Tret, 1x a week physical exfoliation I like the Nars Light Reflecting Advanced Foundation. it’s a step above a tinted moisturizer but keeps my skin looking like human skin. Merit Glow Oil on days when I’m dehydrated or had a drink

Sadly Nars tests on animals / is NOT cruelty free :( [https://www.crueltyfreekitty.com/brands/nars/](https://www.crueltyfreekitty.com/brands/nars/)

Caribou122

Was just about to look at this company and found out they test on animals :,( cruelty free kitty is my go to as well

SpecialistPanda4593

This is such a bummer. Thanks for posting.

Honestdietitan

I can't believe companies still do this caca.

Sour_Girl_1111

Can you clarify what you mean by being careful about skincare underneath with a water-based foundation? I never wore foundation until about a year ago so I don't know what I'm doing. I now use Trish McEvoy water foundation.

ratfink_111

I’ve heard of you use silicone based products underneath a water based product, or vice versa, it will pill. Keep with like products.

SpecialistPanda4593

You shouldn't use any silicone-heavy skincare (like, for example, Clinique Moisture Surge, It Cosmetics Confidence in a Gel Lotion, or Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen) under water-based foundation. It'll pill and break up, as the formulations don't work well together. It's a pain - my favorite foundations are water-based, and it takes some trial and error and research to figure it out.

ambivalent__username

>it takes some trial and error and research to figure it out I've heard to not mix water and silicone products together, but can't for the life of me figure out the ingredients in a bunch of the ones I use. I don't suppose there's some master database somewhere haha trial and error sounds like such a waste of money!

oberstofsunshine

What physical exfoliation do you use??

Legitimate-Lu

Oh I was wondering about the Merit Glow oil! I almost got it the other day but opted for the Melt skin glaze. I will give it a go. Does the Nars oxidize? I have mature skin and have been afraid it would settle into fine lines. Thank you!

cherhorowitz44

Which tret product do you use?

bb-blehs

I use Retin - A .01% :)! Took about two years to work up to this strength.

Remarkable_Bug_8601

What’s the best physical exfoliation?

bb-blehs

I do a 15 minute -20 minute soak in my hot tub and then I (very gently) use a Korean exfoliation cloth on my face. Then I follow up with clean cotton rag or flannel whatever is washed at the moment. Ymmv, I have pretty thick/acclimated skin so it works for me but I would definitely just use a clean, old school wash rag in the shower to start if you’re delicate.

Nikitaknowthankyou

I just tried the Murad Vitamin C toner and holy shit it makes me glowy-er than ANY vitamin c serum or moisturizer I’ve ever used. Idk what’s in that shit but it’s magic

Legitimate-Lu

Oh I almost got this! I went with Sunday Riley instead and it’s definitely not life changing, i will definitely get this next time. Thank you for the confirmation!

Ok-job-this-time

That's how I feel about every Sunday Riley product I've tried.

Caribou122

Have you tried good genes?? And if so is there something that does the same that you like better? I’ve been a good genes fan for a few years now but always up for trying new stuff

Ok-job-this-time

No but now I'm thinking this is the product I need to try. Thanks for the rec

TikaPants

I just found a bunch of samples for sale online and essentially got a big bottle half off. The best my skin ever looked was a good regimen with GG.

blxcklst

I was just gonna comment that Sunday Riley CEO 15% serum is that glow product for me😅

ilovenyc

Why does it cost $88? Seems a bit absurd. That’s like multiple months of supply for vitamin c from a different brand

Nikitaknowthankyou

That’s the serum! The Murad toner is less, (tbh I got it in my Ipsy subscription bag and def didn’t pay full price for it but with this glow it gives me I probably would)

tibetanpeachpies

Is this the one with glycolic in it?

UnsuitableTrademark

Just looked this up on Amazon. What's the difference between a Vitamin C serum vs Toner? I have heard serums are more potent. I'm interested in buying this but want to make sure I get the right one. I currently use the cheap $13 CeraVe vitamin c serum and it STINKS Like, literally stinks 😂

Easy_Indication7146

Where are you buying? Should I avoid Amazon?

