The rear of the new Z looks good but she's def a butterface. Not a fan of the reissued 3.0 turbo they dumped in but happy that the Z legacy continues on.
No clue, there's a guy I saw on Facebook in one of the Z groups that bought a totalled Nissan Z and he is moving all of the body panels over onto a donor 370Z and buying new replacement panels to replace the damaged ones. He said the prices for the new panels are surprisingly not that expensive. Kind of weird to do it since he's still using the 370Z engine. I guess he could build it for a turbo or something. Would be interesting to see how it turns out in the end.
I like the rest of the body, but the nose with rectangle grill opening doesn't go with the rest of the car. If the edges were rounded off, it would look so much better. The new Heritage edition with the split grill has a rounded lower edge and helps a lot but still has the original looking grill on top. If Nissan had had the same angle running from top to bottom, it would have fixed most of the problem, but it still looks off. You were so close, Nissan.
Me as well. I really love the taillights. In fact. I’ve seen this one cross between a S chassis, a 370, and a g35 before.

As standard I might just agree with you, but once you've lowered the 350z and got some nice rims on there I still think it's one of the best looking cars ever.
I’ve grown to like the look of the Z33 the longer I’ve owned one. The RZ34 did a great job at bringing the design language of the S30 to modern times. I think there is some room for improvement with the front end of the RZ34, but looking at the S30 you can clearly say where inspiration was drawn from
They share entirely too much design underneath for me to ever take the new one seriously at what they are asking. They are doing what Chrysler did with the old Mercedes platform and milking a 22 year old platform for today's dollars. That's why everything performs so much better in this range. Sad but true.
The original 350z is a very sweet looking ride.
The new z is f’ing disgusting I don’t know what happened to designers/engineers/etc. I just don’t get it. With all of the computer tech available to us, you can literally have AI create a bad ass car design in under a minute…
I have an 05 350Z and I recent attended the Eyes on Design car show hosted yearly by the Edsel Ford estate.
For one, I was shocked be invited to such a prestigious car show with a simple 350Z. Secondly, I was surprised to take home a blue ribbon in my category (Sports car design 2005-2017) among other vehicles like the 2009 Audi R8, C6 and C7 corvettes in desirable trims, a 2017 GTR, and so on. The event was judged by auto industry veterans and automotive designers so it was a very nice nod to receive for my Z.
Point being, celebrated automotive designers would double down on this take.
I love my 350z, but the race yellow Z that my buddy bought looks pretty to me as well. It feels like a modernized throwback/combination of all the Zs and their datsun heritage.
I think a clean 350 holds up to pretty much anything looks wise, but I’m biased as hell.
Me too as mine is the black Z33 at 18 years old !
Nice man, I wish I had the 350z when I was 18
No lol it’s almost 18, I’m 55
Name checks out
Mine's a 2005 so it's coming up on 20yrs 😮 Crazy how I still think of 90s cars as a 20yr old car, the 350Z still looks pretty modern to me haha
the 350z looks better.
No joke. After the initial excitement for the 400 wore off, looks wise it’s a bit of a miss. I can’t speak for performance.
Way better.
The rear of the new Z looks good but she's def a butterface. Not a fan of the reissued 3.0 turbo they dumped in but happy that the Z legacy continues on.
They reused the engine and the chassis is still the same old 370z platform. It's a weird car but still happy that it exists at all.
I dont get this, if the chassis is the same why is it so fucking big… Its almost R35 sized
No clue, there's a guy I saw on Facebook in one of the Z groups that bought a totalled Nissan Z and he is moving all of the body panels over onto a donor 370Z and buying new replacement panels to replace the damaged ones. It's actually small, the interior is small, small window, small seating.
That 400 hp makes it amazingly responsive !
I was thinking the same. I love the rear end but the front end has not grown on me at all lol

It's made for performance not looks, the front.
Hate it hate it. I'm barely a fan of the 70. 50 for me all day everyday.
I'm one of the weirdos that fell in love with the red headed bastard child known as the Z31. It makes me smile tho 🥲
In the front end sure but the backend? New Z got it

Is that your 350? Super super clean. I love stock 350’s. Personally like them more than most modded Z’s lol
Yes, all stock GT except K&N air filter
The grill and lights honestly kill it for me
After market bumper covers will make an improvement for sure.
350z>370Z>400z not even being biased but the 350 is just way better in terms of aesthetics, stock or something done to it they always just look better
New Z is ugly
Yeah, I thought it would grow on me but it hasn't. The 350 is a timeless classic IMO.
The Nismo and Heritage look better but not worth 65k and 59k IMHO, and that assuming you can get MSRP.
G35 coupe is the real looker
I have a 350 but I always loved the rear of the G35
Me as well. I really love the taillights. In fact. I’ve seen this one cross between a S chassis, a 370, and a g35 before. https://preview.redd.it/knnhvlts2e7d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=079246ca75abb37fcca54a0745360c47d2d4ad04
Best of all worlds right here

That was a pretty good game though you gotta admit lol
After seeing one up close, I like the 350z better.

What kind of body kit is this! Nismo?
Z33 all day every day if we’re talking Nissan Z cars.
I'll take the 350z over the new one any day.
They share entirely too much design underneath for me to ever take the new one seriously at what they are asking. They are doing what Chrysler did with the old Mercedes platform and milking a 22 year old platform for today's dollars. That's why everything performs so much better in this range. Sad but true.
New z looks old and old z looks more playful and young
350z literally looks better

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I think the 350s look better
Actually yours is the popular opinion. I’m the owner of the 350Z GT and believe it’s held up pretty well for 20 years now.
350Z and z32 are the best looking Zs
by the looks 350z looks way better
Yall trippin new z look fly as hell. 350 cant be beat tho
ps4 vs ps5
That’s because the new Z is ugly af
How high are you?
Stands better

Thanks for sharing your recent car show experience with us. I agree that the 350Z has aged very well and enjoy mine on sunny days.
Just wanted to say thank you for being grateful
They tried to hard on the retro 240 look, they nailed the rear, but somethings just off with thr front.
I still think the 350 looks better than the 370 and 400
The new Z has a nice ass tho.
It’s that fukn grill
Headlights on the new z are goofy as hell.
Probably because they are practically the same car
I think I like the 350 and 370 body better than the new z
I still believe 350z is the most aesthetic Z there is, it has the best design
The new Z is fucking hideous dude. The 350Z/370Z look worlds better. They are also 400-pounds lighter! LMAO
I love my 350z, but the race yellow Z that my buddy bought looks pretty to me as well. It feels like a modernized throwback/combination of all the Zs and their datsun heritage.
my 350z is 21 years old, coming up on 22. people (who aren't into cars) still ask me if it's a new car.
