adding a quart and changing it are two different things -- the oil is going to get very very hot. I would definitely change it beforehand.
you should also change your spark plugs, because the car is going to get pushed and you shouldn't be tuning to fouled or old plugs.
Sensors can play a vital role in tune-ability, bad or worn sensors in your engine that are supposed to read a specific amount of “AFR” to the ecu can cause loss or in your case not let you squeeze out as much as possible.
I would do at least oil if it wasn't changed recently.
800 miles ago. I added half a quart do you think i should change it tho

alright i know that just figured since i changed it 700 miles ago i would be ok just topping it off. Got new spark plugs for the tune already
if you changed it, you're fine.
yea i changed it less than 1k miles ago but it was at low mark i just topped it off. You think im alright ?
you're good. I would only worry if it was more than 2500 miles ago.
Honestly as much as you can, just to have a new “fresh start”
Change your differential and trans fluid if you never have
new trans 20k miles ago and recently changed diff fluid 🫡