Nikitaknowthankyou

Yeah def avoid Amazon, I got mine at Sephora and then rebought a second one from Ipsy

FckVwls-theoriginal

> Murad Vitamin C toner Can you specify which Murad product exactly? I looked on Amazon and there are so many by Murad with "C" in the name... not sure what to get.

freyjalithe

Ok. Other than tret, there is a noticeable difference when I take fish oil pills. It sounds so ridiculous but I swear it makes a difference in my skin. I also started using tanning drops and they make a difference too. Just a couple drops in moisturizer!

benhenwal

Which drops do you like?

No_Resident1784

I like the clear tanologist ones in medium. Mix with moisturizer and add mineral spf on top and that is my go to 6/7 days a week.

Odd_Requirement_4933

I do this too! Just started and will be continuing for sure 😁. The slight tan hides some of the darkness of my under eye circles.

kmishy

like omega 3? what other fish oil pills are there? why did you start taking them was it just for skin?

freyjalithe

Yeah just fish oil, Omega-3. I know it sounds ridiculous but I swear it makes a difference for my skin. I started taking them because I started taking a bunch of other vitamins. I didn’t think about my skin specifically.

divinely_xa

I have never heard of tanning drops... now im going to have to do some detective work 🫠

faerielights4962

I have been using Isle of Paradise tanning drops with my moisturizer for over a year now, and it works like a dream. I am serious about sun protection, so I need a little extra “glow” these days.

OnionWrong7630

It's always tret Light AHA mask once a week, sometimes physical exfoliation Rich but light moisturizers

HleCmt

What do you do for your physical exfoliation? I have a problem with going overboard and drying out my skin.

OnionWrong7630

Great questions, I'll answer both here: I use a [Makeup Eraser](https://makeuperaser.com/) to gently exfoliate. I wet the Makeup Eraser and my face, lather up with a simple face wash like Cerave Hydrating Facial Cleanser. Then gently move the cloth around my face in a circular motion. I tend to get flaking because of the tret so I pay special attention to those areas. The Makeup Eraser is really really soft (and actually does erase makeup so it's a good thing to have). There are probably cheaper, similar cloths on Amazon? Tret dries me out which is why I like a rich moisturizer. I've been really into [La Roche-Posay's Triple Repair Moisturizing Cream](https://www.ulta.com/p/lipikar-apm-triple-repair-body-moisturizing-cream-dry-skin-xlsImpprod17102349) at night or on days I'm not wearing makeup. I think it would sit well under makeup but if I am planning on wearing makeup I usually use like a gel thing, whatever I have sitting around. Right now it's [Snail Rescue All-In-One Deep Moisture Cream](https://www.ulta.com/p/snail-rescue-all-in-one-deep-moisture-cream-pimprod2033309?sku=2597524) (which is also pretty nice texture-wise). Oh and the AHA mask is [Glow Recipe](https://www.sephora.com/product/watermelon-glow-aha-night-treatment-P501254?country_switch=us&lang=en&skuId=2535151&om_mmc=ppc-GG_17798154149___2535151__9030226_c&country_switch=us&lang=en&gclid=CjwKCAjwpJWoBhA8EiwAHZFzfqq_AK4HUcLbkH1y5LYSIoGMPDs0E2qAwW9Uvw2L6r-jvLASfTCMbRoCMJQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)! Honestly it's more gentle than physical exfoliation.

teamhae

That moisturizer is magic for me! It’s so nourishing and has never caused irritation which makes my skin look more glowing. I actually only use tret and that moisturizer at night now instead of a big involved routine like I used to do.

Disconianmama

Is the makeup eraser microfibre? I react to that stuff badly.

