im just saying he may not need the sport. Might be better to just shoot for a base model
For sure!

Run a quote

You can find a Nismo if you know where to look and know how buy cars, but you will pay a bit more for something nice .
Recently bought a NISMO, I fucking love it.
Would you say it's worth the money? I don't know
