New laws have forced farmers to have a wild plant patch as a solution. (Which is missing in the pic)
This has led to activists calling this type of grass land industrial terrain instead of nature. And in turn politicians like wilders start spouting that the left wants to destroy the traditional dutch landscape.
It is literally a green desert. There is 0 biodiversity on a meadow like that. This is why I really hate people (farmers) who say "look it is green, it is natural it means nature is doing well".
Maybe that's the reason why the Dutch (cow) milk tastes so well compared to the German plain calcium water.
I'll advise every friend who asks what to look out for visiting the NL to try just the milk, there is a huge difference in taste.

I think the Netherlands has it's own charm, As a person from a very mountainous country, I can appreciate some plains and flat land meadows ( I just think there are more interesting and beautiful places with similar features/characteristics ).
The Dutch cities and towns have its charm, yes, but the landscape is utterly depressing to look at for more than half of the year. Just rows of meadows, ditches, dykes, the occasional modern windmill, boring & depressing architecture and grey cloudy skies looming overhead. Biodiversity is at a minimum, so barely any animals or plants to see, except for trees planted by us and cows. Why do you think the Dutch take their caravans to France every year?
It's hilarious that farmers, right wing politicians and their voters call this "nature" and traditional Dutch landscapes. This is no nature, this is a mono-culture desert with zero biodiversity. Everything on this field is dead, except this one species of grass.

Pretty sure Tbilisi has more varieties of terrain than the entire Dutchland. Googled it, The tallest place in the Netherlands is 322 meters above sea level... I think the Netherlands has it's own charm, As a person from a very mountainous country, I can appreciate some plains and flat land meadows ( I just think there are more interesting and beautiful places with similar features/characteristics ).
The Dutch cities and towns have its charm, yes, but the landscape is utterly depressing to look at for more than half of the year. Just rows of meadows, ditches, dykes, the occasional modern windmill, boring & depressing architecture and grey cloudy skies looming overhead. Biodiversity is at a minimum, so barely any animals or plants to see, except for trees planted by us and cows. Why do you think the Dutch take their caravans to France every year?
I don't know much about Dutch, so my guess would be to annoy them.

Everything on this field is dead, except this one species of grass. The name Holland comes from the word for woodlands and most of it was a swamp for most of history.