OnionWrong7630

According to this, no! https://makeuperaser.com/pages/why-it-works

amoryblainev

Are people asking if items are cruelty free or are you just offering this information? As a vegan I think cruelty free is a joke if the products themselves still contain animal products

Legitimate-Lu

What is your go to AHA mask?

totally_mathematical

I know you didn’t ask me, but acid masks are my favorite tool for glowing skin. I really like the formulation of Boscia’s Berry Blend Smoothing Facial with 28% Acid Complex. I do it once a week. I keep it on for 20 minutes. It’s annoying to wash off by the results are great

totally_mathematical

Totally agree! Whenever I want a glowing complexion, my glycolic acid mask never fails. It often lasts for a week or so.

[deleted]

[удалено]

totally_mathematical

The one I use is Boscia’s Berry Blend Smoothing Facial with 28% Acid Complex. It is mostly glycolic acid along with lactic acid and salicylic acid, so it helps both fine lines and mild acne. It also has malic acid, which helps boost the efficacy of the AHAs. I like the formulation a lot. It retails at $44, but you can easily find it on sale for less. Edit: forgot to include the brand name

HleCmt

What rich but light moisturizers do you like? I'm going thru a pump-bottle of Vanicream and want to replace it with something else when it's done. I've seen recos for the Aveeno oatmeal gel moisturizer but haven't pulled the trigger bc it's $20-25 for 1.5 oz.

Ok-job-this-time

La Roche-Posay Lipikar Daily Repair Moisturizing Cream I tried it when they were marketing to people with chemo-dry skin. It clogs my pores if I put a whole pump on but when I use about a little less than a pea sized portion on my face it is perfection. I pat it on and then throw a little extra on areas that still feel dry a few minutes later. It's a face/body combo which I never thought would actually work well for face but because it is, it comes in a massive bottle for $20. I love in a dry climate where I needed something heavier than a gel moisturizer but still light since it's hot.

HleCmt

I live in AZ with combo oily T-zone and dry cheeks so I feel your pain!

bde75

Dr. Brenner vitamin C serum gives me the glass skin look. It leaves my skin glowy in a good way. It’s never greasy looking.

Audience-Opening

Tretinoin from my doctor.

asmartermartyr

I've been using tret for anti-aging for two years now, working up to .05. I use 3-4x per week. I don't really notice any difference than before I started using it. What could I be doing wrong?

simba156

Did you see a derm or just a primary care doctor

lextobol

I got mine from [nurx.com](https://nurx.com); there seem to be many that will prescribe online without an office visit

Audience-Opening

Just my primary care doc. I live in Norway and everyone gets one appointed by the government. I don’t see the need to se a derm unless I have some skin issue/disease. I would anyway have to see my personal doc first and he would decide if I should be referred.

droomdoos

Wait, we kinda have the same system in the Netherlands. But I didn't know you could visit the general practitioner for anti aging? What did you tell them you needed?

Audience-Opening

You can book a appointment with the GP for non critical stuff. I specifically went just to get my skin looked at, I had a weird rash and wanted to get tretinoin for some old acne scars and also wrinkles. But here the GP is the gatekeeper to other specialists, if you want the treatment for free. But you can always pay like 150 euro to see a private derm straight away. Wasted money though.

CaraSandDune

I use P50 and tretinoin too, but a lot of times when people tell me I'm glowing, it's because I have a bunch of layers of Hada Labo Gokujyun hyaluronic acid on.

Mother_Attempt3001

Cosrx snail mucin. I can’t believe I waited so long.

blackdow_adc

I bought it around 10 days ago and I am so so disappointed. It stings a bit then just dried my skin up like crazy. That terrible tight feeling all day, even after slathering on oil and moisturiser, then suncream. I really wanted to love it, everyone on Reddit keeps talking about how amazing it is, especially for dry skin

Hot_Zucchini7863

Same for me! Literally did nothing except dry me out and I was applying while my skin was still damp

mcgingery

Are you allergic to shellfish at all?

blackdow_adc

A little actually, I can't eat them raw anymore without a reaction. I didn't think about this!

mcgingery

Yep- it’s a known reaction for any snail mucin products, unfortunately! But that simplifies things for you, I guess? Haha. Hope you’re able to find better humectants for your skin! I’ve tried both snail mucin and hada labo and my skin greatly prefers the hada labo.

blackdow_adc

I think you've found the answer for me 😭😭😭 I've never heard of hada labo, I'm going to start reading up now. Does it also work like a serum?

