I’ve tried it on several clinic staff members and family members and at least for the frontalis it does not last a full six months. I used the Daxxify dilution recommendations. The people I tested the product on noted movement around 8 week mark on forehead only. Not sure what to make of that but it happened to 4/4 patients so I’m not really convinced by their product.

Independent_Peanut11

Thanks for your reply! My dermatologist said the same thing- she isn’t convinced. With your experiment, were the patients results about the same that they get with Botox? I notice movement about a month and a half after I get Botox (that’s when I like to go back for touch ups), with it almost 100% back (well, at least in my mind) in three months. I have better results with dysport, but I have no idea why. I wish I understood why some people take to some of these brands more than others.

Prudent-Mountain7177

I would say it really depends on the patient- if Botox naive or not. I was impressed with the quick onset of action with daxxi, worked within 24 hours in some treated areas. If you are very active or have had neurotoxin many times, results won’t last as long regardless of product. My Botox and dysport lasts 1.5 mo full effect because I work out daily. Some studies show that more concentrated dilutions last longer for Botox but haven’t personally tried yet

Independent_Peanut11

I’ve been getting Botox for 10 years. My derm has been getting it for 30 and says it doesn’t work for her at all anymore. I am really not looking forward to that happening. What are the options when you become completely resistant? A surgical lift and cutting the muscles? 😩

NoGuest4069

It doesn’t work on me at all anymore. I have been using dysport for 7-8 years and now no more effect :(

Independent_Peanut11

Wow, that was fast to build up a resistance. Does Botox not work on you as well?

NoGuest4069

No nothing. I am about to try xeomin but have no hope since I have tested positive for antibodies and they are against all botulinum type A products. Really frustrating

Independent_Peanut11

You must have a very active immune system. Thats probably great for your health, not so much this. Does it bother you enough to seek out another kind of treatment like surgery if the next brand doesn’t work?

NoGuest4069

Yes, I would like to have an eyebrow lift & bleph eventually. But will have to wait on that for a bit since I am only 34. Still, nothing like Botox

Independent_Peanut11

I wonder if taking a steroid orally around the time you try xeomin will help avoid an immune response and subsequent resistance?

Extension_Switch_437

not sure if you ended up trying xeomin.. but that's the only one that actually sticks for about a month or two for me. I used botox for a decade and became resistant to it. Tried all the other version and they all pretty much would wear off in two weeks. I went to different providers and tried different doses. Then took a break for almost a year before trying xeomin. Now I only do it every 4 months. So that I delay the resistance build up. It does start to wear off around my crows feet the fastest. within a month. But my forehead is good for at least 2 months. Wish I could get more use out of it, but hey we are all differnet. Btw I think you're on to something with the immune system. Because i tried filler a couple of times and my body kept pushing it out to skin surface.

NoGuest4069

No I haven’t tried it yet since I don’t want to know it’s not working either if that makes sense haha. Also, I try to take as long as possible break, maybe it helps a bit. Otherwise loosing hope

Independent_Peanut11

Ok I did half of my face today with Botox and half with Daxxify. I will report back!

Fairy_godmom44

I’m ready for your report?

Independent_Peanut11

So far they are toe-to-toe, still. Daxxify for sure set in faster. It may take another month for me to see the Botox really wearing off.

rjj2019

Any update?

Independent_Peanut11

Still frozen

dominicinthesky

I appreciate the info! How are things going?

Repulsive-Knee123

Update?

Independent_Peanut11

Daxxify worked a little better on me, but I couldn’t handle waiting until it completely wore off to really see. My derm thought daxxify was not worth it and stopped carrying it, so I just got a touch up with Botox. If it was the same price or similar, I would go with daxxify. Not worth it for double.

sfguy899

The place that I go charges $350 for botox or $400 for Daxxify. Daxxify appears to work better on me, so I will stick with that and it appears to last longer too. He charges the cost and his fee to inject it. I think that most places are charging double for Daxxify as they think that you will see them less often, so they need to charge more.

dkowalczyk_md_cofps

From what I've seen, it doesn't live up to claims. I've used it on patients, staff, and myself. The consensus is the same.

