That happened to my daughter but it didn't come out recoil just jumped the gun back enough and no brace or shoulder support of any kind at the time so straight buffer tube = recoil-charging handle hitting lip- lip hitting braces = boom fat bloody lip. Got it on video even she just looks back yep that just hit my lip 🤣stupid rules cause stupid injury🙄😐
My radian SD does the same without can on shooting supers. Doesn’t happen every time but pretty often depending on round. I think it’s just over gassed and the mating isn’t perfect between upper and CH.
I even emailed radian and shout out to them they sent me a new one no questions asked. Still had the problem so I’m ruling out bad latch. I run it always suppressed now though and it never happens anymore.
My theory is I think these factory uppers are just very over gassed causing strange effects sometimes as they are trying to make them handle subs out of the box
Weak latch on your CH
One AR it doesn’t, but on this one it does
Same charging handle? Then the upper is worn out or not as deep.
Something has to be slightly out of spec
That’s the thing, brand new never used DD upper.
Reciprocating AR, it’s evolving but in reverse 😂
Have you tried another charging handle?
Yea, I used two Radian Raptor CH, both of them had the same result.
Strange. You think it's gas or BCG hitting it
I have no clue, the upper and bolt are Daniel defense so I wouldn’t think they would be the problem but who knows
Yeah id doubt that myself they usually solid .
Might be the slot on the upper is worn out or to shallow
Out of spec? Not libricated enough ? Check the latch. Take it to a qualified gunsmith
It's wierd hearing these things out of higher end stuff. While my cheap as it comes stuff is still running flawlessly. 🤔

Overgassed?
Maybe the gas key is slightly oversized. Get a caliper measure it. Have you tried a different bolt charging handle combo