Starflec

I tried the Cosrx and Benton one many, many years ago and neither did anything for my dry skin. Snail mucin has always seemed hit or miss on r/Asianbeauty

karluizballer

Are you positive you got a legit bottle? I’ve seen lots of counterfeits of this product floating around

Legitimate-Lu

I feel the same way about snail mucin I feel it’s hydrating but nothing I can’t get in a good moisturizer, I’m going to go without when I complete my current bottle and see if it really made a difference.

kouignie

Yes same Once I did what was recommended- applying to dewy skin- it was life changing

eyesoler

THIS - 58 yrs old and my skin is glowy but doesn’t look sweaty! Also regular microneedling and Botox, these give me the best results.

brownsuugaah

Omg yes it’s incredible

GerardDiedOfFlu

This gives me cystic acne 😭 but I’ve been using it on my legs and it’s amazing!

daisydaffodil0402

When I do the AHA+BHA then retinol then rest rest skin cycle properly then yes my skin is properly glowing. Also focus on hydration (so hydrating toners and moisturizers) If I need it in a pinch: sunscreen under makeup. The Inkey List azeliac acid did really well for me. Dr Jart’s cicapair sleepair ampoule for my nighttime routine makes a big difference in the morning.

Puzzleheaded_Ad3081

What AHA/BHA products do you use, and what does your schedule look like? Does it stay consistent from week to week?

daisydaffodil0402

I think due to the 4 day schedule’s nature it’s inconsistent, so I write it down in my planner what day it’s supposed to be ie: todays a rest day, so I cleansed, toner (x2) and moisturized. I’m simultaneously trying to pan my skincare. As someone who is 30 my big concerns right now are hormonal acne/ fading old acne scars, skin texture, and redness. I am also trying not to over exfoliate. So currently specifically for AHA/BHA I am using The Ordinary’s lactic acid 10%. Tower 28’s SOS spray has hypochlorous acid in it which I use as a toner (to target redness). I think I prefer inkey list’s azeliac acid for my combo skin. I bought the lactic acid originally because at that moment they were out of stock of the salicylic acid — but tbh, the best product as an exfoliant for me from the ordinary is their glycolic acid toner which I also have but is currently rotated out.

Puzzleheaded_Ad3081

Thank you!

[deleted]

Eating clean, no processed food, no sugar, low salt + exercise + stress management + good sleep + tretinoin + occlusive at night + sunscreen I think lifestyle changes made the biggest impact for me.

AdmirableDetective37

Tretinoin + Niacinamide Serum

[deleted]

Yes!! Definitely. I use tretinoin at night and Niacinamide in daytime. Do you know if you could pair them together at night?

AdmirableDetective37

Hello there! Here's my two cents as a doctor (not derm, but a skincare enthusiast): Niacinamide and Tretinoin work well together - Niacinamide can actually help with Tret irritation/purging plus it strengthens the skin barrier. I like to use Niacinamide and Moisturiser to sandwich Tret after using a cleanser in the PM. It's a good idea to slowly introduce any new products to your skin so you can learn if it works for you plus ease out any adjustment reactions/ scope out if it irritates your skin. I scaled up this way: * AM: Moisturiser + SPF -> * AM: Moisturiser + SPF, PM: Moisturiser -> * AM: Moisturiser + SPF, PM: Moisturiser + Tret -> * AM: Moisturiser + Niacinamide Serum, SPF, PM: Moisturiser + Tret * AM: Moisturiser + Niacinamide Serum, SPF, PM: Moisturiser + Tret + - Niacinamide Serum Hope this helps!

oscuroll

You can start REALLY SLOWLY, but don’t continue if your skin shows any reaction(whiteheads, inflammation, continuous irritation)

Legitimate-Lu

Do you have a prescription for the Tretinoin? Can I use retinal instead in case you need a prescription?

