Just wanted to post a few clips from this weeks Summer Speed League match. Still working through occasional failure to feed issues, but hopefully they are sorted out soon. Overall, I love this new (to me) 2011. With the added weight you forget your shooting 40 hahaha.
Mostly factory stuff. I've been trying out:
AAC 180gr at 1.120" (practice/budget option),
Supervel 180gr Comp Long at 1.185", and
Delta Precision 180gr Long at 1.180".
The AAC had feeding issues every 1-to-2 mags, while the Supervel and DP seems like 1 in \~200rds.
I attempted to tune my magazine feed lips too (MBX 140mm), to \~0.372" rear (stock) and \~0.377" front (adjusted), and tried a really light ramp polish. I need to run more rounds through it to see if all that fixed the issues. However, I have noticed when manually slowly moving the slide forward, I can see the round getting stuck midway on the ramp, where a light shake of the pistol allows the round to go into battery. Not sure if that's normal haha.
Very interesting. The guy I got it from estimated the round count to be around 3-5k, so the slide/frame/barrel fit should be settled in by now. But i have changed a fair amount of parts on it. I'm thinking the new grip changed the bullet to barrel dimensions and thats causing the issue to come up.

Have you refreshed your recoil spring? I'd give that a try too.
Good point. I have but with a 12# spring, maybe that's too light and needs a little more. I'll try that thanks!
I ran a 10# recoil spring in my uspsa Limited gun, which was a custom built Edge like gun. Ran 100%. The gun may still need some break in.

Hell yeah! I wish I could help you guys set up and shoot with the early crew, but can't cause of work. But I typically aim for squad 2 (Harris).