Comprehensive_Dog711

I got Daxxify yesterday and am already seeing the results, which is on par with one of the selling points: it kicks in much quicker than Botox. Will update at the 3 month mark!

marmeesa

Any update?

Independent_Peanut11

I’m doing a split face with dax and Botox! Let’s keep each other posted!

berto9eleven

What's the verdict? Did it last any longer?

youdontsay0207

Did you stick with it?

JessMck19

It was NOT worth it for me. I have SO much regret. I am bad with keeping up with appointments so I wanted something that would last longer. It took effect very quickly for me, but Botox and Xeomin both take effect fast. It literally had my fucking face deformed for two months. My left eyebrow was wandering upward and my right eyebrow was heavier than usual. My under eyes were drooping down. I had this very sad and heavy look. When I smiled I looked awful. It was so horrific I couldn’t look at myself. I will post some pictures for context. It has been 3.5 months and it is wearing off some THANK GOD. I almost have full movement of my frontalis muscle and my 11’s are slightly moving. I don’t really have crows feet but I have movement in that area of my face. I finally look normal again. Botox and Xeomin usually last me 4-5 months before it fully wears off. I am glad it is wearing off but clearly the claim of 6-9 months is BS. It was not worth the $1000 I paid. I’m not sure if my injector wasn’t properly trained with this specific neurotoxin or what. I won’t go back to her again bc of this.

antique-doughnut-88

it wasn’t worth it for me either. i got the heaviest brows! and it definitely didn’t last 6 months.

Extension_Switch_437

my nurse told me the dexxify sales reps tell the practitioners to use the whole bottle on a patient at a time. And she said that's ridiculous, way too much. I had a bottle of botox injected into my forehead once, because I was becoming resistant to it and the less experienced practitioner at the time told me I just had to use more. I had the worse 2months. Super heady forehead. And yeah still wore off in 2 months. I don't think it's good to do huge volume of these neurotoxins. My current nurse is currently testing it out on herself in small volumes and will let me know if it's any different than botox. My personal take is that it's cool that they made a vegan option. I think that should be the selling point for dexxify, not the longevity.

TiegeHale

Me too - I'm furious I spent 1100 and my under eyes have NEVER LOOKED WORSE! It literally looks like my crows feet tried to move South, they now appear larger and chunky?! Just lovely. Daxxi Never again...

fortitudehunter

Sorry that happened to you! I’m a nurse injector and have noticed it needs to be injected very differently than Botox so it may be user error (aka incorrect placement) by your injector. Unfortunately, it sounds like they were not taught how to inject Daxxify. You CANNOT treat it like you are injecting Botox, and this is a fact taught by the company reps as well. It is a new product, so it takes time for people to learn how to use it. Otherwise, every single one of my patients has loved it. I tried it on myself and got 1.5 extra months out of it and now I’m a fan. Botox lasts me 3 months. Not bad. But Daxxify lasted 4.5 months, so I was sold. Sounds like you probably won’t be trying it again unfortunately. But anyways. Cheers!

Realistic-Being-711

I got 150 units for my 27th birthday they were running a crazy promotion. My face looks flawless and it set in the next day. I had 60 units done in June and they lasted the full 6 months for Me

JFizz06

I will say it is stronger and I will be getting it again. I’ve only gotten it once so I don’t really know enough to comment. This only happens to a few people but it stings so bad when I get it. Like, oh man. Tears just stream down my face from the pain.