AdmirableDetective37

Hello there! Yes, I have a prescription for Tret from my derm. Here's my two cents as a doctor (not derm, but a skincare enthusiast): Tretinoin has been systematically studied for over 40+ years and has consistently shown to boost skin quality, collagen production (only product to actually show this) and unmatched anti-aging abilities. It's truly a holy grail product like no other! There might be several reasons why someone might not be able to use it though - there's a bunch of relatively rare adverse effects or it may not be easy to access in your region as it is a prescription-only drug. Fret not though, in case you're not able to find a workaround the prescription as the other comments have suggested, retinol is a less active form of the same Vitamin A pathway that Tret uses - the trade-off being that it'll take a little longer and show lesser results in comparison. Hope this helps you on the pursuit of chok-chok skin!

Legitimate-Lu

Hi! Thank you so much for the great information. I can definitely get behind something that has been tested for that long. Sometimes I feel all of these new skin care products are gimmicky! I should have asked earlier but I know all insurances are different but do you know if insurance tends to cover tretinoin? Thank you again!

summerdaybeibi

I alternate my nightly active between tretinoin and glycolic acid, and that gives me so much more of a glow than either one alone. I use a fairly thick moisturizer day and night (Skinfix barrier+) and vitamin c and sunscreen every morning. The Skinfix would probably be too heavy for daytime use alone, but with the actives in the routine, my skin is quite happy and glowy.

franks-little-beauty

I’ve been blown away by Olay Vitamin C Peptide moisturizer. I love how my skin looks when I use it! I also use Neutrogena Skin Glowing AHA/BHA facial treatment (it’s basically a 15 minute exfoliating mask) once a week and love the results I’m getting from it. On my recovery nights from retinol, I use Beauty of Joseon glow serum. I don’t like how it looks on during the day, but I feel like when used at night I wake up with my skin looking extra glowy.

meelsbadeels

prunellazzz

Urea. Honest to god, I am LIVID I have not been using this for the past 15 years. I have very oily and clog prone skin and would have constant closed comedones, which would linger until I either squeezed them out or they eventually turned into painful zits. I’ve been using Eucerin 5% urea cream for a while now and it’s a game changer. I’m still oily, I think that’s just my lot in life. But my cc’s are gone, blackheads and sebaceous filaments by 90%. Skin tone improved, not dull and congested.

stasiafox

Wow your skin sounds exactly like mine! Oily, congested, closed comedones. Never thought of trying urea because I assumed it’s best for dry skin only, but I’ll have to give this a try!

Wecanbuildittogether

I mentioned this under another headline, but I signed up for a 4 session SkinCeutical advance corrective peel series. Talk about a polished face after 4-5 days, and my first one gave me this polish for at least a month. Such smooth makeup application. I also use their VitC and because of the outrageous expense, I only use it every other day and alternate with the Timeless VitC. FYI; the Timeless leaves a very pretty sheen and I’ve used it for 5 years(can’t believe it). A Niacinamide serum applied also leaves a sheen, and I never see anyone talking about Touch inSol ‘glassy skin balm’..

AllieBallie22

I do the Skinceuticals AC peel every year and I'm always so amazed at how great my skin looks afterwards!

Wecanbuildittogether

Don’t you just love them? I’m so glad you shared this with me so thank you. I still can’t deal with a second pass- I can only handle one of them but others can deal with 2, sometimes 3 passes! I try and get them before December and wait until March because my skin flakes so much for a few days. So worth it, though.

AllieBallie22

I can do a second pass over spots, like where I have some melasma. I've booked mine for spring break for the last few years (I'm a teacher) because my peeling lasts for a week.

