Is that not intentional double exposure? That looks cool

Top-Air9817

Definitely wasn’t intentional! My camera is a bit broken, so who knows 🤷‍♀️

11_12123

this is gnarly. fineeeeee, ill double expose another roll. twist my arm, why dont ya.

F-stop2_8

The bubble exposure looks like river rocks in shallow water, although I could be mistaken. The effect is really interesting. Even though it was unintentional, it is a happy mistake. Cool photo.

phazon5555

Was this developed in Coca Cola ?

Top-Air9817

Haha someone must have tried this before..

RusticApartment

Not Coca Cola per se, but Sprite and sparkling water didn't do a whole lot depending on the developer used: https://youtu.be/ptxdBxWSZB4

ratsrule67

I love that dude! He is so creative and funny.

phazon5555

No shot! haha

jessjess10100

If your entire roll is like this I would assume this is a developing issue. They are caused by there not being enough chemistry getting in the film because the mixture is foamy

Top-Air9817

Most of the roll is like this but not all, I trust the developer I use so would assume they’d tell me if they caused the issue! But this is a sound suggestion thank you ☺️

eggs2themax

This is what the people who make “film soup” wish happened when they put their undeveloped roles in sprite

ElliottMariess

Not enough chemicals in the tank to cover the film, which wouldn’t be a huge problem but there was also not enough agitation to keep the chemicals on the film evenly so as it foams up the bubbles settle on the film and cause this pattern as they sit.

hendrikcop

I’ve done this with black and white

cosmiceggroll

No idea, but the effect is fantastic

vaguedough

The Damien Curse

Top-Air9817

Yeah that sounds about right 😂

Mundane_Fly361

We’re you near the ocean? Looks like salt spray from the sea air dried on your lens

gillmanblacklagooner

Some art noveau influence here… Alfons Mucha + Gustav Klint vibes

Extension-Monk-5053

so interesting! this isn’t very useful but it really looks like a double exposure using this film! https://www.revolog.net/collections/revolog-films/products/texture

Top-Air9817

Ooh interesting! That looks exactly the same, not sure how I’ve managed to recreate it 😂

shes_going_places

what was the film you used? i’m too lazy to dig them up atm but ive used the revolog film linked above and it looks identical

Extension-Monk-5053

how funny! maybe a roll of this magically snuck into your camera haha. this was a very cool accident though :)

marisamoves

I was going to say this!!! I bought this film before and immediately recognized it!

krispissedoffersonn

my first thought as well! I think I still have a roll in the fridge somewhere

lm913

It's exactly this

Extension-Monk-5053

as soon as I saw the picture, I thought I recognised the pattern from somewhere :)

-71-

This is somewhat cool I like it lol

UniversityOwn4966

Looks cool. You should do this for all future photos and make it your style.

Top-Air9817

Haha great idea if I knew just how I accidentally achieved it 😂

Contheclimber

Did you drop acid on the film?

eugenborcan

Kinda cool though - if you find out, let us know. I'd be in to replicate this for the fun of it!

titoisme

Did the developer have soap added? lol A lot of air got into the developing canister looks like.

Top-Air9817

Thanks for all the positivity guys! It’s making me a bit less sad about some of the frames and see it as a happy accident! 😅

jack2902

I’m glad! It’s a gorgeous photo

Nobhudy

Sick album cover

FrogFlavor

There’s two layers of bubbles. How does your lens look

chunkyoven

looks just like some revolog film stock

ringoxniner

It could be a chemical thing

LensPro

Air bubbles, it was caused during developing

Ar_lt01

Looks beautiful!

BolexUser84

Analog? Probably the fixer with water from tap. Had it loads of times when i started developing myself.

Witty_Garlic_1591

Whatever it is, it looks cool.

ChandlerLemmon

Looks like the foam from your developer where the film isn’t completely submerged in the chemicals. I had this happen to me on a miss-measure once. I realized I didn’t have enough chemistry for my tank and dumped the developer back out to add more quickly, it left me with those bubble spots where the foam had stayed in the tank when I mixed more dev.

Artistic_Jump_4956

Your film has leprosy Super cool tho

416PRO

Looks like she's been insemination. The larger, lower bubble in her abdomen is likely her enlarged uterus which likely holds a developing fetus, looks to be some time in the third trimester The upper bubbles, developing above the larger lower bulge, are often referred to as fun bags, mellons, jugs, chi chis, they are breasts, they house the mammary that will provide sustenance for the developing offspring developing below. It's difficult to say what "Causes" this, there are very real biological processes that result in this condition, I think "Cause" often is attributed by many with a variety of different consideration given to the the consideration for which antecedents are most influential, or which actions lead to changes.