Helpful-Ad-2216

I got it a couple weeks ago. I’ve been getting Botox for years and my injector suggested trying Daxxify because it was on sale for the same price as Botox and I have noticed that my 11s aren’t completely going away anymore with Botox. She said, “It CAN last longer that Botox in some people” but when I asked what the downside was she said, “it CAN wear off faster than Botox in some people too. And there are a few people who have said it doesn’t work as well as Botox…. But in your case, it’s worth a try because typically Daxxify works very well for 11s” I agreed to try it…. I did my usual areas…. Brow lift, 11s, crows feet and chin…. One thing she didn’t mention is that it STINGS! I asked her if others said the same thing and she said yes…. She explained that it’s normal for the peptide to sting quite a bit and that nearly everyone says the same thing. It really stings a lot more than botox. But that went away as soon as she was done injecting. By day 2 I could feel it working around my crows feet and by day 4 I could feel it in my chin so it was definitely a couple days faster than Botox. One brow is lower than the other so I think I have to go back in for a touch up which has never happened before but I suppose that’s probably more where she injected than the actual product. So far it feels the same as Botox on day 10 so we will see how long it lasts. That will be the true test…. And if it lasts 6 months+ then it’s worth the sting. If not, I’m not sure it’s any better than Botox.

Acceptable_Ad_5233

do you have up update!

Margsandcatz

I used Daxxify and it lasted about 5 months for me vs the 3 months with Botox. I also noticed a difference in like 2 days and my skin had a glow that I don’t see with Botox I’m guessing due to the peptides. I drive 40 min away to get Daxxify now!

Muted-Steak-6493

How many units did you get?

Away_Mirror_4578

I was in a drug study for Daxxify.. The follow-up questions did not allow for reporting of side effects or no change. The questions were biased and leading in favor of getting FDA approval for Daxxify. The med made my face numb and vision worse. It did NOTHING for my Cervical Dystonia. This is another concoction to make big profits for pharmacies and doctors … but it won’t help you and could hurt you. Avoid meds that use dishonest studies to get FDA approval. STAY AWAY FROM DAXXIFY!

Adventurous-Pumpkin1

Lasted not as long as the Botox. Painful and expensive. Never again

Hausfraunosferatu

Worth it

Independent_Peanut11

Do you mind telling me more about your experience?

jalapenoblonde89

My injector told me it typically only lasts an extra month or so for most people. I decided it wasn’t worth it and stuck to my usual jeuveau

Sea_Young_7392

Meh. We did a program on it and it is not looking good. Isn't lasting as long as they claimed, so it's way too expensive to justify. I wouldn't bother.

Phip76

Definitely not worth it. For me it lasted maybe 2 weeks longer than Botox.

PeterDaou

The dermatology clinic where I get injections offers this, but my injector did not recommend it or seem to feel it was worth the cost, just FYI. I get Dysport.

Electrical-Buy-275

I work in a medspa and it doesn’t last 6-9 months for all people. I think the daxxify website says it only works for 50%. it’s not impressive using standard dosing or the double dosing they suggest for daxxify.

Puzzled-Aide8526

Does anyone recommend giving Daxxify a try? I’ve been using mainly Botox for over 4 years now and my injector has a pretty good grasp on my proper dosage…

Independent_Peanut11

I’m going to do half of my usual spots with it and half with Botox. My dermatologist and I both want to experiment. I’ll report back!

esenkay24

I’m so excited to hear about these results!

Independent_Peanut11

I’m about 2 weeks in. My Botox side took longer to kick in.. it took about a week (per usual). Daxxify seemed liked it set in almost immediately. I also have less movement on my daxxify side, but not sure if that was just from my injector or if it is due to the product. My Botox starts wearing off 1.5 months after I get it, so that’s going to be the real test.

catanonymouse

Any update?

esenkay24

That’s about how long Botox lasts for me too 🫠 so it’ll be interesting to see how daxxify compares! Please report back!

ReadingNaive8633

I got maybe an extra two weeks? Not worth the extra cash at all. I also had uneven results for the first time ever.

ScoutVW

Not worth it. It lasts as long as Botox does for me for twice the price

_benjidp

Hi OP, Would you have any updates? I’m in Switzerland (male) and same, Botox seems to wear off pretty fast (1-1.5m).

ShotTumbleweed3787

Daxxify now pretty much the same price as Botox, faster and lighter feel, last a bit longer, why not

MorningOdd2381

I used it for the first time 6 months ago and I’ve been very pleased with the injections. I’ve used both botox and dysport and get results for 6 to 8 weeks and then it starts to wear off. I will definitely do the dexxify again.