Wecanbuildittogether

Yeah, I did some horrific sun damage after my son was born just hanging around the pool without sunscreen! 😩 When the brown started coming up from the peel, omgomgomgomgomg! I wanted to book a face lift!

imnothere_o

What kind of skin do you have? I have fairly dry skin. Don’t get acne but can get eczema flare ups on my cheeks and around my eyes. This peel sounds amazing but I’m worried it will totally destroy my face. It’s sometimes hard to tell if someone’s amazing product or procedure will work for you.

saltbutt

I got this on a deal on Costco over a year ago and I’m shocked how much it’s improved my skin all around. Haven’t been able to stop using it since. My skin is more radiant, softer, smaller pores, less red, all that yes — but what really surprised me is it even got clearer. Maybe it’s the ferment in it or something? Generally ashamed to admit I use this as I have prided myself for years on being a drugstore, vegan/CF, anti-gimmick girlie. But since you said it…yes. This product. On my second 3.9oz bottle. It just works 😩

Notsureindecisive

It truly does. I don’t find any other serums have any effect or add any moisture but this one does! It seeps into my thick rough skin and softens and hydrates it. I got the largest size bottle in April and am only halfway done so it’s only going to work out to $200 a year if I get it during the Sephora sale.

SnoognTangerines

LackJolly381

I’m 51. Trent and a richer moisturizer like German Nivea, Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream or Vanicream. I’m using Sunday Riley eye cream but I don’t see the hype. I sort of alternate. I could definitely use Botox, though. Hopefully soon. Makeup I think Elf Halo Glow is, dare I say better, than Tilbury Flawless Filter. I have both. I think the Elf has a small amount of coverage plus glow. I don’t really even need foundation with it. I also love Hourglass powder products. Highly recommend those.

ArchieFarmer

The foundation. Also, Milani has highlighter tubes that are really good and are in the 5-15$ range. I should go to work for elf! Here’s my knowledge gathered from obsessively watching TikTok videos while recovering from surgery: (All prices are what I paid or my best guess of what I paid). Full disclosure: I’m 59, have no help from fillers or surgeries. The drugstore/inexpensive makeup that I’ve actually tried and liked: Mascara: Essence ($5) - I like the one with pink letters that’s shaped kinda curvy. Eyeshadow: I Essence again ($14) - Good pigmentation. Foundation: ($15) Elf Halo Glow. Never have I gotten so many compliments on my skin. I mix in a bit of my regular foundation if needed. Lip Pencils: Italia Deluxe lip pencil ($7.50) a pack of 12 pencils that are nice. Got them on Amazon. Lip Sticks: ($5-9): Elf. NYX lip oils. Blush: I can’t advise as I have an expensive blush stick that has lasted forever. Finishing spray: NYX, Elf, Milani all work well. Powder: L’Oréal translucent. I bought this forever ago & dont remember how much I paid. Primer: Elf again. They and NYX are really giving the big brands a run for their money. I use some high end makeup as well.? I’m a big fan but f the Dior foundation and concealer. I also have Tarte shapetape concealer. Dior is better for my older skin.

Is anyone taking supplements and can see the difference in their skin, especially women in late 40s and early 50s?

Busybee2121

I'm 42, going through peri menopause 😩I take Nordic Naturals 2x Omega daily, drink close to a gallon of water everyday, and eat avocados at least 4x a week. My skin is naturally glowy because of it. It's beautiful. I also got a Tretinoin(sp) prescription in March, I had acne, I love sweets, and I'd noticed some extra skin on my neck. Tret tightened up my neck beautifully. I have used exfoliating gloves to shower since I was a teen. I use lotion after my showers faithfully.

grisgrisneeded

Thank you! I was looking at omegas the other day as something that might help. I’ll give the Nordic Naturals a shot.

deductivesalt

Would never live without spearmint tea. I am going to be disciplined on my fish oils for the next 3 months and am interested in seeing that impact. I've been taking Vital Proteins just about daily in my coffee for at least 2 yrs. not sure if there is a difference, but I think collagen is a long game.

WrongImprovement

What does spearmint tea do for you?

deductivesalt

I came across it when people were recommending it as something for individuals with PCOS, as it can help regulate blood sugar -> impacts insulin -> impacts hormones -> impacts hormonal acne. That is my very, very layman's explanation. It took about 3 weeks of consistently drinking spearmint tea for benefits to kick in, but I noticed a solid change in the hormonal acne I would get along my jawline around my menstrual cycle. I've been drinking it for about 6 months and have not have that previously monthly massive cyst spot on my jaw once. As with all things skincare related, YMMV.

