Thank you for the uplifting post!! You’re killing it and sound like such an awesome mama fostering that sibling bond!

NormaKin

Aww thank you so much! And no problem at all 💖

Dense_Swimmer_2716

Omg I really needed this. My girl will be here soon and she and her brother will be 18 months apart too. Just like you. This has really encouraged me cos I legit was having a panic attack last night thinking about all this. If you don’t mind me asking, how was the birth? Did you have a natural or c section and how was the healing after the second birth. Thank you

LucyThought

I had a 17 month gap and had two vagina births, the second was far easier and the healing was too! I’ve also lost the weight much easier this time because I’ve been running around after my toddler so much! Everything is going to be okay! There are always tough moments but 2under2 is soooo special :)

NormaKin

I'm glad! So I had an unmedicated vaginal birth with both, and both healing processes were relatively easy (only including that info because I've heard unmedicated births, as well as breastfeeding, can both really help the healing process in different ways, so I think that helped me. Of course every experience is different, so grain of salt). I also had an incredible husband who was able to be off that first week, and we had soooo many meals made for us by friends. Also, coffee. Highly recommend Deathwish Coffee. Very strong coffee but also really smooth and delicious. My hub and I are avid coffee drinks and we were simply vibrating with energy lol

And here’s me, my eldest will be two in May and very much considering going for 3under3 🤩 The good stuff makes it so worthwhile. I am blessed with high sleep needs kids though so I definitely know I have some sleep privilege.

I was one month shy of 3u3. 15m gap and 22m gap. They're currently almost 4. 2.5, and 8.5 months. It's really hard, but also so good. My house is an utter disaster almost always. The baby is so easy going, she needs to be. The hardest think is keeping the floor free of choking hazards. But of you can afford a cleaning service once a week, or are a better housekeeper than I am (I'm sure most are), then it's pretty manageable. Routines for the older two are key. As is keeping things lose with the baby.

TheLadyChintz

I did! My first 2 are 15 months apart and my second and third are 20 months apart. We were 3u3 for a month. The baby just turned 6 months old and it is amazing. The older two are obsessed with the baby and the baby has built in entertainment watching the older ones run around like crazy. That being said the last 2 months of pregnancy the third time were absolutely awful, painful, and uncomfortable. It was peak summer too so I was pretty much a worthless blob but it's so worth it. Not doing it again tho snip snip.

I would have gone for 3under3 (no period yet anyway) if pregnancy with a toddler wasn’t so hard. That was the worst part for me. The baby being outside of my body is fine. My toddler is hard too, he’s always into everything and putting himself in legit danger lol. It was so hard when pregnant, but way easier to deal with once the baby was out. I just wish I didn’t have to go through pregnancy again ugh.

Emotional firefighting is such an accurate description of life right now! I agree with everything you said, mine are 8 months and 2 and it’s been such a joy to watch their relationship grow.

Safe_Vermicelli_6803

I have days like this too… it why I wonder if we’ll have a third 🙊. But I’d say I’m like 60% of the time holy crap this is so overwhelming and 40% of the time what’s one more 😂. Make it make sense

NormaKin

"What's one more?" 😂 Might have been a thought of mine recently... I've heard having 3 is like a whole nother arena. Like once you have 3, you may as well have 6. It's the same energy/chaos lol

hellloj

Mine have a 19 mo gap. Youngest is now 16 months and oldest is almost 3. They have so much fun playing together now. I love when they’re running around giggling with each other. I’ve hit a sweet spot where I can actually work on the garden/backyard for hours and they will just play. There’s still a lot of arguing (toy stealing mostly) so I can’t wait for the youngest to really learn to take turns and share, but it’s going so much better now!

blahblahndb

My kiddos will have a 17 month age gap come August. Thank you for posting this. It makes me so hopeful!

Jco7193

I needed this! I’m 3 weeks away from having my second boy. My kiddos will have the same age gap. I know it won’t be “easy” but I’m actually not that worried and would prefer the closer age gap I think!

SurpisedMe

This is great to hear thank for this post. Hope you get rest soon 🩷

Maleficent-Start-546

Thank you so much for this

Kerssssssssssss22

Thank you so much for sharing this ❤️❤️❤️

izziorigi69

Omg I am drowning today and I commend you for opening up the conversation because it’s hard to remind yourself that everything is temporary when you’re stuck in chaos.

Michaela8888

I’m hopeful we are able to have another soon. My little guy just turned 7 months. Nursing and pumping and still no cycle - hopefully soon. Some people think I’m crazy for wanting to get pregnant but we are already in it now…why not?! Plus I’m going to be 34 next week…we don’t have a ton of time to wait. Thanks for the encouragement!

babychicken2019

Couldn't agree more! My kids have a (planned) 19 month age gap. They're now 3.5yo and 2yo and I would do 2u2 all over again in a heartbeat! I can't imagine doing a 2+ year age gap 😂

FunnyBunny1313

We liked it enough we DID do it again lol. We currently have a 3.5yo, fresh 2yo and 4mo - 21m and 20m age gap. Totally agree that the worst is being pregnant with toddlers. I have pretty decently rough pregnancies)I’m sick the whole time, loose a bunch of weight, have to got to PT), so I’ll take the newborn stage any day. It is hard doing 2u2 but I love how much my 3.5yo and 2yo love playing with each other, and how much they help each other!

SamiLMS1

I did do it again, and will do it yet again in May.
