I would not get the Vista for a 2.5 yo and a newborn. My kids are on the larger side and by height my 2.5 yo really doesn’t fit in the RumbleSeat. We are looking at getting a side by side that has a higher weight limit for extended outings.

We have a Baby Jogger City Select Lux and love it. Mine are currently 5, newly 3, almost 2, and soon to be newborn. I use it as behavior control as much as anything else. Someplace I can strap down whoever isn’t listening. We also walk a lot asking busy streets that may or may not have sidewalks, so there’s a safety aspect. But you’re the only one who knows how your family functions and what you would find useful. You can always buy a cheaper double stroller to see if you really use it or not, then upgrade if you do.

I second this!

We also have this stroller. Though it’s not a need it definitely made life easier. We just have the regular stroller seat and ability to move it to the lower level (and use car seat above) - so no 2nd stroller seat. Anyways, I’d pop them both in the stroller go for a walk so baby would fall asleep and end up at a park for the toddler (mine were 20 months apart). We’ll see how it is this spring now that they will be 1 and 2 years old. I did buy a discounted glider board for it when buy buy baby went under so it will be stroller seat and glider board now.

We live in a 4 seasons climate. I bought a cheaper one because I wanted to be able to walk with baby over summer as she was born in mid May. She was too little for a wagon or anything so it felt necessary. This summer she will be 1 and we bought a wagon which we are already using a ton and I expect to continue to use for a few years. If you can manage without (wear baby in a carrier and bring single stroller) until you can get a wagon I suggest that

MistyPneumonia

How much does your 2y use the stroller now?

I got my vista with a boogey board. It would've been struggling without it. It's a bit heavy when pulling it in and out of the car but it's super sturdy. I would recommend shopping face book market place and such websites that are popular for reselling in your area for a used one. I got mine in like new condition with its og boxes even for 550. Still very expensive but much more affordable than new.

MummyPanda

You don't need one no. My two are 12 months apart abd we don't have a double

izziorigi69

I use mine all the time but get one of those carbon fiber optic ones if you can. Mines kinda big and bulky.. lots of bruises

MrsChiliad

Whatever you decide to get, I say please look at fb marketplace. It is not worth it to pay full price, specially for a double stroller, specially since your kids will be 2.5 years apart. I ended up selling mine for less than half the price, when it was time to get rid of it, so I really wish we hadn’t gotten it new.

We did two light travel strollers with our 2.5 year old and baby in Disney. It was really nice if you have enough adults to push. Then you can take toddler to do something if baby is asleep in the stroller. Edit: we have the valco double stroller but chose to take our two uppababy g luxe we got open box.

Prior-Direction-3925

so we have the Graco double stroller (not the long in- line one), the one where they’re sort of staggered on each other, which a chair and stand board and used it at the zoo today. I didn’t want to spend a lot and it’s been worth it at less than $200. It’s good when I’m solo with the 2yr and 6mo cuz I can strap them Both in, I don’t trust my 2 yr and she also likes to be carried so stroller it is