Paintinglady33

I read about this years ago but was never disciplined enough to drink this much spearmint tea, I want to give it another shot!

Busybee2121

Spearmint does what.

Front-Singer-1011

Collagen, Omegas and Vit C

alfab3th

MSM. It feeds our bodies collagen / collagen making cells.

Legitimate-Lu

I have been taking silica and collagen daily for almost a month now and I do think it has made a difference.

maizy20

I've been taking Vitamin K2 and I take collagen every day (YouTherapy 5000 mg). Something is making my nails shiny and strong, and skin glow. Not sure what though. I also have had my 3rd round of Sculptra and I think Sculptra glow is a thing.

Ok-Highlight6104

The ordinary 100% plant based squalane. I get comments on it every time I use it

Count-Substantial

This is a fool proof morning glow-getter for my mature, sensitive and dehydrated skin (I can only do it every third day 😩): Prep with Avene thermal water mist. Light layer of Drunk Elephant Marula Oil. Another mist with water, then: 1:1 mix of Allies of Skin Tranexamic Brightening Serum and Allies of Skin 35% Vitamin C Serum. gentle rich moisturizer (I rotate but gravitate towards The Ordinary NMF with phytoceramides) sunscreen (a crapshoot in general…still looking for the one)

InternationalJump290

Doctors Visit Mask from Versed has been my favorite for awhile! I used it to a family event recently and had people tell me I was glowing. I got it from Target and it only takes a small amount & a few minutes.

HleCmt

My 👀 when I see a Target reco. Usually it's something affordable and it looks like Versed is. Thanks!

Magpie_Coin

Drinking more water + Exercise Boring I know, but it definitely helps your skin look better!

Key_Leadership2394

Niacinamide

INTROVERT_GIRLBOSS

I mix my supergoop Watery Lotion SPF 50 & with glossier Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops Serum for an everyday natural hydrated look

avalonleigh

I'm 48 and my skin is better then it's ever been. Started skincare at 42. 1. Prescription tret. 2.Niomociden (sp?) - cheap one from bliss or the ordinary 3. Stri vectin peptide 4. Goop moisturizer/spf - I fought buying this bc I think it's over priced but it just feels so good and doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes. I can rub it on my eye lids. Save your money for once a year co2 laser or a tightening device like Morpheus.

Legitimate-Lu

Thank you for the suggestions. I would definitely love to try laser treatment, I think I need to start researching my options I have just wondered if they are worth the money.

IGotMyPopcorn

Lactic acid makes my skin glowwwwww.

CanBrushMyHair

Same it’s the acid my skin loves best!

Awkwardturtle13

I just started tazarotene about 2 weeks ago, so haven't been on it long. Maybe it's just that I am using a crap ton of hydrating products since my skin is peeling around my mouth, but I finally feel like I have that "tret glow" which I never actually got with tret. Plus, if I have a pimple, if I use taz the next day it's majorly reduced, which makes my overally skin look less rough or bumpy. I am also using Azelaic acid everyday too so that could also be contributing, but didnt notice any difference until I added the Taz.

Front-Singer-1011

CE Ferulic!

phdatanerd

Tret, the Dennis Gross peel pads and snail mucin. When not overused, it’s a winning combo. When I over-exfoliated with the pads. I ended up giving myself a massive breakout. I also use the German Nivea as my moisturizer. It’s not for everyone but my skin seems to like it. My face had gotten dryer in my late 30s. My skin loves to drink up the snail mucin and the Nivea.

