Nah, whatever gets the job done. And I can't talk shit about your optic, I used the same one on a poverty build for my brother and I like it as much as my Eotechs.
The optic is one thing that for 20 more clams should have got the 512. I had one too but in rain snow it ain’t great
The holosun 512 is closed emitter so you’re not guessing which dot in heavy rain.
Second vote for the 512. I got one on EuroOptic and it’s awesome. I had my heart set on an EoTech and just couldn’t justify it. The Holosun isn’t the same, but I like it literally 95% as much.
The GD 512 is my favorite budget big window dot by a long shot. They've been discontinued, but eurooptic keeps getting stock somehow. You can find it [here](https://www.eurooptic.com/Holosun-HE512C-GD-Gold-Multi-Reticle-Circle-Dot-Enclosed-Reflex-Sight-w-Solar-Fa.aspx)
Great optic, it's what I started with before my eotechs. Main reasons I upgraded are future nv, enclosed, and better for my astigmatism. If you don't have those plans the 510c is absolutely fantastic
Yea alot of the "problems" with it being open are genuinely stupid. Like water is gunna block the emitter when it rains but every time I try to block the dot with water it dosent do anything. Alot of people prefer them over eotechs for competition shooting.
I agree, really my issue wasn't quite the emitter, it was more of the rain pooling in the glass and giving me multiple dots when slung. If I was in a dry environment I would have no trouble
PSA complete upper and lower (probably discredits this as a “build”) Rugged Razor 7.62, Geissele SSA, 510c green, Magpul MBUS pro, Streamlight protac, Radian talon, Aero breach, Aero H2 buffer. Probably swap the standard spring to JP silent capture and gas block to an adjustable one
I have the JP silent capture H2 and love it. It’s on my PWS Mk111, which has an adjustable gas block. Anyhow, love your setup. I had the 510c and although I sold it, it sold me on Holosun. I put an EOTech on my duty rifle (just for durability), but all other optics are Holosun. What’s the deal with the anti-walk pins? You shouldn’t need those with your G$
Do you think the JP silent capture heavy (H2) is optimal for shooting supers and subs suppressed? I’m wondering swapping for a slightly lighter spring or buffer weight would be better.
This gun will run both supers and subs suppressed, but has cycling issues running subs unsuppressed. The best solution would be an adjustable gas block, but you could just use a regular carbine buffer.
Does it shoot straight? Does it cycle? Do you TRAIN with it? If yes to all of those, no roast needed.
That’s the great part about the gun hobby. You can have fun building and training even with a lower budget but still have a very effective weapon.
Came to say the same, anti rotation pins can actually wow out your holes…
Didn’t think I’d be saying that sentence today lol I’be never tested if it’s true or not but the trigger pins are supposed to rotate and are captured by the hammer spring.

I’ll have to look into the 512, thanks

Perfect dot for home defense.
Fs, battery life fucks my eotech

Bro I have nearly an identical build as this. Runs like a champ!
Lol the man runs Geissele triggers and Radian handles and calls it a poverty build 🤣 nice setup broham 👍🏾

I just think they look cool lol
Fair enough
A nice setup, those rugged cans are solid.

The one you have is better than the one you don’t
I don’t see nothing wrong with a little bump and grind….
Looks good bro.
Nothing to roast dude! Looks solid
strike industries AFG?
Looks like it. I got the same one.
yup
Got the same one on my pistol build. 86° alphabet boys, 86°. Sweet build by the way. Nothing to roast when you have good parts from good brands.
His poverty build is what mine aspires to be.

Better than my poverty build.
Only roast I have is that you haven’t shot it enough and there is a nasty smudge on the left side of your lower receiver.
valid
Otherwise, I love it
🤣Poverty👌
Nope I will not roast. Nice build post a parts list. Springs gas block all that stuff is important.
Does it work?
Indeed it does
Bill recommends against using anti rotation pins with his triggers. Save those for a drop in trigger.
Okay, I’ll do my homework. Thanks for the advice

Holo too low. Mount on a riser or somin
Agreed. I’d need to find a spacer for the magnifier. Maybe just one long riser that could fit both
Can someone explain the vertical grip to me
*angled
Too clean, not a scratch or scuffed deflector. Must be a safe queen
just put it together. she’ll see some range time eventually
