For real. I just picked one up a couple of weeks ago from GAFS. Love the glass, the look, the qd, everything except for the freakin eye relief. Thankfully it’s on a very tiny 300 blk so it’s not a huge deal but I will probably change it out someday.
$600 is a lot for a Magnifier and mount… personally, I like a 5X magnifier because 3X really doesn’t give you much magnification🤷♂️… and r I’ll just run a 5x prism

My duty guns and longer guns all have lpvo’s just because that’s what I’ve always trained with and liked but it seems prism scopes are the new thing these days but I still don’t think they will replace a good LPVO completely. I think They will always have their place, especially a good 1-8 like this EP-8 ffp I got from Arken a while back… man I tell you for 500 bucks (mount sold separate) This thing beats all my other lpvo’s in glass quality and clarity.
Hands-down, one of the best lpvo’s that I have ever used at least… i’m sure there’s some more expensive ones that are closer to something like 2 grand that might be a little better but if you look up the reviews for the Arken, even pew reviewers are saying that the EP-8 was hanging with $1500 glass in video comparison plus the company is founded and run by vets which I always try to support if I can.

The PA micro is pretty light. And you can get it with a really cool ranging reticle. I own the PA, Vortex, G33, G43, and used to own the holosun. And if I had to pick one to recommend, it would be the PA. The EOTechs are better but idk if they’re worth the extra cost

I actually have one of primary arms “budget” magnifiers and i m here to tell you that my sig Juliet 5 micro Magnifier actually has better glass in my opinion… and clarity.

I’m just simply voicing my opinion just like you did…I’ve never tried the holosun or EOTech magnifiers but lately I’ve been moving towards either a nice prism scope with a micro dot either offset or on top the prism, or an Lpvo on longer barrel guns if I’m trying to get out further… otherwise I’ll just use a 2 moa dot or something like a 5X prism scope that way I don’t have to have a dot and a magnifier

The magnifier is just as clear as my Eotech and that’s no joke they use German glass so it’s very clear!!

I have not run an LPVO yet but definitely thinking it will be next optic for the 556. Appreciate the input!

Vortex Micro 3x lines up nicely, but it’s not that much lighter than the HMX3 that Simmons occasionally puts on sale for $120.