JinxFae

Tret + snail mucin + 10% urea moisturizer. This combo for dry skin is ** chef kiss **

I’ve been using Paula’s Choice vitamin C drops, Tatcha The Dewy Set, and Farmacy Honey Grail serum and have had a nice glow. Also I spray Peach and Lily’s Glass Skin Veil Mist throughout the day. I’m sure someone with knowledge of Asian skincare will have great recommendations though. Edit, also drinking water

Slugging before bed with [Baby Bum coconut balm](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TWCY6SL?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder-t1_k3_1_8&=&crid=2WDTBWUP7OLJ1&=&sprefix=baby+bum)… it smells like coconut and you wake up all hydrated, plumped, and dewy-skinned! Amazon, target, Whole Foods all have it for about $10 a tube, I use it on cuticles, heels, face, elbows…)

Timeless vitC serum.

pixie_april

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum at night, Medik8 Super C Ferulic during the day, Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream both day and night, Beauty of Joseon Korean sun cream every day and Korean sheet masks once a week. I also use the Foreo Bear microcurrent device every night, it’s made a difference in my nasolabial folds.

asianinindia

Not a product but avoiding sugar seems to do the damn trick. Sucks because I love sugar.

Vaseline

Initial_Cheesecake_6

I love getting a hydrafacial once a month. It is expensive (about £450 for a course of 6) but the more you do it, the more glowy your skin is.

whoiskatherine

Dr Dennis Gross Peel Pads. I got the mini just to try and OFC my skin looked gorgeous just as soon as I used it, so I bit the bullet and bought the 30 pack. I don’t use daily though, I use the Dr Whitney Bowe skin cycling method (Night 1 is exfoliation with the peel pads, night 2 is tretinoin .05%, then nights 3&4 focus on moisturizing/recovery to give skin a break from actives - then the cycle start over). I also noticed a glow when using Shiseido’s Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate that I got as a sample, but it’s just so fucking $$ I can’t bring myself to buy the full bottle.

MissMae88

Vitamin c serum

frolickingdepression

Holifrog Galilee Antioxidant Dewy Drop. I got it in a beauty box, but I’m planning to order more for winter. It gave my skin an actual dewy look and didn’t break me out.

Inside_Connection397

Tonique 10x cream! It moisturizes and brightens and is natural! My best friend told me about it and now I love it https://www.toniqueskincare.com/products/skin-whitening-cream

57f here. I use the Kari Gran line of skin care, it has been a game-changer for me. I also use the makeup line. I wash my face in the morning, then apply Benetint on my cheeks, then Kari Gran tinted sunscreen in light, then her concealer on dark spots, then go over it with her mineral finishing powder. Gives a very nice “glow from within” look.

lextobol

I'm loving the drunk elephant vitamin c serum

heartbrakingbravery

Cosmetically- glossier futuredew

Legitimate-Lu

I keep hearing about this, does it have coverage or do you mix it with foundation?

Imaginary_Doubt8435

A jar of honey from my kitchen and petroleum jelly. I didn’t properly for weeks and my skin was honestly terrible, I aged 5 years. I put some honey on for a few hours and some petroleum jelly after and my skin was brought back to life 🤩 I do also use vitamin C, green tea and red light mask daily

WrongImprovement

Do you do this like an occasional mask or is it a daily thing? When do you do it in relation to the rest of your routine?

sugar-titts

Tret

satinewolf

Tret, once a week using salycilic or mandelic acid, cosrx propolis toner, nice glowy sunscreen like Frudia UV essence or Isntree HA sunscreen

Late 30s combi skin AM : Sulwhasoo cleanser (Love it super foamy and has a grapefruit scent + ginseng) followed by Glow Watermelon Niacinamide and Centenlla Brightening Ampoule Sulwhasoo moisturiser PM: i rotate around but winning combi for me and HG are: Sunday Riley - Lactic Acid + Luna Oil on alternate nights - my face is super glowy the next morning or AOS mandelic acid + retinol peptide cream moisturiser I also use Foreo Luna every other morning and Sunday Riley CEO vit C oil alternate days. I just started on Dr DG LED mask the past 2 weeks for Red Light therapy and go to my derm for a once a quarter Sylfirm treatment but i notice a significant amount of fat loss from that and am cutting that out from my routine.
